All Super Bowl Betting Lines Updated As Of 2/3/12
Best Arizona Cardinals 2013 Super Bowl Odds: 100 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Cards are going to come into this season with a lot of problems. They still don’t have a quarterback on their roster at this point going into the NFL Draft, and they are going to really be starting over this year. Then again, at least they have a new coaching staff led by Head Coach Bruce Arians, who helped construct one of the best turnarounds in NFL history this year with the Colts as an interim coach. Still, in the NFC West, where everyone is getting better, it’s tough to see how Arizona is going to compete.
Best Atlanta Falcons 2013 Superbowl Odds: 18 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – This might have been as good of a season as the Falcons could have ever had. QB Matt Ryan did win his first playoff game, but with TE Tony Gonzalez likely retiring and a running game that has become non-existent over the course of the last two years or so, there is a real question as to whether this is a team that can duplicate this past fantastic season once again.
Best Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl 48 Odds: 12 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – LB Ray Lewis is gone, and the Ravens aren’t going to be the same team without him. However, what they do have is the Lombardi Trophy after a remarkable run in the second season. Is this the best team in the NFL? Not nearly. But this is a team that has some grit and some moxie for sure. The Ravens have never missed the playoffs with Head Coach John Harbaugh as the leader of the team, and though the AFC North is improving, there’s no reason to think that Baltimore won’t get in again next year.
Best Buffalo Bills Superbowl 48 Odds: 100 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Bills were supposed to be competitors for the playoffs this year, but they ended up being one of the biggest embarrassments of the league. Is the end here for QB Ryan Fitzpatrick? If it isn’t, we’re really not sure that Buffalo has the goods to be able to get into the playoffs in the top heavy AFC East.
Best Carolina Panthers 2013 Super Bowl Lines: 50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – QB Cam Newton and the Panthers were disappointments in 2012, but they did play some big time football at times as well. The team has the ability to get to the playoffs in 2013, but it’s going to take getting some better play out of a defense that really is lacking a number of players all over the field.
Best Chicago Bears 2013 Superbowl Lines: 18 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Chicago had a great start and a terrible end to the season to miss out on the second season in inexplicable fashion. Head Coach Marc Trestman is going to have his work cut out for him to try to get QB Jay Cutler to the next level to make him a playoff winning quarterback. The defense is there, but the offense has to be a heck of a lot better. That’s Trestman’s specialty though, and he was probably the right man for the job.
Best Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl 48 Lines: 35 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Bengals are going to be a trendy team to pick this year in the AFC North. However, we need to see QB Andy Dalton and WR AJ Green take another big time step in the right direction this year for Cincinnati to be worthy of our Super Bowl bets.
Best Cleveland Browns Superbowl 48 Lines: 66 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Browns weren’t as bad as their record suggests this year, but they play in one of the toughest divisions in football. Cleveland has such a hungry fan base that would love to log a great playoff run at some point. It just doesn’t seem likely that this is the year for that to happen.
Best Dallas Cowboys 2013 Superbowl Odds: 25 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Head Coach Jason Garrett is going to start on one of the hottest seats in the NFL this year, as he absolutely has to get the Cowboys to the playoffs, or he’ll likely lose his job. The window of opportunity is starting to close on QB Tony Romo, too. This is the most important season for Dallas in quite some time.
Best Denver Broncos Super Bowl 48 Odds: 7 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Broncos are the favorites to win it all this year, and for good reason. It’s tough to think that anyone is going to slow this team down this coming year, knowing that Denver won the final 11 games of the regular season. Remember that without a 70-yard Hail Mary, the Broncos would have hosted the AFC Championship Game and would have been almost odds on favorites to win it all.
Best Detroit Lions Superbowl 48 Odds: 35 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – WR Calvin Johnson had a record setting season in 2012, but that clearly wasn’t good enough to get the job done for the Lions. Now, we’re wondering whether Detroit’s playoff season from two years ago was a farce or not. We’ll see whether this team is competitive this year or not.
Best Green Bay Packers 2013 Super Bowl Lines: 10 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – QB Aaron Rodgers had a great season, but a loss in Week 17 to the Vikings probably doomed the season of his Packers. If LB Clay Matthews and the gang had stayed healthy and aggressive over the course of the whole season, the campaign might have turned out differently. But this is now two straight years in the Divisional Round of the playoffs without a win for the Pack, and that has to change this season.
Best Houston Texans 2013 Superbowl Lines: 14 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Houston was one of the top contenders for the whole year to win it all, but it fell apart down the stretch. Now that the Colts are contenders again in the AFC South, this team could be in some trouble when push comes to shove. Still, Head Coach Gary Kubiak has one of the most talented teams in the NFL.
Best Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl 48 Lines: 40 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – QB Andrew Luck is the real deal, and he is going to have a full offseason to prepare for what should be another remarkable campaign. The Colts still need some more defensive players, but the team will build around Luck for the next decade or more and once again be a contender.
Best Jacksonville Jaguars Superbowl 48 Lines: 150 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – This is a new team for the Jags to try to rally around, but it’s still an awful team. There is no hope this upcoming season for Jacksonville.
Best Kansas City Chiefs 2013 Super Bowl Odds: 50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Head Coach Andy Reid has a new job now in Kansas City, and he is going to try to make something out of a team that just got no quarterback play this past year. A hopefully healthier KC outfit with a new quarterback though, could excel under Reid’s watch.
Best Miami Dolphins Super Bowl 48 Odds: 50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Head Coach Joe Philbin did a nice job with the Dolphins in his first year, and QB Ryan Tannehill, though not sparkling, proved that he indeed could play in this league. A defense that was up and down all year is going to be the key to a successful campaign in 2013.
Best Minnesota Vikings Superbowl 48 Odds: 35 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – RB Adrian Peterson had the second most rushing yards in a single season in league history, but the Vikings really never had a chance in the playoffs. The team is going to have a lot of decisions to make in the offseason, namely whether QB Christian Ponder is really the man that can lead this team in the future.
Best New England Patriots 2013 Super Bowl Lines: 7.50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Pats are the third choice on the board to win it all this year, and they have a great case to be the favorites by the time the year gets started. They’re the best team in one of the worst divisions in the game, and they still have QB Tom Brady on their side. As long as that stays the case, this is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
Best New Orleans Saints 2013 Superbowl Lines: 18 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Head Coach Sean Payton is back on the job with the Saints, and he has the richest contract for a coach in NFL history as well. The Bountygate scandal is beyond us, and the city of New Orleans is resting after the Super Bowl. Now it’s all business for the Saints, who are sure to be a heck of a lot better this coming season than they were in 2012. Remember that after the 0-4 start to the season, New Orleans was good enough to be a playoff team.
Best New York Giants Super Bowl 48 Lines: 20 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – New York is a bit of an enigma, but the team keeps finding ways to sneak into the playoffs and win when it gets there. QB Eli Manning had a suspect season this past year, but he has the pedigree of a two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback that can never be counted out.
Best New York Jets Superbowl 48 Lines: 40 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The QB Tim Tebow experiment failed, and as a result, GM Mike Tannenbaum is out. Head Coach Rex Ryan kept his job, and we’re not really all that sure why. This is a hamstrung team with the salary cap, and QB Mark Sanchez is probably stuck as the team’s starter for the upcoming season. This is the last team that we would want to back on the Super Bowl odds right now.
Best Oakland Raiders 2013 Superbowl Odds: 100 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Raider Nation is still definitely saddened at this point, and the team just doesn’t have the look of a champion by any stretch of the imagination. It’s going to take a lot more than a few players to get this team back to a winning level, especially with the Broncos dominating the AFC West at this point.
Best Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 48 Odds: 33 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Eagles are a team to watch this year for sure. They were snake bitten with injuries all year long, and now that Andy Reid is out, the culture is likely to change in the City of Brotherly Love. The talent is there, and QB Michael Vick might have another shot to resurrect his career once again.
Best Pittsburgh Steelers 2013 Super Bowl Odds: 18 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Is the window of opportunity closing on the Steelers? QB Ben Roethlisberger is still obviously young enough to do some damage, but the defense is aging and really didn’t look good for most of the year. And, when Big Ben was out, this offense was exposed as a fraud. It had to hurt the Steel City to see the Ravens lift the Lombardi Trophy this year, but it’s tough to see how the Steelers are going to do it in 2014 in the Meadowlands.
Best San Diego Chargers 2013 Superbowl Odds: 33 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – After years and years, Norv Turner is out for the Bolts, but is that the end of the change? QB Philip Rivers could be going elsewhere, and if he does, that could be the start of a huge rebuilding project in San Diego.
Best San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl 48 Odds: 7 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Give the 49ers credit for the way that they fought in the Super Bowl, but they probably were never the better team from start to finish in the game against the Ravens. Now, it’s back to the drawing board for Head Coach Jim Harbaugh and the gang, but at least it comes without any further quarterback controversy. QB Colin Kaepernick is clearly the man that is going to be leading this team into the future.
Best Seattle Seahawks Superbowl 48 Odds: 16 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The Seahawks really came out of nowhere halfway through the season to storm into the playoffs. They’ve got an elite level defense now thanks to Head Coach Pete Carroll, and QB Russell Wilson proved that he can play in spite of the fact that seemingly a zillion quarterbacks were drafted before him this past year in the NFL Draft. With a big time wide receiver and perhaps another linebacker, Seattle could be every bit as good as San Fran was this past season.
Best St. Louis Rams 2013 Super Bowl Lines: 50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – The good news for the Rams is that we think that this is one of the best 10 teams in football. The bad news though, is that they play in the NFC West, where the 49ers and the Seahawks are clearly better than they are. It’s fun watching this team rebuild though, as St. Louis is going in the right direction under Head Coach Jeff Fisher’s direction.
Best Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2013 Superbowl Lines: 50 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Head Coach Greg Schiano isn’t one of the most liked coaches in the NFL by any stretch of the imagination, but he did a really nice job with the Bucs this year to make them relevant. There are still some hurdles to be cleared, and QB Josh Freeman has to become a more consistent player, but the playoffs aren’t out of reach in 2013 in Tampa Bay.
Best Tennessee Titans Super Bowl 48 Lines: 100 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Unless QB Jake Locker really takes a massive step in the right direction this coming season, the Titans are going to be in a ton of trouble. Anyone else looking forward to seeing when those two games against the Jaguars are on the 2013 NFL schedule? We surely aren’t.
Best Washington Redskins Superbowl 48 Lines: 30 to 1 at WagerWeb Sportsbook – Washington will open up the year next year as one of the favorites to win the NFC East, but that’s only if QB Robert Griffin III is able to get back on the field. He was a mess in the playoffs and was knocked out of the game with a knee injury that is requiring offseason surgery, which is certainly going to be one of the storylines to watch as we go into the Spring of 2013.
