49ers vs. SeahawksOne week of NFL betting action is in the books, and here at Bankroll Sports, we are set to give it a go with our Week 2 NFL betting lines. Join us as we break down all 16 of the games on the NFL rotation schedule and check out which ones have the hottest bets to place.

For the second straight weekend, the New England Patriots are going to be the biggest favorites on the NFL odds, and we still aren’t all that sure that they are that good. This time, they’ve got the New York Jets coming to town for the home opener in Foxboro, but we still see a heck of a lot of problems. RB Stevan Ridley is fumbling the ball all over the place, while RB Shane Vereen is now going to join TE Rob Gronkowski on the sidelines injured. The receivers don’t really look like they have much of a clue as to where they are running routes to on a regular basis, and that’s going to prove to be problematic going forward. QB Geno Smith won the first start of his career against the Bucs, but this is a much, much different task going on the road to Foxboro on a short week of preparation against the behemoths of the division.

Last week, we had a ton of very close NFL point spreads, but this week, the numbers are a lot more spread out. There are eight spreads that are featuring at least 6.5 points or more, and a lot of those games wouldn’t have been set this high even just a week ago.

5Dimes NFLFor example, on Monday Night Football, the Cincinnati Bengals are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just last week before any game kicked off, the Bengals were slated to be -1.5 in that game. Now, after Pittsburgh looked so horrid in its opener against the Titans, it has risen all the way up to +6.5. Of course, injuries have a lot to do with that, knowing that the Steelers lost three players, most notably OL Maurkice Pouncey to season ending injuries on Sunday as well. The bottom line for Pittsburgh though, is that it cannot run the football to save its life for the second straight season, and regardless of who is back there, we don’t see any improvement. About the only good news for Pittsburgh is that everyone lost in Week 1 in the AFC North, and the possibility is there to rebound. Still, QB Andy Dalton looks the better of the two quarterbacks in this game at this point, and it is very justifiable to think that the Bengals could open at -6.5.

Other teams that are favored by 6.5 on Sunday include the Chicago Bears over the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers over the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Ravens over the Cleveland Browns, and perhaps most interesting of them all, the Philadelphia Eagles over the San Diego Chargers. There was a lot of respect here for the Chargers after a half of football against the Texans on Monday, but in the end, they were demoralized, getting beaten 31-28 after giving up 24 unanswered points to end the game. Philly meanwhile, has seen its stock shoot upward immediately. The Eagles were slight underdogs against the Redskins last week, and they turned out a tremendous performance, including running 53 plays in the first half, the most in an NFL game in the first half since the 1998 Vikings ran 58 plays in the first half. Head Coach Chip Kelly and company are amongst the big time movers and shakers, and there is a great chance that they could start at 2-0 this year. Do keep in mind though, that San Diego is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games played on short rest, and coming off of a Monday Night Football game into a Sunday game across the country, the Bolts are sure to be sharp as could be.

bovada

There are a couple other teams that are favored by more than 6.5. The Houston Texans, fresh off of their comeback we just spoke of against San Diego, will look to tame the Tennesssee Titans in their home opener as 8.5-point favorites on the NFL lines, while the Atlanta Falcons are giving seven to the St. Louis Rams.

There are going to be some tremendous close calls as well. The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints are both AFC South teams that are favored by three on the road. The Panthers head north to take on the Buffalo Bills in a battle of 0-1 teams that lost heartbreakers against superior squads last week. New Orleans has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a second straight crucial NFC South battle.

It’s amazing how quickly some are selling on the Indianapolis Colts. The team was favored by double digits last week and steamed like crazy against Oakland, yet now, it is only favored by three, the value of their home field advantage against the Miami Dolphins. QB Andrew Luck and company could be in for an upset if the oddsmakers have pegged this one even remotely right. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are trending upward after crushing the Jags on Sunday, as they are favored by a field goal in their home opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

In the late games, the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals are lined at a pick ’em, while the Oakland Raiders are 5.5-point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The last time Oakland was favored by more than four points was against none other than these Jaguars last year at the O.co Coliseum.

But of course, we still have yet to talk about the two biggest games of the weekend. The national game in the 4:00 ET hour is the clash of the Manning brothers. Younger brother QB Eli Manning had a rough go of it against the Cowboys last week, but he is still set to lead his New York Giants into battle against QB Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos. The elder Manning threw an NFL record seven touchdown passes against Baltimore on Thursday last week, and he has a long week to prepare for his trip to the Meadowlands. If New York loses this game and starts at 0-2, the buzzards are going to start to swarm around Head Coach Tom Coughlin once again.

But the biggest game is the one in the NFC West between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers. Neither of these two played quite as well as perhaps their fans had been hoping for in Week 1, but both escaped with narrow victories to move to 1-0. This one though, is going to be a flat out war. Seattle hasn’t lost a game at home in darn near two full calendar years, and the 49ers were absolutely destroyed last season when they went to CenturyLink Field. The winner is probably going to hold the upper hand on the loser for at least the first part of the season until the return matchup at Candlestick Park later on this season. QB Russell Wilson and QB Colin Kaepernick should both be in for stern tests. The slight edge goes to Seattle at -2.5, but no results will be surprising.

Regarding ‘totals’ this week, the Manning Bowl features the highest number on the board at 54.5, and that shouldn’t be all that surprising that the number is that high. Last week featured 64 touchdown passes in the 16 games combined, the most in a single week in NFL history. Not surprisingly, there is only one game with a ‘total’ in the 30s, and that’s the clash between the offensively inept Jags and the offensive-sporadic Raiders, a number which is set at 39.5. The Monday nighter in the AFC North only sees a ‘total’ of 40.5 hit the NFL rotation schedule, while there are five other games in which a ‘total’ of at least 47 opened on the board. If you’re looking for some big time line movement on a ‘total’, consider the game between the Chargers and the Eagles. Both teams played high scoring Monday Night Football games last week, and Philly is going to be a trendy ‘over’ team all year long until Head Coach Chip Kelly and his mates slow down just a bit, something that we don’t see happening any time in the near future.

Central Florida KnightsThe 2012 college football betting campaign is officially more than a week old, and here at Bankroll Sports, we are going to be keeping tabs on the Week 2 schedule, chock full of all of our Week 2 CFB picks and an NCAA football odds analysis.

The week begins on Thursday in the Big East with the first game of the year for the Cincinnati Bearcats. They have some high hopes that this will be a year in which they can get back to the BCS. However, the team that they are playing against, the Pitt Panthers, know that they badly need to make a comeback after getting embarrassed by Youngstown State last week in the home opener. Needless to say, it wasn’t the opener that Head Coach Paul Chryst thought that he was getting into. The Bearcats probably wouldn’t have been favored by all that much had this game been played last week, but after watching U-Pitt get trashed by an FCS team, UC is getting the nod by 3.5 points.

On Friday, it’s off to the Beehive State, where the Utah Utes and the Utah State Aggies are going to square off with one another. Both teams were able to beat FCS opponents last week, but we really probably didn’t learn all that much from those games. What we do know is that the Aggies haven’t won a game in this series in a dozen tries, and that is a streak that they will hope to end when they host the Utes in what might be the closest game that these two have played in years. Utah State is going to be hyped for this one on national television, and it is only an underdog by a touchdown.

Saturday’s college football schedule really doesn’t have all that much in the way of featured games. There isn’t a game on the docket in which two teams that started hte season ranked in the Top 25 are going to be playing each other, and that isn’t likely to change when the new rankings come out. Maybe the marquee game pits the Florida Gators against the Texas A&M Aggies in the first game for the Aggies in the SEC. A&M had its game cancelled against Louisiana Tech last week, while the Gators really didn’t look all that sharp against the Bowling Green Falcons. QB Jeff Driskel has been named the starting quarterback for the Gators, but it isn’t impressing the oddsmakers. Texas A&M, in its first game with a new head coach (Kevin Sumlin) and a new quarterback (Johnny Manziel) is favored by 1.5 points.

This is also the week for the first SEC game for the Missouri Tigers. The Tigers probably have the toughest transition into a new conference in the country, but at least they get their first SEC game in Columbia. It’ll be a tough task as well for the Georgia Bulldogs, who are amped up and ready to go, ranked in the Top 10 in the nation. Head Coach Mark Richt and the crew are thinking about a National Championship this year, but they are only laying 3.5 on the road in this one.

One of the top mid major teams in the nation this year, the UCF Knights are going to have a chance to put themselves on the map when they go into the Horseshoe to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both of these teams looked awfully impressive in their openers, but this is going to be a better litmus test for both than what we saw last week when Ohio State trounced the Miami Redhawks and UCF beat up the Akron Zips. Many think that this could be a game in which the Bucks are on upse alert, but the college football odds suggest differently. UCF is getting 17.5 points.

That’s really the theme this coming Saturday, though. There are currently 43 games on the board for this coming week. Of those games, 14 feature college football spreads of at least 21 points, whereas just 15 games have point spreads of seven points or fewer.

There definitely are some storylines to watch, though. The Alabama Crimson Tide are laying 40 againts the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in what amounts to be the biggest point spread of the week between two FBS teams. Of course, the biggest favorite is going to be the Florida State Seminoles against the Savannah State Tigers. The FCS reps were smashed 84-0 by the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week, and the Big XII reps opened up as 67.5 point favorites. Florida State will likely be the biggest favorite that we have ever seen in college football when this line comes out over the weekend.

Meanwhile in Evanston, both the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Northwestern Wildcats are going to be hoping to build off of positive starts to their seasons. The ‘Dores were beaten in a gritty game on opening night against the South Carolina Gamecocks, but the Wildcats won the game of the week after figuring out how to take care of the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome after blowing a huge lead. Vanderbilt is laying a field goal, but you can bet that there will be bowl mania at Ryan Field, as the Wildcats are a bowl hungry team, and the crowd has to be excited with what QB Kain Colter is bringing to the table.

The Texas State Bobcats are going to be playing their first game at home in their FBS history, and they have a lot to be thrilled about. They were able to go on the road and beat the Houston Cougars last week as humongous underdogs, and this week, they are catching 17.5 at home against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Other notable games on the Week 2 college football schedule… LSU is laying 23.5 to Washington… Oregon State is going to have its work cut out for it playing against Wisconsin at Reser Stadium, where the hosts are catching 7.5 points… Notre Dame, fresh off of its romp of Navy, gets to come home, where it is laying 14.5 to Purdue… Massachusetts will be playing its first home game since becoming an FBS team this weekend, and it gets as easy of a draw as it could ask against an Indiana team that hasn’t beaten many FBS teams over the course of the last few seasons. The Minutemen are still 13.5 point underdogs, though.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 2!

Reggie Bush vs. Houston Texans
We definitely learned one thing about the Dolphins last week, and that’s that RB Reggie Bush is going to need to be used as a runner and a receiver. He may or may not get goal line carries (Lex Hilliard did last week in the one and only chance that he had on the field), but we know that against the Texans’ new 3-4 look, Bush is going to find himself a ton of open holes on the field. Especially if you’re dealing in a PPR league, Bush is a great start this week, as he might be good for a dozen receptions to go with his 40-50 rushing yards that he is sure to get against a defense that we really don’t know a heck of a lot about quite yet.

Bet Revolution

Brandon Gibson and Sam Bradford vs. New York Giants
Last week, no one was all that high on the Rams against the Eagles, but we have to remember that that Philadelphia secondary is like none other in the league. Bradford has a finger injury that we have to deal with, but with an extra day of preparation, we think that he’ll be fine. The Giants just allowed over 300 passing yards to QB Rex Grossman of the Redskins, something that should virtually never happen, and that being said, this is going to be a porous unit until some bodies start to get healthier. Gibson is going to be the primary target in all likelihood for Bradford after WR Danny Amendola went down with an elbow injury in Week 1. Don’t be shocked if these two hook up a half dozen times for over 100 yards and a TD on Monday Night Football.

Santana Moss vs. Arizona Cardinals
Moss really isn’t much of a sleeper, since he was probably a mid-round pick in your fantasy league, but with Grossman at the helm, the former Miami Hurricane is going to be the subject of a ton of targets once again. He had nine targets last week against the Giants, and this week, he is facing perhaps the only secondary in football that is as bad as the one that he faced last week. Arizona will definitely show some holes, and there isn’t a corner that can keep up what Moss’ speed, save for DB Patrick Peterson, and we wouldn’t be thrilled with the prospects of a rookie going up against a vet like Moss.

Devery Henderson vs. Chicago Bears
This is the second time that we are going to be asking one of the secondary receiving options for QB Drew Brees to do us the favor of scoring a touchdown, and we tend to think that a big week in Week 1 is just the beginning of what could be a bust out season for Henderson. The former LSU Tiger is likely to get the nod alongside WR Robert Meachem this week, and if that’s the case, though Chicago’s secondary is solid, Brees should be throwing him the ball quite a bit. Meachem and TE Jimmy Graham are both great starts this week as well.

Week 2 of the 2011 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2011 Week 2 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 2 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this week…

It was definitely an interesting week of football on the Week 1 NFLX lines, as there were a number of big time blow outs, something that is not characteristic this early in the year. The New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers posted two of the biggest blowouts, winning games by 35 and 25 points respectively and posting dominating outings on both sides of the ball. QB Tom Brady didn’t suit for the Pats last week, nor did most of his first team offensive friends. Tampa Bay is at home on Thursday though, and that is good enough for the oddsmakers to make it a 2.5 point favorite.

A dozen home teams won last week, and this week, there are a slew of hosts that are favorites on the NFL Week 2 lines. This week, there are four teams that are favored by at least six points at home, including the Green Bay Packers (vs. the Arizona Cardinals), Baltimore Ravens (vs. the Kansas City Chiefs), Miami Dolphins (vs. the Carolina Panthers), and the New York Jets (vs. the Cincinnati Bengals).

Once again this week, there is only one team that is favored on the road. Last week, the Bucs pulled off a 25-0 romp over the Chiefs as we mentioned before as road favorites, and this week, the NFL odds are calling for a big win for the Washington Redskins over the Indianapolis Colts. Without QB Peyton Manning taking snaps, Indy was destroyed last week by the up and coming St. Louis Rams 33-10, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see similar this week, especially with Washington coming off of that 16-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the home opener.

**Click Here for the Best Sports Betting System in the World**

‘Totals’ are all across the board this week as well. The lowest number of the bunch is the 32.5 on the board between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. These two offenses combined for just two field goals in Week 1 of the preseason, and both field goals were scored by Baltimore. Now, both head coaches are going to try to get their acts together and get some TDs on the board. This might seem like an overreaction by the oddsmakers, but they kept the ‘totals’ in both of their first two preseason games relatively low as well, so this low of a number isn’t a surprise.

The highest ‘total’ is the 37.5 between the Pack and the Cardinals. Arizona’s first team offense struggled against the Oakland Raiders last week, but in the end, the team was good for 24 points. Green Bay had the exact opposite problem, putting up 17 points with the first teamers on the field and scoring absolutely nothing with the second team out there. The key is that both of these defenses are coming off of bad weeks in which they allowed teams to score in the mid-20s, which is why this ‘total’ is so much higher than most of the rest.

There is a nationally televised game every single night this week in the preseason NFL betting action. The Philadelphia Eagles are three point underdogs to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the battle of Pennsylvania on Thursday night on Fox. On Friday, Fox has a southern style showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags are three point favorites. The NFL Network is going to showcase Saturday’s Houston Texans as 1.5 point favorites at home against the New Orleans Saints. Sunday Night Football on NBC debuts this week with the Dallas Cowboys at -1 on the NFL Week 2 odds against the San Diego Chargers. Things wrap up on Monday Night Football with the duel in the Meadowlands between the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants, where the hosts are 4.5 point favorites.

Complete List of Week 2 NFL Lines Can Be Found Below

Week 2 of the 2010 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 week 2 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the week 2 NFL lines. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend…..

The Manning brothers are going to be highlighting what should be another fantastic week of NFL football wagering action. The New York Giants will send younger brother Eli up against the Indianapolis Colts and older brother Peyton. These teams started off the year in two vastly different directions, as the Colts were run over by the Houston Texans 34-24, while the Giants were busy making mincemeat out the Carolina Panthers 31-18. The current week two lines at Oddsmaker currently have the Colts listed at 5.5 point favorites in their home opener at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The biggest favorites of all the 2010 week two NFL spreads at this point are the Green Bay Packers. The Pack are coming off of an impressive seven point road win at the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and they are coming home for the first time to take on the Buffalo Bills, who were scorched by the Miami Dolphins 15-10. Green Bay is listed at a big 13 point favorite.

Whereas Week 1 featured a ton of home underdogs, the second week of the regular season only features three hosts that are pups. On Monday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers will try to rebound from their embarrassing defeat at the Seattle Seahawks by taking on the defending champions, the New Orleans Saints. The black and gold marched over the Minnesota Vikings 14-9 in the opener last Thursday night. San Fran is a 4.5 point home underdog, making it the largest week 2 spread.

The Washington Redskins were 3.5 point underdogs last week when the Dallas Cowboys came to town, and they are once again 3.5 point pups against the other team from the Lone Star State, the Houston Texans. Houston posted arguably its biggest win in franchise history when RB Arian Foster rushed for 231 yards en route to a romp at home of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Detroit Lions probably got screwed out of what would’ve been their first road win in 22 tries against the Chicago Bears last weekend, but they will take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who could be playing without QB Kevin Kolb on Sunday. Kolb suffered a concussion last week and might be held out, especially considering how well QB Michael Vick played in his absence. The hosts are 3.5 point pups.

In the other potential marquee game on the slate in Week 2, the Minnesota Vikings are six point home favorites in QB Brett Favre’s first contest of the year in front of the hometown faithful against the Miami Dolphins.

Complete List of Week 1 College Football Lines Can Be Found Below

Three huge games are going to be highlighting a tremendous weekend of college football betting action, and here at Bankroll Sports, we’ve got all of the odds and ends covered.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are going to most likely be without the services of RB Mark Ingram for this crucial tilt with the Penn State Nittany Lions. As a result, the Tide roll into this one as 12 point favorites, whereas they might have been significantly larger choices had they been a fully fit squad. Penn State’s new QB Robert Bolden is going to be the first freshman to ever face this type of a test under HC Joe Paterno. This could be a very interesting game with a huge payoff for the winner, especially if it is a PSU team that is in dire need of some respect if it hopes to be in the National Championship picture.

The Florida State Seminoles picked up a big victory to start the HC Jimbo Fisher era last week against Samford, but things can change this week in a hurry against the Oklahoma Sooners. OU is going to have to rebound quickly from a poor showing in a 31-24 win over the Utah State Aggies. QB Landry Jones could be in for a good game against an FSU secondary that was terrorized at times last year. Still, the garnet and gold are only 7.5 point underdogs and could be in a position to pull an upset of similar proportions this year as they did last season at BYU.

That FSU/Oklahoma game is one of the two battles this week that mark rematches of National Championship Games. The other is the duel between the Miami Hurricanes and the Ohio State Buckeyes, who squared off in the Fiesta Bowl in 2003 in an epic overtime tussle won by OSU. This year, the Bucks are going to be the decided 8.5 point favorites as opposed to the double digit dogs they were when all the marbles were on the line seven years ago. There are two major Heisman Trophy contenders in this game, as QB Jacory Harris for the Canes and QB Terrelle Pryor for the Buckeyes. These two are going to need big efforts to not only improve their team’s chances of sticking in the National Championship race, but to bolster their chances of going to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist in December.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Michigan Wolverines are going to collide in a duel of epic historical proportions. Both of these teams got off to a good start this year by picking off reasonable opponents. Still, both are going to look for a tremendous effort against the other. Though first year head coach Brian Kelly at Notre Dame might not be on a hot seat, HC Rich Rodriguez still needs some more wins at Michigan to save his skin and potentially his coaching career. He’ll have QB Denard Robinson on his side after having a fantastic game last week against the Connecticut Huskies.

For the second straight week, the San Jose State Spartans are the biggest underdog on the board. They are 38.5 point underdogs at Camp Randall in the home opener for the Wisconsin Badgers.

At the bottom of this page, you will find the complete listing of week two lines for all the NFL games from BetUS Sportsbook (100% football signup bonus at BetUS when you click here). There were a few small surprises in week one, such as the New York Jets who handled the Huston Texans on the road, the San Francisco 49ers who upset the defending NFC Champion, Cardinals in Arizona, and the Denver Broncos took care of Cincinnati in a tight, and very ugly game. The Niners are 1.5 point favorites at home vs. the Seattle Seahawks (1-0) and the Denver Broncos are 3 point favorites at home vs. the Cleveland Browns (0-1). The oddsmakers have the New York Jets listed as 5 point home underdogs vs. the New England Patriots.  The Pats squeaked by the Buffalo Bills at home on Monday Night Football in week 1. There is not a single winless team that is favored in week two of the 2009 NFL season, including the Chicago Bears who lost star linebacker Brian Urlacher for the season on Monday Night. The Bears opened as 1 point underdogs at home vs. the defending Super Bowl Champion, Pittsburgh Steelers. Bettors quickly jumped on that line as the Steelers jumped to -3 in just a few short hours after the week two line opened for this game. Perhaps this was due to Jay Cutler’s pitiful performance on Sunday night where he threw 5 interceptions. The biggest line on the board is the Washington Redskins (1-0); listed as 10 favorite over St. Louis.  The Rams (0-1) may have looked like the worst team in football in week one. 2008’s worst team, the Detroit Lions (0-1) are listed as 9.5 home dogs vs. the Minnesota Vikings (1-0), who looked very impressive in their week one win at Cleveland where star running back Adrian Peterson ran wild. The Bears, Lions and Jets are NFL Footballthree of the only four home underdogs listed on the week two schedule. The other is the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0), who may be without star Quarterback, Donovan McNabb. The ‘Iigles are listed as 1 point home dogs vs. the New Orleans Saints (1-0), who spanked the lowly Lions on Sunday. As for the Monday Night Football matchup, we have another home underdog in the Miami Dolphins (0-1). The Fins are listed as 3 point dogs at home vs. the 1-0 Indianapolis Colts (1-0).  Full list of week 2 spreads are listed below.  We will update these lines throughout the week as they are updated at Bet US.
