If you’re a fan of big time divisional rivalry football, this is the week of NFL betting action for you!

We’ll start right at the top with the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders. The Bolts are the type of team that will blow at least one of these games with the Raiders, and this might be the big time gaffe that the team pulls to cost it its season. Oakland lost last week inexplicably against the Denver Broncos, and few are giving it much of a chance to snap its two game losing streak. At least a tie for first place in the division is guaranteed in this one. The week 10 NFL lines have San Diego favored by a touchdown in the first Thursday Night Football game of the year.

From there, we’ll head to the AFC North, where the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to try to lick their wounds from last week’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The winner of this one will move into second place in the division, while the loser will drop to third and likely into a tie for the final Wild Card slot in the conference. It’s amazing to think that Pittsburgh could legitimate drop from the best record in the AFC to right on the cusp of the postseason, but it’s quite possible. The Bengals are only 3.5 point home underdogs at Paul Brown Stadium.

First place in the NFC South is on the line on Sunday afternoon in Hot ‘Lanta as well. The Atlanta Falcons are getting absolutely no respect in this one, as they are narrow one point home underdogs against the New Orleans Saints. Sure, the Saints are rolling right now, but Atlanta has won three in a row and finally looks like the team that won the NFC South last year and was the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

Meanwhile in the other NFC South game of note, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play host to the AFC South leading Houston Texans. Houston has finally opened up a game and a half lead in the division, one that it doesn’t figure to choke away before the end of the season, while the Bucs are just trying to hang in there in the Wild Card race in the NFC since winning the NFC South seems to be a bit far out of reach at the moment. Speaking of no respect for the hosts, the Bucs are catching 3.5 from the oddsmakers in spite of the fact that the Texans are still dealing with a boatload of injuries.

From there, we’ll go to the NFC North, where all four teams are playing divisional games. On Monday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers look to continue their perfect season against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes were stingy in their first meeting just a few weeks ago, but QB Christian Ponder now has a two more starts (and two wins!) under his belt. Still, the oddsmakers aren’t thinking that this is going to be even a remotely close contest. Green Bay is the only double digit favorite of the week at -13.5, and the game has the highest ‘total’ at 51.

On Sunday afternoon on week 10, the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears probably play in their most important game since the AFL/NFL merger. These two would both be in the playoffs if they started today, and it is clear if the Bears want to move onto totally solid ground for the postseason, this is a game that they need to win. Detroit won the first go around of these two teams in primetime, and if it can go into the Windy City and pull out a win, it’ll be hard to see how it won’t be a playoff team. The Bears are the short field goal favorites in this one though, and we expect to see a tremendously close game through and through.

In perhaps the most interesting game this week and perhaps the most curious line of all the week 10 NFL lines, puts the New York Giants against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s somewhat odd to think that these two teams are both in front of their divisions heading into week ten, and it’s even odder to think that they are both leading their divisions by multiple games. Especially if the Saints end up losing to the Falcons earlier in the day, the winner of this game is going to have a tremendous leg up on a first round bye in the playoffs. That especially goes for San Fran, which would be 8-1 with the tiebreaker over the Bucs and the Giants with a slew of lousy divisional games to play. Everyone is waiting for the G-Men to fold, but they were able to win last week in Foxboro, ending a streak of over four years since QB Tom Brady had been beaten at home. The 49ers are 3.5 point favorites and have been great against the spread this year.

We might as well mention week ten’s most crucial NFL games in the “Suck for Luck” Sweepstakes. The Indianapolis Colts are three point underdogs in their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which might be the last legitimate chance that the hosts have of winning a game. The Miami Dolphins are 3.5 point home favorites to extend their winning streak to a whopping two games when the Washington Redskins come to town. And lastly, the St. Louis Rams are 2.5 point underdogs in the Dawg Pound against the Cleveland Browns.

But back to games that really matter… The Buffalo Bills are expecting to fold down the stretch, as they were beaten at home last week by the New York Jets and still have a brutally tough schedule left to play. The first game of the bunch comes at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, a game that the hosts really can’t afford to lose with the Giants and Bears suddenly playing so well. Dallas can move above the .500 mark with a ‘W’, while the Bills are just trying to stay in the race in the three way tie of the AFC East. It should be no surprise that Buffalo is a six point underdog.

And finally, on Sunday Night Football, Head Coach Rex Ryan takes aim at the New England Patriots. Ryan’s Jets are trying to send the Patriots to their third straight loss and their fourth game with offensive struggles. There is no doubt that the athleticism is there to pull it off, especially if the team plays as well as it did against the Bills last week in Orchard Park. That being said, the Brady Bunch has to be tired of losing, and if it drops this one, it realizes that it will be out of the playoff picture for the time being. However, the hosts are the slender one point favorites on the Week 10 betting lines.

Week 10 of the 2011 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2011 Week 10 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 10 college football lines. Be sure to check out the free NCAA football picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend!

After weeks and weeks of drama building up to this game, the time is finally here. The Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers are going to be squaring off at Bryant Denny Stadium on Saturday night in primetime, and it is already being tabbed as the “Game of the Century.” The winner of this game clearly has the inside track to the National Championship Game and probably will not derailed. The question is whether the loser is still going to be in it or not. These two teams play a lot better offense than you would think, and their defenses are out of this world. On top of that, remember that there is a revenge factor involved after the Tide were knocked out of the title picture in the Bayou by the Tigers last year. At home, Alabama is favored by 4.5 points.

Contrary to popular belief though, there are other games on the schedule of note this week! Heck, the Alabama/LSU game isn’t the only Top 10 battle in the SEC. The Arkansas Razorbacks have a tremendous test in front of them, but the good news is that they are going to take on that test at home. The South Carolina Gamecocks are still more or less cutting and pasting a team together offensively, but they are still just a one loss team for the time being. That being said, the oddsmakers just have no confidence that this is going to continue. The Cocks are 4.5 point underdogs.

At the same time as the big duel between Alabama and LSU, the Kansas State Wildcats and Oklahoma State Cowboys will duke it out. KSU was exposed last week in a romp of a loss at home against the Oklahoma Sooners, and the oddsmakers have remembered that. The Pokes have the ability to score and score in tremendous bunches, and they just don’t seem like they are going to be stopped on the mass majority of their drives until they reach the end zone. It really should come as no surprise that the hosts are favored by three touchdowns, and that spread really could rise throughout the week in spite of the fact that the Wildcats are still a Top 15 team in the nation.

The team with the most to lose this week is the Michigan Wolverines. Big Blue has to go on the road to the Iowa Hawkeyes, another team that has hopes of winning the Big Ten this year. Not only will the Wolverines end up being out of the Big Ten title picture with a loss, but their BCS dreams will be smashed as well. Head Coach Kirk Ferentz always puts on a good show with his Hawkeyes, but the oddsmakers are still giving the slight nod to Michigan. The Wolverines are 4.5 point road favorites.

Elsewhere in the Top 25, we have a ton of teams that are favored by a slew of points. The Georgia Bulldogs are the biggest of the bunch, as they are favored by 34.5 over the lowly New Mexico State Aggies. However, they aren’t the only team that is favored by more than three TDs this week.

The Michigan State Spartans, Wisconsin Badgers, and Ohio State Buckeyes are all at home against lesser foes this week, and they’re all favored by four scores, while the Nebraska Cornhuskers are laying 17.5 at home against the Northwestern Wildcats. The Houston Cougars look to continue their perfect season by laying 27.5 at the UAB Blazers, while the Boise State Broncos are the biggest favorites of the week. They’re getting the nod by a whopping 42 on the road at the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. Also notable in the Mountain West is the fact that the New Mexico Lobos are 36.5 point underdogs on the road at the San Diego State Aztecs.

The Pac-12 could have an interesting week ahead as well, as all of the big teams are on the road and are heavy favorites. The USC Trojans are playing on Friday night as three touchdown favorites over the Colorado Buffaloes. On Saturday, the Oregon Ducks are 14.5 point favorites over the Washington Huskies, while the Stanford Cardinal are giving 21 to the Oregon State Beavers. In the most interesting battle though, the UCLA Bruins will look to pull off the upset of the Arizona State Sun Devils. If they don’t as 10 point underdogs, ASU will basically have its trip to the first Pac-12 Championship Game clinched.

The MAC is going to be on display during the midweek games this week, which could make things very interesting considering how tightly knit this conference is. The Northern Illinois Huskies and Toledo Rockets kick things off on Tuesday in a MAC West showdown. The Rockets are favored by 7.5 points to take a commanding lead in this division, but the Huskies are never a team that backs down from a challenge.

On Wednesday, we’ll flip to the East, where the Temple Owls and Ohio Bobcats are going to be squaring off for first place in that division. It seems to be a foregone conclusion that the Miami Redhawks are going to trump the Akron Zips as 15 point favorites on Thursday night, so the loser of this Temple/Ohio game is in a ton of trouble. The Owls have one of the most ferocious defenses in the country, and they’ll try to prove it again versus the team that cost them the MAC East title last year. Ohio is a dog in this one by four points, though.

Friday night features an undercard MAC game of sorts, as the Central Michigan Chippewas are laying a point against the Kent State Golden Flashes in a duel of two bottom feeders in this conference.

There are two big games on Thursday for bowl seeding. In Beantown, the Boston College Eagles will look for a third win in the last four seasons against the Florida State Seminoles. It’s not likely to happen though, as the garnet and gold have won three straight games by at least 25 points, and they’re laying 16 in this one. Then back in the Sunshine State, the UCF Knights and Tulsa Golden Hurricane will play a de facto elimination game from the Conference USA title race. These two have played in the C-USA title game before, and they’ll renew ties at Bright House Networks Stadium on Thursday. The hosts are getting the slight nod as 1.5 point favorites.

Week 10 of the 2010 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 10 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 10 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend…

Divisional battles and big time rivalries should spark some fantastic games in Week 10 of the NFL campaign, and we have our pro football picks ready and raring to go for all of the action!

Where else could we start than on Thursday night, where the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons will meet in the Georgia Dome for the first midweek game of the fall in the NFL. These two teams are tied with the best record in football at 6-2, and they are both on the verge of losing their respective grips on the strongholds in their divisions. Atlanta knows that this is a huge game, as it would mark a third victory already on the season against the AFC North, but Baltimore seems to be back on track after straying just a bit in recent weeks. The hosts are ever so slender one point chalks on the day.

Meanwhile, the AFC West lead could change hands if the implication of the oddsmakers is right at Mile High Stadium on Sunday. The Denver Broncos are fresh off of their bye week, and they are coming back home after losing over in Jolly Ol’ England to face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs showed some chinks in the armor last week against the Oakland Raiders, losing in overtime, and they know that a loss will take them out of first place in the division. KC has won games like this before, but this is going to be a tough one with the season most likely on the line for Denver. The Broncos and Chiefs are lined at a pick ‘em.

Meanwhile in the NFC West, there is very likely going to be not a single team over .500 by the time this week is said and done. The St. Louis Rams are 4-4 right now, but they are 5.5 point underdogs at the San Francisco 49ers, while the Seattle Seahawks are going to be playing the Arizona Cardinals in the other divisional tussle.

The game with the highest ‘total’ of the NFL week 10 lines, once again, features the Houston Texans and their league worst secondary. Houston is coming off of a crippling loss to the San Diego Chargers at home, and if it had won that game, it would be tied for first place in the AFC South. Instead, it is tied for last, and the loser of this week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars will be in last place in the division, while the winner will stay on the pace. The Jags are slight one point favorites off of their bye. The ‘total’ is set at 50, and if it were to go off the board at least at a half century, it would be just the second game this year with that many points posted on the ‘total’ by the oddsmakers.

Will he be the head coach, or won’t he be the head coach? That’s the question that is floating around in Valley Ranch, TX right now, as the Dallas Cowboys continue to try to pick up the pieces of a broken season that only seems to get worse and worse with each passing game. Dallas was knocked off last night on Sunday Night Football in embarrassing fashion by the Green Bay Packers, and for the first time all season, it finds itself as a double digit underdog. The ‘Boys are 14 point pups to the streaking New York Giants, who have won five in a row, including thumping Dallas in “Big D” just a few weeks ago.

The other two combatants in the NFC East will square off in our nation’s capitol in a great duel between the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles. We think that this will be the first time that QB Donovan McNabb plays host to his old team after he beat the Eagles down in the City of Brotherly Love a few weeks ago. However, it was only two weeks ago that he was yanked by HC Mike Shanahan for a two minute drill, and now many are speculating whether it will be McNabb, or backup QB Rex Grossman that ultimately gets the call when Monday Night Football rolls around this weekend.

Week 10 of the 2010 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 10 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 10 college football lines. Be sure to check out the free NCAA football picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend!

Top 25 battles are all over the NCAA football betting slate this weekend, and these are games that you certainly don’t want to miss out on!

We’ll start in the Big XII South, where the Baylor Bears and Oklahoma State Cowboys are sure to put on a real offensive showcase in Stillwater. Baylor finds itself firmly entrenched in the Top 25 and is just a few wins away from surprisingly winning the Big XII South! This is a long, uphill road to climb though, as wins against the Pokes this week and the Oklahoma Sooners down the road are going to be tremendously difficult tasks. The oddsmakers didn’t believe in Baylor last week at the Texas Longhorns, making them 7.5 point underdogs at the outset of the week, and that’s the exact same line it is facing this weekend against the Cowboys.

The Pac-10 will have a de facto Rose Bowl elimination game on Saturday night, as the Arizona Wildcats travel to the Stanford Cardinal. These teams both have to feel that they at least have an outside chance of winning the BCS Championship as well, as they are ranked No. 12 and No. 13 in the nation, and the winner will be in the Top 10 in the land for sure when the week is said and done. QB Nick Foles sat out his second straight game last week in a 29-21 win over the UCLA Bruins, but the oddsmakers have already made a firm stance against the Cats in this one seemingly regardless of who is calling the shots. Stanford is a comfortable 9.5 point home favorite.

The SEC actually has a pair of Top 25 tussles this weekend. The South Carolina Gamecocks know that this isn’t an absolute must win game, especially knowing that their duel with the Florida Gators is on tap next week in the Swamp, but beating the Arkansas Razorbacks would go a long way in helping keep this team in the Top 25 and working towards a great bowl game this year if the BCS slot is not procured. The Hogs are going to be hurting on offense with the loss of WR Greg Childs to a season ending injury, but the NCAA football lines still suggest that they have a great shot in this one. Arkansas is only a 3.5 point underdog in Columbia.

The main course for the evening in the SEC though, will be down in the Bayou, where the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers will meet in a game that will eliminate one from the SEC West and National Championship race once and for all in all likelihood. Alabama knows that it controls its own destiny for a chance in the BCS title game, as it will certainly have the computer resume to move into the Top 2, especially after wins like this one, but the Bayou Bengals might surprisingly be in the same sort of spot. When the lights go out in Baton Rouge, things get very scary for the visitors. Halloween might have been last weekend, but you can bet, especially off of a bye week, that HC Les Miles is getting all of his tricks prepared to treat the hometown crowd to a potential upset of the defending National Champions. This game might be at night, but the hosts are still 6.5 point underdogs.

The one duel that we have yet to mention is the big time mid major clash between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Utah Utes. This is actually the first time this year that two teams from the BCS have met, and it marks the first time that two mid-majors both ranked in the Top 5 will meet in the regular season since the BCS was formed. Utah has this game at home, but certainly doesn’t have history on its side. TCU knows that a win is the only route to the BCS Championship, but even that isn’t a guarantee, especially with a number of one loss teams trying to catch up from behind. The Utes are in this race as well, and they’ll want to make their huge statement to try to move up into the coveted Top 2 spots in the country. Either way, both of these teams have their eyes set on a big time bowl to try to boost their respective programs, but in all likelihood, only one will end up making it to a BCS bowl game. The loser is going to be very, very disappointed when this one is over on Saturday.

There are only four teams that are favored by at least 20 points this weekend, but none are anywhere near the -34.5 the Oregon Ducks are against the Washington Huskies. The Huskies are in a ton of trouble without QB Jake Locker in the lineup, especially going into Eugene, where teams just seemingly go to get destroyed nowadays. The U of O is inevitably out to make another huge statement, especially after taking over the top spot in the BCS rankings this week.

If you happened to place a few wagers on NFL Football last week, then hopefully your action sided with the underdogs. Week 10 was perhaps the biggest week for the underdogs this season as they were 10-3 ATS this week. It was perhaps one of the biggest lop sided weeks for the favorites vs. underdogs just proving that betting on favorites is not always best. The home teams also battled back in a big way this week against the books. Home teams were 9-4 ATS against the road teams. The home teams had big expectations entering week 9 as 10 of 13 teams were favored from teams at home. Those teams performed fairly well going 8-4 straight up, but as stated before the underdogs covered the points in most of those events. The under totals had the slight edge yet again this week going 7-6 for the second straight week. We mentioned last week the under totals were something to keep an eye on as the season progresses and that will be another interesting factor to keep on your radar for week 10. Looking at the week 10 NFL lines, there are some more interesting trends of the betting lines that can not go unnoticed. One common theme we have noticed in the week 10 NFL lines is the large number of home favorites, where home teams are favored in 10 of the listed 15 games. The home teams were heavy favorites last week despite getting dominated against the spread, but the bookies show liking to the home teams again. One thing that is expected is close games in week 10. There are 6 different match-ups with lines holding at a field goal or less. Also scoring is expected to be down this week as there is not one single game over the 50 point total as the over/under totals have steadily decreased in past weeks as a whole. Possibly the most interesting game of the week is the undefeated Indianapolis Colts who will host the New England Patriots for AFC supremacy on Sunday night. The Colts are 3 point favorites against their bitter rivals and that will be a game that deserves attention for sure as both appear to have Super Bowl potential. For the rest of the games, be sure to check out week 10 NFL spreads from BetUS Sportsbook below.
