BetOnline was recently tied to a news report involving an illegal (credit-based) online bookmaking operation that was busted by the United States federal government. The latest information regarding this rumor and scandal is that BetOnline has nothing to do with this operation and they are processing deposits and withdrawals as well as taking action as usual. -8/19/2009: (Positive) BetOnline has recently updated their online betting software. Their new and improved software provides increased security and a more stable user-interface. This new software will provide more up-to-the-minute odds and line movements and will show a considerable improvement in loading time and efficiency. This is some of the highest quality software that we have seen in the online sports betting industry. We have updated our software rating of BetOnline sportsbook to an A+. No overall rating change is warranted.
-5/21/2009: (Negative) We have updated our rating of BetOnline sportsbook and they have dropped from an overall A- to a B+. We dropped their deposit options rating from a A- to a B- which caused the overall drop. This rating drop is not due to any serious flaw of the book or it's operations and still should be considered a trustworthy book. Our people at Bankroll Sports have been investigating the latest at this book and the word is that players have a harder time depositing to this book then some of our others. Payout and deposit options seem to be rather limited. We have contacted them asking for a response and they claim they are working on more banking options.
