Saturday, December 6th

Iowa State at #3 TCU (-34, 68) 12:00 PM ABC

The #3 ranked TCU Horned Frogs moved up significantly in the playoff rankings, and should they win in Ames on Saturday, and win impressively, they should be in the playoff. Baylor’s performance against Kansas State could also impact the outcome as well.

The Marshall Thundering Herd had their perfect season spoiled last Saturday losing to Western Kentucky in a 77-76 shootout. They’ll have to regain focus quickly as they have a Louisiana Tech team coming into Huntington that’s clicking on all cylinders.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Missouri Tigers meet in the Georgia Dome for the SEC conference title. The Tide are coming off a huge 55-44 come from behind win over Auburn. Missouri is coming off a 21-14 win over Arkansas, and are making their second straight SEC championship game appearance.

The #6 ranked Baylor Bears will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in their regular season finale. The Bears will be looking to make their case for a national championship playoff spot, while Kansas State will be looking to spoil Baylor’s chances at a share of the Big 12 championship.

The Clemson Tigers avoided a scare last Thursday night when they defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 34-20. They’ll take on the #24 ranked Georgia tech Yellow Jackets, who have been on a roll winning 3 straight games by an average of 28 points.

#1 Mississippi State at #5 Alabama (-8.5, 51.5) 3:30 PM CBS

The marquee game of week 12 will be the top ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs traveling to Tuscaloosa to take on the the #5 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, who got a big win at LSU in overtime 20-13. The Bulldogs had somewhat of a scrimmage last Saturday, downing Presbyterian 48-0.

#16 Nebraska at #20 Wisconsin (-6, 57) 3:30 PM ABC

In what could be one of the better games of week 12, the #16 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the #20 ranked Wisconsin Badgers. The game will feature the two top running backs in the country, Nebraska’s Amir Abdullah and Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon.

#17 Utah at Stanford (-7.5, 43.5) 6:00 PM Pac-12 Network

If you like hard-nosed, smash mouth football, you might want to tune in to the PAC-12 Network at 6 pm when two of the more physical teams in the PAC-12 take the field. The Utah Utes take on the Stanford Cardinal in a game that feature two teams that run the ball well and play good defense.

Jake Waters and the #14 Kansas State Wildcats travel to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. The last time these two teams met was last year, where Oklahoma won in Manhatten 41-31.

One of the best defenses in the country in Michigan State will travel to Bloomington to take on the high powered offense of Indiana. The meeting comes at a bad time for the Hoosiers, as quarterback Nate Sudfeld was lost for the season with a shoulder injury.

#20 Ohio State at Maryland 12:00 PM (EST) ABC

The Maryland Terrapins, a new comer to the Big Ten, will look to make it 3 straight wins when they host the #20 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Maryland got a nice road win in Indiana last Saturday, while the Buckeyes defeated Cincinnati 50-28.

#3 Alabama (-6) at #11 Ole Miss 3:30 PM (EST) CBS

The #11 Ole Miss Rebels will host the #3 Alabama Crimson Tide in a highly anticipated SEC contest.

It will most likely be the biggest game in recent history for #11 Mississippi when they host #3 ranked Alabama. Alabama handled the Rebels last season, winning 25-0 in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide were idle last weekend, while Ole Miss defeated Memphis 24-3.

Week 4 of the 2014 college football season is upon us. Here are some of the marquee matchups and the lines for the upcoming weekend of action, courtesy of JustBet. #5 Auburn (-9) at #20 Kansas State 7:30 PM ESPN

The #20 ranked Kansas State wildcats will need to be at the top of their game when they host the #5 ranked Auburn Tigers. Kansas State has had 2 weeks to prepare, and they’ll need it as Auburn is averaging 330 yards per game on the ground.

Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech  (-8) 12:00 PM ESPN

Virginia Tech was riding high after their upset win at Ohio State. They came back down to earth last weekend after a 28-21 upset loss to East Carolina. The Virginia Tech defense will now have to focus as they have the triple option attack of Georgia Tech to deal with.

Florida at #3 Alabama (-14) 3:30 PM CBS

The Florida Gators head to Tuscaloosa to take on the #3 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Florida escaped with a 36-30 win in triple overtime. The Crimson Tide has taken care of business since being tested by West Virginia in week 1, winning their last 2 games by a combined score of 93-10.

Virginia at #21 BYU (-15) 3:30 PM ESPN

The Virginia Cavaliers, fresh off their upset win of Louisville, will head to Provo, Utah to take on Taysom Hill and the #20 ranked BYU Cougars. This game will feature two of the better defensive units in the nation.

Jameis Winston passed for 444 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 51-14 win at Clemson last season

Mississippi State at #8 LSU 7:00 PM ESPN

The Mississippi State Bulldogs will have upset on their mind when they take on LSU from Baton Rouge, LA. LSU’s defense has not given up a score since their win against Wisconsin, and will look to replicate the 59-26 drubbing that they dealt the Bulldogs last year.

 

#4 Oklahoma (-7) at West Virginia 7:30 PM FOX

In what should be one of the better games of the weekend, the #4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners head to Morgantown to take on the improved West Virginia Mountaineers. It should be a stiff road test for the Sooners, as they will be in a hostile environment. Oklahoma won last year’s meeting 16-7, in Norman.

#22 Clemson at #1 Florida State  (-20) 8:00 PM ABC

Last year the Florida State Seminoles put the rest of college football on notice as they dominated Clemson on the Tigers’ home turf 51-14. The Tigers will need a better effort than what they showed in week 1, or it could result in the same outcome in Tallahassee.

Miami (FL) at #24 Nebraska (-7) 8:00 PM ESPN

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been somewhat inconsistent this season. They had an impressive 55-7 win in week 1, and then needed a miracle play in week 2 to defeat McNeese State. The Miami Hurricanes should provide a stiff test, as they’ve looked a lot better in the past two weeks compared to their road opener loss to Louisville.

Week 2 of the 2014 college football season is upon us. Here are some of the marquee matchups and the lines for the upcoming weekend of action, courtesy of JustBet Sportsbook. Thursday, September 4th

Arizona (-7) at TX-San Antonio 8:00 PM EST

The Texas-San Antonio Road Runners will look to build on their 27-7 win at Houston last weekend as they host the Arizona Wildcats. The Road Runners surprised many beating the Cougars as 10 point underdogs. Arizona took care of business last weekend, destroying UNLV 58-13.

Friday, September 5th

Pittsburgh (-4.5) at Boston College 7:00 pm EST

The Pitt Panthers and Boston College Eagles open up ACC Conferenceplay on Friday night. Both teams had easy wins in week 1. Boston College defeated UMass 30-7, while Pitt destroyed Delaware 62-0. This will mark the first time these schools have met in ACC play, and the first time they’ve faced each other since 2004, a 20-17 Pitt victory.

Saturday, September 6th

#4 Oklahoma (-24) at Tulsa 12:00 pm EST

The #4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane. The Sooners took care of business last week, as the defense put forth a dominating effort in a 48-16 win. Tulsa got some revenge against Tulane, winning 38-31 in double overtime in what was one of the more entertaining games of week 1.

Florida Atlantic at #2 Alabama (-41) 12:00PM EST 

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take on Florida Atlantic in their home opener.  Alabama had their hands full with West Virginia, winning 33-23. Florida Atlantic was not as successful last weekend, losing at Nebraska 55-7, where they only registered 13 first downs against the Cornhuskers.

#15 USC at #11 Stanford (-3.5) 3:30 PM EST

The #15 USC Trojans take on the #11 Stanford Cardinal in what will be a pivotal matchup in the PAC-12. Stanford has beaten USC in 5 of the last 7 meetings. With Steve Sarkisian at the helm for Stanford, it can only make this rivalry even better. Both teams won their week 1 games rather easily, with Stanford defeating UC-Davis 45-0, and USC defeating Fresno State 52-13. USC unveiled a new up-tempo offense last week, but Stanford’s defense has been known to deal with it quite well in the past. This should be a great matchup.

#8 Michigan State at #3 Oregon (-13) 7:30 PM EST

A fast paced up-tempo offense takes on one of the better defenses in the nation as the Oregon Ducks host the Michigan State Spartans in what will be the marquee game of the weekend. Oregon has had its share of difficulties against stellar defenses in prior seasons, and the defending Rose Bowl champions out of the Big Ten have just that. National championship implications will most definitely be at stake in this one.

Michigan (-17.5) vs #17 Notre Dame 7:30 pm EST

The Michigan Wolverines take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in one of the better rivalries in college football. The Wolverines have won 4 out of the last 5 matchups, and won last year’s matchup 41-30.  Michigan didn’t overlook Appalachian State last weekend, winning 52-14. Everett Golson made his return to last weekend, leading the Irish to a 48-17 victory over Rice.
