Thursday Night NFL Week 11 Lines For 11/14/2013

Indianapolis (-3, 41.5) at Tennessee 8:25 PM EST
Week 11 of the NFL season kicks off Thursday night on NFL network. The Indianapolis Colts (6–3 SU, 5–4 ATS) travel to Nashville to meet the Tennessee Titans (4–5 BEST YOU, 5-3–1 ATS) in a key AFC South tilt. Both teams are coming into this match up off of upset losses. Indianapolis was defeated 38–8 at the hands of the St. Louis Rams. Tennessee lost at home to the then winless Jacksonville Jaguars 29–27.

Sunday Week Eleven NFL Spreads For 11/17/2013

New York (A) at Buffalo (-1.5, 41.5) 1:00 PM EST
The New York Jets (5–4 SU, 6–3 ATS), fresh off their bye week travel to upstate New York to take on the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo (3–7 SU, 5–5 ATS) is coming off a 13 point loss at Pittsburgh as they struggled mightily in E.J. Manuel’s return from injury. The Jets are currently second in the AFC East and went into the bye on a positive note defeating the New Orleans Saints 26–20.

Detroit (-1.5, 48) at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM EST
The NFC North leading Detroit Lions (6–3 SU, 5–4 ATS) head to the steel city to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (3–6 SU, 3–6 ATS). Detroit, winners of two in a row are coming off a big win in Chicago 21–19. The Steelers righted the ship after a blowout loss to New England as they dominated the Buffalo Bills winning 23–10. The Steelers cannot afford another loss as they will risk falling out of playoff contention.

Washington at Philadelphia (-3.5, 52) 1:00 PM EST
The Philadelphia Eagles (5–5 SU, 5–5 ATS), winners of two in a row, host the Washington Redskins in a key NFC East matchup. Philadelphia has won two in a row and is tied with Dallas for the NFC East division lead. Washington (3–6 SU, 3–6 ATS) is coming off a Thursday night loss to the hands of the Minnesota Vikings. Strangely enough, Philadelphia really hasn’t had much success at home and will be looking to break the trend. Washington can’t seem to get on a roll as they have yet to win consecutive games this year.

Baltimore at Chicago (-3, 46.5) 1:00 PM EST
The Baltimore Ravens (4–5 SU, 5–4 ATS) hope to build some momentum off an overtime win as they go on the road to face the Chicago Bears (5–4 SU, 2–6–1 ATS). Bears quarterback Jay Cutler struggled last Sunday with an ankle injury and his status is reportedly ruled out for Sunday’s contest. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco has struggled as well; luckily Baltimore’s defense had one of their better efforts in last Sunday’s win over Cincinnati.

Cleveland at Cincinnati (-5.5, 41) 1:00 PM EST

The Cincinnati Bengals (6–4 SU, 5–4-1 ATS), losers of two straight will look to get back in the win column as they face their in state rival, the Cleveland Browns (4–5 SU, 5–4–1 ATS). The Bengals will be looking for revenge as they lost to the Browns 17–6 to Cleveland in week four. The Browns will be looking to get back into the mix of the AFC North.

Oakland at Houston (-7, 43) 1:00 PM EST
The Houston Texans (2–7 SU, 2–7 ATS) have been one of the more disappointing teams this season. The Texans are losers of seven in a row will be looking to get back in the win column as they host the Oakland Raiders (3–6 SU, 6–3 ATS). These teams last met in 2011 with Oakland getting the road win at Houston 25–20; the win was days after the death of former Oakland owner Al Davis.

Arizona (-6.5, 41) at Jacksonville 1:00 PM EST
The Arizona Cardinals (5–4 SU, 5–4 ATS) will try to continue to stay in the playoff hunt as they head to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. The Jaguars (1–8 SU, 2–7 ATS) picked up their first win of the year last week, downing the Titans at Tennessee. Jacksonville has failed to score a touchdown at Everbank Field this season. The only touchdown they’ve scored at home was when they were the home team in London.

Minnesota at Seattle (-13.5, 46) 4:25 PM EST
The Seattle Seahawks (9–1 SU, 6–4 ATS) will try to keep their two game lead in the NFC West as they host the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings (2–7 SU, 4–5 ATS) picked up their second win of the year last Thursday as they beat the Washington Redskins 34–27. The Seahawks are undefeated at home this year, winning by an average of 16 points per game.

San Francisco at New Orleans (-3, 47.5) 4:25 PM EST
The New Orleans Saints (7–2 SU, 6–3 ATS), fresh off their 49–17 win over Dallas will try to keep it rolling as they host the San Francisco 49ers in one of the better matchups on Sunday. The 49ers (6–3 SU, 6–3 ATS) have won the previous two matchups in this series. The 49ers, as 3 point underdogs in the week 11 lines, won one of the most memorable playoff game in 2011-12 36–22, and won last year in New Orleans 31–21.

Green Bay at New York (N) (-6.5, 42.5) 4:25 PM EST
The New York Giants (3–6 SU, 3–6 ATS), winners of three in a row will try to keep pace in the NFC East as they host the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay (5–4 SU, 4–5 ATS), losers of two in a row may have Aaron Rodgers back for this game. Rodgers is currently questionable with a collarbone injury.

Kansas City at Denver (-8, 51) 8:30 PM EST
The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (9–0 SU, 6–3 ATS) will look to extend their division lead as they travel to the mile high city to take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (8–1 SU, 5–4 ATS). The Chiefs are coming off their bye and will look to prove that their undefeated record is no fluke. Manning suffered an ankle injury in last Sunday’s contest against San Diego but reportedly will definitely play on Sunday night.

Monday Night Football Week 10 NFL Lines For 11/11/2013

New England at Carolina (-2.5, 44.5) 8:40 PM EST
In one of the better match ups on Monday night this season, the Carolina Panthers (6–3 SU, 6–3 ATS) will host the New England Patriots. The Panthers have won five games in a row, and are coming off their biggest win of the season at San Francisco. New England (7–2 SU, 5–4 ATS) is coming off the bye week, and will be facing there stiffest road test this season.

Complete List of Week 11 College Football Lines & Odds Can Be Found Below

Below you will find the complete list of week 11 lines.  We also have provided a little info on all the marquee matchups for week 11 of the 2013 college football season. Sports fans and bettors are in for a great weekend as there are 2 matchups of teams in the top 10, as well as the #1 team in the nation in action against a ranked SEC rival. One thing is for sure, the jockeying for BCS title contention is sure to make this weekend one of the more memorable ones of the 2013 season.

Week 11 NCAA Game Lines For Thursday, November 7, 2013

#3 Oregon (-10.5) at #5 Stanford 9:00 pm EST

The #3 ranked Oregon Ducks will head to Palo Alto, California to take on the Stanford Cardinal in what some will call the game of the year in the PAC-12. These two met up last year in Eugene, and Stanford ruined Oregon’s BCS title hopes with a 17-14 overtime victory. This game is sure to get a lot of attention from the betting public. Oregon is currently getting about 75% of the action.

#10 Oklahoma at #5 Baylor (-15) 7:30 pm EST

The undefeated #5 Baylor Bears will host #10 Oklahoma in what will be Baylor’s stiffest completion thus far in 2013. The Sooners will look to limit Baylor’s offense, which is tops in the country in most offensive categories. The Bears are one of 5 unbeaten teams, and will look to win big to get style points in a crowded BCS race.

Week 11 NCAA Game Lines For Saturday, November 9, 2013

#2 Florida State (-35) at Wake Forest 12:00 pm EST

The #2 ranked Florida State Seminoles will try to keep the momentum going when they travel to Winston Salem, North Carolina to face the upset-minded Demon Deacons of Wake Forest. The Seminoles have reeled off 4 impressive victories in a row and won those contests by an average margin of 39 points. Wake Forest has had a couple of upset wins this year over N.C. State and Maryland.

Kansas St at #25 Texas Tech (-2.5) 3:30 pm EST

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will try to rebound from an 18 point home loss last week, as they host the Kansas St Wildcats. This is a tough spot for the Red Raiders, as they will need to stay focused with a game at Baylor last week. Kansas St won this matchup last year 55-24, but most know that this is not the same Wildcat squad from a year ago.

#9 Auburn (-7.5) at Tennessee 12:00 pm EST

The Auburn Tigers will try to keep their SEC championship hopes alive as they face the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville. Since losing at LSU, Auburn has won 5 straight, including an impressive victory at Texas A&M. Tennessee has played extremely well at home this season, losing by 3 to Georgia in overtime, and upsetting South Carolina 23-21.

Nebraska at Michigan (-7) 3:30 pm EST

Two 6-2 teams in the Big 10 clash in Ann Arbor, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers face the Michigan Wolverines. Nebraska got back in the win column last week, with the help of a hail mary touchdown pass at the end of regulation to beat Northwestern. Michigan on the other hand, had a rough time with Michigan St, losing 29-6. Michigan head coach Brady Hoke is still undefeated at Ann Arbor. This will only be the third road game for the Cornhuskers this year. They are 1-1 away from Lincoln, winning at Purdue 44-7, and losing at Minnesota 34-23.

Houston at #21 Central Florida (-10.5) 7:00 pm EST

The Houston Cougars and Central Florida Golden Knights meet in Orlando on Saturday night in an American Athletic Conference showdown. These teams are no strangers to each other, as they were both in Conference USA prior to joining the AAC. Central Florida’s only loss came at the hands of South Carolina 28-25. Houston’s only loss was against BYU, losing by 1 in a 47-46 shootout. If this game is anything like the prior meetings between these two, it should be quite entertaining.

#13 LSU at #1 Alabama (-12.5) 8:00 pm EST

The game on Saturday that will have the majority of sports fans and bettors attention is none other than the battle in Tuscaloosa between LSU and Alabama. In the past few seasons, no other regular season matchup has received as much attention as this one. The last meeting between these two SEC rivals lived up to the hype, as Alabama scored with 51 seconds left to seal a 21-17 victory. This might be one of the best offenses LSU has had in quite some time, yet the defense has not been as stellar as in years past. As for Alabama, their defense is playing at an extremely high level. Since giving up 42 points to Texas A&M in their second game, Alabama has not allowed more than 10 points in a game; while winning by an average of 36 points per game.

Tom BradyWeek 11 of the 2012 NFL schedule is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2012 Week 11 NFL football lines and (at the very bottom) spreads along with a breakdown of the current Week 11 NFL odds. Quarterback injuries are really the problem this week across the NFL, as there are a number of starters that have already either been ruled out or could be on the shelf this week that have kept the NFL Week 11 odds off the board as of Wednesday morning. The Monday Night Football affair between the Chicago Bears and the San Francisco 49ers is one of the biggest games of the week, but these two teams are both dealing with massive quarterback problems. Both QB Alex Smith and QB Jay Cutler suffered concussions last week, and it is unknown whether either one is going to be able to get into the saddle this week to face the other’s ferocious defense. It’s a shame as well, as this is a battle between two of the best teams in the NFC, and the winner might have the inside track towards a first round bye in the playoffs. For now though, the game is off the board and won’t likely have a line debut for at least another couple of days until matters are more clear for both sides.

Other quarterbacks aren’t even lucky enough to have the questionable tag put over their heads. QB Michael Vick knows that he is out for at least this week, and perhaps for the rest of the season as well. QB Nick Foles is going to make his first career start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Washington Redskins, and that should make for an interesting game between a pair of rookies trying to make their mark. QB Robert Griffin III knows that this is a chance to get his team back into it. The winning team will be just two games back of the idle New York Giants in the NFC East, while the loser’s season is certainly over with. The Skins are laying 3.5 at home, but they still only have one win dating back to Week 2 of last year here in Landover.

The other quarterback that is out for this week is QB Ben Roethlisberger, who has a shoulder issue. QB Byron Leftwich has already been announced as the starter for this week’s game for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the timing couldn’t possibly be any worse for this problem. Leftwich is going to be taking on the hated Baltimore Ravens at home, a game that absolutely has to be won, one would figure, if the black and gold are going to have a shot at winning the AFC North this year. Baltimore has to be licking its chops for sure, but this game isn’t just going to be a walk in the park regardless. When this line opened on Sunday, the Steelers were -3.5. Without Roethlisberger though, the oddsmakers have shifted the NFL point spreads by a whopping 6.5 points, taking the Ravens up to -3. This is the Sunday Night Football clash as well, so the national spotlight will be on both of these teams.

The other primetime game that we have yet to discuss is the Buffalo Bills against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. These two teams are both hoping to stick around in the AFC East chase this year, but both know that their playoff hopes are fleeing quickly. One will keep hope alive, while the other will be in a lot of trouble and inevitably on the wrong side of the playoff window for the rest of the year. The Bills are laying 1.5-points in a series in which the home teams have thoroughly dominated through the years.

It’s not like every quarterback is going to be out of the fold on Sunday, though. Two of the best are going to be meet in Motown on Sunday, where the Detroit Lions are going to be hosting the Green Bay Packers. QB Matthew Stafford and QB Aaron Rodgers are two of the best in the biz, and they are both going to be perennial 5,000-yard contenders if they can both stay healthy. Green Bay is really rolling, while the Lions are falling fast out of the NFC playoff picture. The Pack are favored by a field goal, but this is a dangerous game for sure for both sides.

QB Tom Brady has battled it out for years and years with QB Peyton Manning, and that’s what we have all become accustomed to seeing when the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots hook up. Brady is still here, but Manning is gone, and another generation of this rivalry has been spawned. This is the first time that QB Andrew Luck will get a shot at a really, really big fish in the AFC, and if he and his team are going to make the playoffs and be able to compete if they get there, this is a game in which the team should at least stay remotely competitive. The Pats are -9 this week at Gillette Stadium, but it is clear that Indy knows that it has to have this game to stay in the AFC South race.

As far as Manning is concerned, he is going to be back at home this week with his Denver Broncos against the San Diego Chargers. The Bolts were up 24-0 when these two teams met a month ago at Qualcomm Stadium, but they totally screwed the pooch and ended up losing 35-24 behind a great second half rally by Manning and his teammates. This game will probably be the ultimate decider as to which team is going to win the AFC West, especially if it is Denver that wins the game. The Chargers have lost four out of five, and they have no respect whatsoever from the oddsmakers, who have them at +7.5 on Sunday in this AFC West rivalry game.

Many of the other games on the slate are pitting teams against each other that are below .500. The New York Jets have never won a game at the Edward Jones Dome before, and they are hoping that that changes when they take on the St. Louis Rams, though the hosts are laying a field goal in this one. The New Orleans Saints are charging, and they can get back to .500 this week, as they are giving 4.5 on the road to the Oakland Raiders. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs, who now have officially led a game this year, are +3 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, who only just snapped their losing streak last week at home against the aforementioned Giants. The Dallas Cowboys are running out of time to save their season, but they can take a step closer if they can beat the Cleveland Browns as 7.5 point home favorites this weekend. In the NFC South, the Carolina Panthers are +1.5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are trying to keep their name in the running for the playoffs in the NFC.

The only other two games that we have yet to discuss are the two games this week with the biggest sets of NFL odds. The Atlanta Falcons were just dealt their first loss of the season at the hands of the Saints, but they get to come back home this week to take on the Arizona Cardinals, fresh off of their bye. The Cards already have one win this year as double digit road underdogs against the Patriots, but this is going to be a tough task for sure. They’re not quite double digit pups in this one, but at +9.5, that’s essentially close enough.

Finally in the Lone Star State, the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars will meet for the second time this year. This is a series that has been dominated by Houston over the years, and this is going to be no exception whatsoever in all likelihood. The Texans, fresh off of that huge win on Sunday Night Football in Chicago, are -15.5 and the biggest favorites of the entire campaign.

In regards to ‘totals’, there are three this week in the 50s. The Saints and Raiders have the highest number of the week to shoot at, at 54.5, while the Colts and Patriots aren’t far behind at 53.5. The Packers and Lions feature an over/under of 51.5. Just one ‘total’ is in the 30s, as the Jets and Rams aren’t expected to get into the 40s with a number set at 38.5.

Johnny Manziel Texas A&MThe weeks are counting down in the 2012 college football season, and the Week 11 odds are out and should be considered interesting, to say the least. There is a full slate of games starting on Tuesday all the way through Saturday night, and virtually every team in the nation is going to be on edge.

The games early in the week are all going to involve some fantastic teams that are all almost certainly headed to bowl games. The best of the bunch is the Florida State Seminoles, who are laying 14 on the road in a very treacherous trip to Blacksburg against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

On Tuesday and Wednesday though, the crowded MAC Championship race will be sorted out just a bit. The Toledo Rockets are laying a touchdown at home to the Ball State Cardinals, while the Ohio Bobcats are cautiously giving a field goal to the Bowling Green Falcons.

Friday’s clash pits the Connecticut Huskies against the Pitt Panthers, a game that sees UConn getting 3.5 in a game where one of these teams will almost surely be eliminated from bowl contention this year.

Saturday though, brings the real meat and potatoes of the schedule, where conference and division titles will be won and lost, and where the best teams in the nation are all facing some of their toughest tests of the year.

There are some tremendously crucial games in the SEC this week, and the one that all eyes are going to be on is the clash in Tuscaloosa between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas A&M Aggies. This is a potentially dangerous game for the Tide, who have played back to back amazing teams in the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the LSU Tigers, and now, they have to take on arguably the most dynamic and dangerous of the bunch. The oddsmakers are insinuating that QB Johnny Manziel is going to be able to put some points on the board against one of the best defenses in the nation. Johnny Football and the crew are getting 13.5 on the road, but if you take home field advantage out of the equation, the oddsmakers are making the assumption that this is the best chance that any team has had to beat the Crimson Tide this year.

Alabama already has the SEC West title locked up one way or the other, and it has its ticket just about punched to the SEC Championship Game. Meanwhile, the Georgia Bulldogs will be able to head to Atlanta for the second straight year if they can just beat the Auburn Tigers at Jordan Hare Stadium this weekend. Auburn has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season, and Head Coach Gene Chizik is likely on the way out because of it. Georgia is laying 15.5 on the road, but the Florida Gators are going to be watching intently. A UGA loss, and UF will be the team taking on the Tide for the SEC title and the automatic bid to the BCS.

Another team that is going to have it tough this week is the Kansas State Wildcats. The Cats are going to have to go on the road to take on the TCU Horned Frogs, who are still hoping to cling to slight BCS bowl hopes this year. It’s going to take pulling off the upset of the No. 2 team in the nation to keep those dreams alive. This game is currently off the board because QB Collin Klein’s injury status is still up in the air, but even if he is playing and totally healthy, we do expect to see TCU getting some major respect, probably getting just a handful of points or so.

Meanwhile, the rest of the top teams in the BCS really don’t have it all that tough this week. Both the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Oregon Ducks are going on the road this week, but neither is expected to be challenged. The Quack Attack is laying 28 to the Cal Golden Bears, while the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is giving 19 on the Week 11 odds to the Boston College Eagles in Chestnut Hill.

The SEC has one more crucial game this weekend, as the LSU Tigers and the Mississippi State Bulldogs battle it out in Baton Rouge. These two teams are both fighting it out for perhaps a spot in the BCS or a spot in the Cotton Bowl, and both teams know that winning out could get the job done, though neither are going to be in the SEC Championship Game this year. LSU is favored by 14 at home, and it is figuring to get back on track on Saturday night after losing to the Crimson Tide last week.

A bid to the Rose Bowl could be on the line for the Stanford Cardinal and the Oregon State Beavers. Neither of these teams figure to win the Pac-12 this year, but if the Ducks are on their way to the BCS National Championship Game, the Rose Bowl will still want a Pac-12 team to replace them. The loser of this game likely will be out of the discussion without upsetting the U of O down the line, but the winner will likely finish the year in the Top 15 of the BCS and be eligible for the Rose Bowl. Stanford is favored by 4.5 on “The Farm,” but this should be a remarkably close game.

The biggest favorite on the Week 11 college football betting odds is the BYU Cougars. The Cougs really don’t have anything to play for, knowing that they are going to the Poinsettia Bowl regardless of how the rest of the season plays out. The Idaho Vandals are their foes this week though, and there haven’t been many worse teams in America than this. That’s why BYU is laying a whopping 38 points. Honorable mention goes to the Clemson Tigers, who are favored by 31 points against the Maryland Terrapins, who are still trying to figure out how to play games with a linebacker playing at quarterback.

Friday night’s fight between Pittsburgh and Connecticut is one of the six games thus far on the Week 11 gambling lines that features a ‘total’ in the 40s, but there is none that is lower than this game. The Huskies have some major problems scoring, and that’s why this ‘total’ is just 43.5. There are a few games in the 70s this week on the over/under, but the highest of the bunch is the only one that could get into the 80s. The West Virginia Mountaineers are still scoring points in bunches, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys aren’t going to give up offensively either. The ‘total’ in this one is 79.5, and it might be a rising number as the week goes on, as many still remember that West Virginia/Baylor game that got into the 130s.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 11!

Carson Palmer vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings rank No. 30 against the pass and are No. 31 against fantasy quarterbacks. Throw out that first game that Palmer played against Kansas City in which he was picked off three times, and you’ve got a man with some darn good fantasy stats. He’s thrown for 299+ yards in back to back games and has five touchdowns to go with it. Sure, those nine turnovers in 2.5 games are an eyesore, but it’s nothing that a couple touchdowns won’t make you feel better about. If you’re in a bye week binge at QB, this is your perfect start to make even though the Raiders are going on the road.

Michael Bush vs. Minnesota Vikings
Same game. Same type of result. The Vikings are a heck of a lot better against the run than the pass, but the way that the Raiders have force fed Bush over the last two games has been remarkable. It’s hard to believe that Bush is a backup tailback. When he has the backfield to himself though, look out! He had over 230 total yards and a TD last week, and we can see a heck of a lot more of the same this week against Minnesota. There’s just no way that Bush doesn’t get his hands on the ball at least 25 times if Run DMC is kept out of the lineup once again, which is sounding like more and more of a possibility.

Marshawn Lynch vs. St. Louis Rams
This is the same St. Louis team that just let Chris Ogbonnaya run for a ton of yards against it last week… Most have probably forgotten about Lynch, and we can see why that was the case up until a few weeks ago. He only averaged 6.4 fantasy points per game (standard ESPN scoring) over his first seven games of the year, and he looked like he was being overtaken by RB Leon Washington and a host of others in the Seattle backfield. That being said, against the Cowboys and Ravens in the last two weeks, Lynch has 55 carries, 244 yards, and a TD in each game. Now, he’s got an easy two game stretch against the Rams and Redskins and really should be started even if he is on your bench.

Dexter McCluster vs. New England Patriots
In most leagues, McCluster will work as a receiver or as a running back, which makes him the perfect play this week if you are weak in either spot due to a big bye week. We know that he hasn’t found the end zone all year long, but what we also know is that there really is no choice but to get the ball in his hands a heck of a lot more often that has already been the case. QB Tyler Palko will be checking down all game in all likelihood, and against a relatively not-so-athletic defense like that of the Patriots, this could ultimately be a game in which McCluster ends up with 60 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards, and that elusive touchdown.

Complete List of Week 11 NFL Lines Can Be Found Below

Week 11 of the 2010 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 11 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 11 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend…

Heavy, heavy favorites are the theme in the Week 11 NFL lines, and making your NFL picks is going to be even more difficult for this slate of games; especially considering the fact that some of these teams are playoff contenders that are catching some of these humungous NFL spreads.

Case in point: One team is in first place in its division, ranks No. 2 in the NFL in rushing, averages 26.1 points per game, and ranks No. 6 in overall defense. The other is in second place in its division, ranks No. 22 in scoring in the league and No. 9 in overall defense. Can you tell me which team is favored by 7.5 points and who the two teams are? The former is the Oakland Raiders, who are in front of the AFC West for the first time in years this late in the season. The latter is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are coming off of an awful beating at the hands of the New England Patriots last week. Pittsburgh, which is hosting this game, is favored by a whopping 7.5 points.

Here’s another example: The Houston Texans have turned up on the wrong side of three games this year decided by six points or fewer that legitimately could have gone either way. The New York Jets have won three such games in the other direction, including back to back on the road in overtime in games that they probably had no business winning. Yet, when these two meet at New Meadowlands Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Houston is a seven point underdog.

Though sometimes, NFL betting lines are about perception, sometimes, that perception is absolutely a reality. The Carolina Panthers are absolutely that bad, and even though they are playing at home on Sunday, they are a 9.5 point underdog to the Baltimore Ravens, who have had a week and a half to prepare for this game. Carolina is absolutely overmatched and will likely come into this game with the mentality that it just wants to survive what the nasty Ravens are bringing. Baltimore has been known to trip in road games though, so this is by far not a sure thing.

Arguably two of the most interesting games this weekend involve four teams that didn’t make the playoffs last season in the NFC. The Atlanta Falcons might be the top team in the conference this year though, and they have to travel to the new upstarts of the league, the St. Louis Rams. Also at 4:05, the San Francisco 49ers, fresh off of their two game winning streak, will hope to continue to claw back into the race in the NFC West as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are one of the most pleasantly surprising teams in the NFL this year. Both the Falcons and Niners are three point chalks on the NFL odds.

The game of the weekend might be going on in Foxboro though, as the New England Patriots try to keep up with their best record in the NFL when they take on the Indianapolis Colts. Both of these teams have showed some holes this season, and they both have been weak at one time or another. Injuries have decimated both, but both are tied for the league in their respective divisions as well. This is the highest ‘total’ of the weekend at 51, and the Pats are three point home chalks in what should be a very, very entertaining game.

On Monday Night Football, the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos meet to try to get closer in the AFC West race. Off of their bye week, everyone is hopping on the San Diego bandwagon, as many think this is a repeat of last year when the Bolts just ran away and hid from the rest of the division. San Diego is favored by 9.5 points, making it the biggest home favorite and tied for the biggest overall favorite on the weekend.

There are only a few weeks left in the college football betting season, and this is going to be one of the more interesting and entertaining ones on the slate.

The three teams that everyone is going to be looking for this week are the Oregon Ducks, Auburn Tigers, and TCU Horned Frogs, as these three are the best contenders for the BCS Championship Game this year. The No. 1 team in the land, the Ducks, are hitting the road this weekend to take on the Cal Golden Bears. Auburn knows that the SEC West is there for the taking this week if it can just beat the Georgia Bulldogs at home at Jordan Hare Stadium. TCU has its hardest game left of the season, as it will welcome the San Diego State Aztecs to Fort Worth. All three teams are hefty favorites and are expected to get out of another week at No. 1, 2, and 3 in the BCS.

There are going to be a ton of division winners sorted out this week, starting right away on Tuesday with the duel between the Northern Illinois Huskies and the Toledo Rockets. The winner will most likely win the MAC West. With QB Austin Dantin on the sidelines and the Rockets hitting the road, they are in bad shape and are rightfully 10.5 point pups on Tuesday night.

On Thursday, the Pitt Panthers can move one step closer to the Big East crown, but they are going to be up against it with their visit to the UConn Huskies. These two teams typically play some hardnosed games, and this one should be no exception. Neither one of these squads is guaranteed a bowl game yet, but both are still absolutely in the conference championship race. UConn stands no chance if it loses this one though, and it is facing a five point NCAA football spread.

The Big East might not have a rep in the Top 25 of the BCS Rankings, but Conference USA does! The UCF Knights are in the Top 25 for the first time in school history, and they’ll take the field at Bright House Stadium against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles in a game that can move them within just one win of the C-USA title game for the second time ever. UCF is favored by ten points.

The Big Ten has three games this week that could help sort out this gigantic mess in the race for the Rose Bowl. The Wisconsin Badgers are hefty three TD favorites against the Indiana Hoosiers, but the Iowa Hawkeyes and Ohio State Buckeyes will have tougher tussles. They’ll play the Northwestern Wildcats and Penn State Nittany Lions respectively. Both are double digit favorites, but both are potentially in some trouble.

There are only two battles this week that feature a pair of Top 25 teams, and both are being contested at 7:15 ET. The Mississippi State Bulldogs can add to the misery of the Alabama Crimson Tide, who have probably been knocked out of the BCS picture already. The Tide are favored by 13.5 points on Saturday, but they could be up against it with a tough MSU team that has already beaten the Florida Gators on the road this year.

The other game is clearly the most important of the day. The SEC East has had twists and turns all over the place this year, but it all comes down to just the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Florida Gators. South Carolina, coming off of a bad loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks, is a 6.5 point pup on the road in the Swamp, which is where HC Steve Spurrier hasn’t won since he donned the blue and orange visor. With a spot in the SEC Championship Game on the line, this is going to be one that you certainly don’t want to miss.

The biggest favorite of the weekend is the Nebraska Cornhuskers, which are favored by 35.5 points over the Kansas Jayhawks, who just came back from down 28 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Colorado Buffaloes. Honorable mentions go to the Boise State Broncos and LSU Tigers, both of which are also favored over the Idaho Vandals and Louisiana Monroe Warhawks by 30+ points.
