Complete List of Updated 2013 Heisman Trophy Odds Is Located Below
The current list of week 9 Heisman odds from 5 Dimes Sportsbook can be found at the bottom of this post. We’re at the halfway point in the 2014 college football season, and we’ll take a look at some players that may present value and who could hoist the prestigious Heisman trophy in December.

Heisman Trophy Odds

Out of the two top favorites for the Heisman trophy, Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott (currently 2 to 1 odds at 5dimes) in my opinion has more value, and should be the front runner for the Heisman. Prescott’s resume thus far is much more impressive, his team plays the tougher schedule and they’re in the better conference, and his team is currently undefeated. Mississippi State’s remaining schedule is tough with games at Alabama and at Ole Miss, but should the Bulldogs run the table, Precott should hoist the trophy.

N0tre Dame’s Everett Golson (currently 18 to 1 odds at 5dimes) is a player that’s rather intriguing and showing some value. After sitting out last season due to suspension, Golson has led the Fighting Irish to a 6-1 record and is a controversial call away from a win at Florida State and being undefeated. Golson has completed almost 62% of his passes for 1996 yards with 19 touchdowns and has a quarterback rating of 143.4. Notre Dame has a tough remaining schedule, but if they should win out, Golson might be in the mix.

Two outstanding wide receivers are showing some value on the board. Alabama’s Amari Cooper (currently 20 to 1 odds at 5dimes) is currently refererred to as the best player in the country. Cooper is impressive and is a major problem for opposing defenses. In the nation’s best conference, Cooper’s stats are ridiculous with 908 yards and 7 touchdowns and averaging 14.8 yards per reception. If there is any reason why Alabama is the highest ranked 1 loss team, it’s because of Cooper. West virginia’s Kevin White (currently 25 to 1 odds at 5dimesis somewhat of a darkhorse, but if you’ve seen him play, you would know that he is a nightmare for teams. White has been a factor in West Virginia cracking the top 25 after a dismal 4-8 season last year. Like Cooper, White is also averaging 14.8 yards per reception, and has 1020 yards and 7 touchdowns. These two game-changing wide receivers will definitely be playing and contributing signicantly on Sundays.

Both Rakeem Cato of Marshall and Shane Carden (currently 50 to 1 odds at 5dimesare longshots due to the conferences their in, but both quarterbacks are lighting up the scoreboard. Carden has passed for 2129 yards with 16 touchdowns this season, while Cato has passed for 1912 yards and 19 touchdowns. Both of these quarterbacks are the lone reason why both of these small conference schools are in the top 25.
