As of Sunday night, there are only seven games that are on the board for the NFL Week 8 betting lines. We will update this page again on Tuesday night with a full set of odds posted, so please check back.

There are a number of games of note that are currently off the board which you should check back for the proper lines later in the week.

The Detroit Lions have now lost two games in a row, and they are all of a sudden in a lot of trouble in the NFC North. We now know that they are probably only competing for a Wild Card spot, of which there is plenty of competition. Now, they have to travel to the Rockies for the first home game for QB Tim Tebow this year as a starter. Tebow won his first game last week against the Miami Dolphins, but he didn’t put a point on the board for the first 55 minutes of the game against one of the worst defenses that the league has to offer.

The team that handed Detroit its first loss was the San Francisco 49ers, who are coming off of their bye week last week. They have a tough game this week against the Cleveland Browns at home, but there really shouldn’t be a problem moving to 6-1. If this game is won, the truth of the matter is that the 49ers should be counting down their magic number for the playoffs.

Bet Online 468 2011 NFL Week 8 Lines Week Eight Lines Breakdown

Rookie quarterbacks are going to be squaring off this week on Tobacco Road. QB Cam Newton for the Carolina Panthers will take on QB Christian Ponder for the Minnesota Vikings. The Minnesota offense looked good under Ponder’s direction last week, which was a great step in the right direction for a team that really isn’t going anywhere any time in the near future. Carolina is getting the nod by 3.5 points at home, and ironically, this is one of the highest ‘totals’ on the board thus far this week at 47.

Meanwhile, teams that are starting to fall a bit are going to try to salvage their season in Toronto when the Buffalo Bills face the Washington Redskins. The Skins are in quarterback crisis right now, as neither QB John Beck nor QB Rex Grossman really has the ability to do the job. Buffalo is 4-2 and is coming off of its bye week, and it is going to be motivated for this game. The “hosts” are 4.5 point favorites against the struggling Skins.

Also in the 4:00 ET games, the Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the New England Patriots in a duel between two of the perennial powers in the AFC. The Steelers have seemed to find their winning mojo, but they still don’t feel like they are convincing quite yet. New England has done very little wrong this year, and it hasn’t been beaten since right at the beginning of the season by the Bills on the road. This is a tougher road test at Heinz Field, but the hosts are still 2.5 point underdogs.

The primetime games this week are as good as they have been all season long. On Sunday Night Football, NFC East rivals and arch enemies meet in the City of Brotherly Love. The Philadelphia Eagles are 3.5 point favorites over the Dallas Cowboys, but you can bet that the boys from Big D are going to be topics of some hot action for NFL bettors as well. QB Tony Romo and QB Michael Vick are two of the most electric, yet controversial quarterbacks in the league. Neither of these teams are on good footing right now in the postseason picture, and the loser is going to be in a ton of trouble.

On Monday Night Football, the AFC West lead will be handed out. The San Diego Chargers were made to look a bit more mortal in Week 7 against the New York Jets, losing on the road for the second time this year. They’re still a half game up on the Oakland Raiders in the division, but all of a sudden, after three losses to start off the year, the Kansas City Chiefs have won three in a row and are just a game back in the division race. Arrowhead Stadium will be rocking and rolling this week, especially after the Bolts fired the first salvo in this series earlier this year. The hosts are four point underdogs.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 8!

Seattle Seahawks Defense/Special Teams vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Are we out of our minds playing with the Seahawks defense? This team has accounted for negative points twice already this year and just one point in most standard leagues once as well. That’s half of its games! However, we have a lot of reasons to hate the Bengals this week and love the Seahawks. This is going to be the first mega difficult road trip for QB Andy Dalton. No matter how bad Seattle is, Qwest Field is always a horror to try to play at. On top of that, RB Cedric Benson has been suspended for this game, and the weather is expected to be horrible. Last week, the Seahawks didn’t do all that much right against the Cleveland Browns, but if the clock just runs as quickly in this game as it did in that one, we should be getting a nice sum of points from this defense for a second straight week.

Mario Manningham vs. Miami Dolphins
Most of you that drafted Manningham did so way, way too early in your drafts. He was expected to be a bit of a sleeper this year, but so far, he really has done nothing to even warrant being on a fantasy team, let alone being a starter. He only has 18 catches for the season and hasn’t had more than 56 yards in a game, nor has he scored a touchdown yet. However, this is the perfect game for him to shine. Remember that Manningham has picked up more targets in these last two games (16 in total) than he had for the rest of the season combined. He’s going against a Miami defense which ranks No. 18 in the league against opposing wide receivers. You know that the Giants’ offense is going to be on the field quite a bit, as the offense for the Dolphins just can’t stay out of its own way. We think that this is the week for Manningham to be a big time boom.

Tim Tebow vs. Detroit Lions
Last week, we called for Tebow to have a great game against the Dolphins. In fact, he had a terrible game… and a fantastic three minutes in which he accounted for nearly 20 total fantasy points and 15 points in real life. The man is going to run the ball, he is going to throw the ball, and he is going to put points on the board in some respect against a Detroit team that, quite frankly, has been very questionable these past two weeks. You just know that somehow, Tebow is going to keep this game close no matter how ugly of a ball that he throws, and in the end, that will probably translate into at least 15-20 fantasy points, making the former Heisman Trophy winner a solid start.

Owen Daniels vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Let’s get this part straight. If you have Owen Daniels, you’re starting him each and every week, unless you’re one of these wackos that is carrying two tight ends on your team and the other one happens to be named Antonio Gates or Jason Witten. However, just as we said last week with Ed Dickson, playing against the Jags with your tight end is a gold mine. The team’s Cover 2 scheme is conducive for a ton of passes right over the middle, and all three of the Texans’ tight ends might end up being great plays, especially if WR Andre Johnson ends up not playing yet again with his hamstring injury.

Week 8 of the 2011 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2011 Week 8 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 8 college football lines. Be sure to check out the free NCAA football picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend!

We have a big week of conference clashes ahead, and here at Bankroll Sports, we’re always analyzing the best of the NCAA football odds for the week ahead.

The showcase game of the weekend is going to pit the Wisconsin Badgers going on the road to take on the Michigan State Spartans. Sparty just came up with a huge win last week over the Michigan Wolverines to keep their hopes alive for the Big Ten Championship, but this week, the test is going to be severely different. This is the first time that the Badgers have gone on the road this year, but with the first BCS rankings not turning out favorably for them, they are going to have to win games and win them impressively if they want to make it to the National Championship Game without anyone else’s help. Even though they’re on the road, the Badgers are seven point favorites.

The SEC West is always brutal, and that will be the case again this weekend in the nationally televised showdown on CBS. The LSU Tigers have just been murdering teams left and right, and the oddsmakers are expecting no different this week when they take on the Auburn Tigers in Baton Rouge. It’s not often that you see a Top 25 team as greater than a three touchdown underdog, but that’s precisely the case this week in the annual Tiger Bowl. The defending national champs are catching a whopping 22.5 points at the Bayou Bengals.

The other two teams in the SEC West of note aren’t really expected to struggle all that much. The Arkansas Razorbacks are favored by 16 on the road at the Ole Miss Rebels, while the Alabama Crimson Tide are getting the nod by four touchdowns over the Tennessee Volunteers, who are still playing without QB Tyler Bray.

**Click Here for the World’s Most Profitable Sports Betting System**

The four touchdown spread isn’t nearly the biggest of the week on the Week 8 NCAA football betting odds. The Oregon Ducks are facing injuries right now to both QB Darron Thomas and RB LaMichael James, but they are still 33 point favorites on the road against the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Boise State Broncos are passing their tests in the Mountain West left and right, and this shouldn’t be all that much of an exception. Boise State, just like Wisconsin, knows that it needs to win a heck of a lot of games to be able to make it to the top of the mountain in the BCS rankings, but games like this one can only hurt, not help. The Broncos host the Air Force Falcons on the Smurf Turf, and they are favored by 31.5.

The biggest favorites of the year though, are the TCU Horned Frogs. There isn’t a team that has been favored by more than 40 this year in a game between two FBS schools, but it was predictable that the New Mexico Lobos, who are just playing out the string in another disastrous season, would be huge pups in this one. Can you imagine what last year’s Horned Frogs would have been favored by in this game? This year, TCU gets the nod by 41 on the college football odds.

This is also the first week that we have the oddball Tuesday games on the schedule. Of course, it is the Sun Belt that is playing on these weird days of the week, but the first Tuesday game is certainly one that should not be missed. Both the Arkansas State Red Wolves and the Florida International Golden Panthers have to think that they are contenders in the Sun Belt and for one of the automatic bowl slots that this conference has this year, but winning this game is likely going to be a prerequisite for either one to still feel like they are alive. QB Ryan Aplin and company are favored by 3.5 points at home.

On Thursday, the Arizona Wildcats in their first game of the post-Stoops era are going to be taking on the UCLA Bruins in primetime action. The hosts are favored by 3.5. Also on Thursday, the UCF Knights take to the road to duke it out with the UAB Blazers. It’s been a frustrating season for Head Coach George O’Leary and company, as they now have three losses on the season. However, the oddsmakers are assuming that they are going to get back in the win column in this one, as UCF is favored by two touchdowns.

On Friday, there are a pair of Big East games that are running concurrently with one another. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are favored by a slender point on the road at Papa John’s Stadium against the Louisville Cardinals, while the West Virginia Mountaineers are favored by 14.5 at the Carrier Dome against the Syracuse Orange.

Week 8 of the 2010 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 8 NFL lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 8 NFL odds. Be sure to check out the free NFL picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend…

Week 8 of the NFL season is going to be quite the interesting one for a number of teams. There are currently 11 games on the NFL schedule for this weekend, and only one of the 11 home teams are underdogs, something that is out of the ordinary by the standards of NFL betting action.

It’s even more ironic when that one underdog is the defending Super Bowl champs. Something is really wrong right now with the New Orleans Saints, as they really haven’t had but one very strong game this season, and they have really yet to seize control of the Louisiana Superdome as they have had in recent years. This week, the Pittsburgh Steelers are coming to town in a clash of the two most recent Super Bowl champions. Pittsburgh’s defense looked penetrable last week against the Miami Dolphins, and the men in black and gold have to hope that that remains the case once again this week. However, with QB Ben Roethlisberger now having strung together back to back great games, this battle is sure to be a great one on Sunday. NFL picks can be made on this game until the Halloween night kickoff at 8:20, and the hosts are slender one point pups.

The month of November will kick off with a tremendous game as well. The Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans are both coming off of their bye week, and they’ll meet at Lucas Oil Field for a tremendous Week 8 encounter on Monday Night Football. Houston took a major step in the right direction by beating down the Colts in Week 1 of the season, as RB Arian Foster rumbled for over 200 yards on the day. With the news breaking this week that TE Dallas Clark has been put on IR, one has to wonder if this is the year that the Texans win in Indianapolis for the first time ever. The oddsmakers are showing faith in the hosts though, as they are 5.5 point choices of the oddsmakers. The ‘total’ of 50 is the first game this year that has cracked the half century mark on the board.

This past weekend, the Buffalo Bills were the biggest underdogs on the board against the Baltimore Ravens, and they nearly pulled off the tremendous upset before falling in overtime to the men in purple and black. This weekend, they are once again the biggest dogs on the board, as they are 7.5 points in the rears to start against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Now though, Buffalo has the added pressure of being the only team in the NFL that has yet to win a game. It seems farfetched to really go the whole season without a win, but with the 2008 Detroit Lions watching and smirking, the Bills are going to be pressed to get the monkey off their backs in this one against the AFC West leaders.

With rashes and rashes of ‘over’ games of late, Week 8 is likely to feature 11 games with ‘totals’ in the 40s. The one exception is going to be the clash between the Carolina Panthers and the St. Louis Rams. These two were both playing in games last week that were decided at the gun, but the Panthers proved to be winners for the first time this year over the San Francisco 49ers, while the Rams were narrow one point losers to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The prospect was there for this to be the first battle of the season between two rookie starting quarterbacks, but it appears as though QB Matt Moore is going to be the man under center in this one for the Panthers, not QB Jimmy Clausen. This should be a great one for QB Sam Bradford, who has led his team to three wins at home already on the season. St. Louis is favored by three points, while the ‘total’ has been set at the lowest number on the board at 36.5.

The one question mark this week is whether or not QB Brett Favre is going to lose his streak of consecutive games played dating back to the 1992 season or not. Favre reportedly has some serious ankle injuries at this point, and Minnesota’s game with the New England Patriots in Foxboro is currently off the board.

Week 8 of the 2010 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 8 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 8 college football lines. Be sure to check out the free NCAA football picks from the expert handicappers at Bankroll Sports this weekend!

The first BCS rankings are out on the season, and the Oregon Ducks are the new No. 1 team in the country. Perhaps it’s not a grand thing to be ranked No. 1 though, as both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes have fallen to the No. 1 hex in back to back weeks. If Oregon is going to make that three in a row though, it is going to end up really posting an inexcusable dud at home against the UCLA Bruins. For a standalone game, this is the biggest NCAA point spread of the season, as the Ducks are favored by a whopping 24 points on Thursday night.

Perhaps the team set to fall into the biggest trap this weekend is the Michigan State Spartans. MSU is all the way up to No. 8 on the year, and it has to be looking forward to its big showdown with the Iowa Hawkeyes next week that could ultimately decide whether it has a perfect season in the cards. However, we must remember that this was about the time of year that the Northwestern Wildcats snuck up on those same Hawkeyes and wrecked their perfect season very unceremoniously. It would be a disaster for Sparty if that same fate were to happen this weekend, but the NCAA football odds suggest that it had better be careful, especially in Evanston. QB Dan Persa and company are only five point underdogs.

As for those Hawkeyes… They’re at home this weekend against the Wisconsin Badgers. We saw what happened last week when the South Carolina Gamecocks went on the road the week after beating the top team in the country, as they were beaten by the Kentucky Wildcats. The Badgers are expected to do the same this weekend even though they are the slightly higher ranked team in this duel. Iowa is picked to win this sucker by 5.5 points at home.

In the Big XII, a pair of highly touted teams that are expected to meet in the Big XII Championship Game are going to hit the road and take on two up and comers that could spoil the party for them both. The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Missouri Tigers are both getting highly disrespected in their games this weekend, as both are undefeated and have looked rather flawless this year, yet are still underdogs. Both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Oklahoma Sooners had better be careful, as they can watch not only their Big XII title hopes go up in flames, but their BCS Championship dreams as well.

All eyes at 3:30 ET though, will be glued to the Tiger tale going on at Jordan Hare Stadium. The Auburn Tigers and LSU Tigers are going to have a major SEC West war, and the winner will have a tremendous inside track towards the SEC Championship Game. This could also be the last bump in the road for Auburn before the Iron Bowl to end the season, as it will clearly be a hefty favorite in the remainder of its regular season games prior to heading to Tuscaloosa. This should be a great battle between a Heisman Trophy contender in QB Cam Newton and a fantastic defense that hasn’t been penetrated easily on the season. LSU knows how to win big games on the road (just ask the Florida Gators), but Auburn seems to be a blessed team this year. Still, laying six points is a ton in a game like this.

For a change this week, it is neither the Boise State Broncos nor the TCU Horned Frogs that are the biggest favorites on the college football slate this week. The Stanford Cardinal take that distinction, as they are 35 point favorites over the Washington State Cougars. The Utah Utes, the last undefeated ATS team in the nation, will put that mark on the line against the Colorado State Rams as 30.5 point chalks.

Last week should have been a profitable week for the NFL betting public as it was a big week for the favorites in week 7. The favorites were a solid 9-3-1 ATS over underdog teams as a few of the high power offenses beat up on some of the weaker teams. Over the course of the weekend the highly favored teams by 7 points or more cashed in big with a mark of 4-1 ATS. The away teams last weekend proved that home field may not be much of advantage after all going 8-5 against the home teams. Also, the over total finally broke through with a 7-5-1 mark after a few weeks of splits. However, this is the time of the year when the over usually has the edge before defenses take control during the latter of the season. As we look over the opening week 8 NFL lines, there are a few interesting game that jump out. If you like betting on home teams, the week 8 spreads may be the best week for your taste; considering there is only 1 away team favored this week compared to 11 home favorites. Another interesting fact that is obvious is the number of overwhelming favorites from this week’s NFL spreads. The week 8 NFL lines contain five games with favorites of 10 point or more and that total could easily reach to 6 if the Dallas line moves up another ½ point as they are 9½ point favorites over Seattle. A few of the close week eight lines include the undefeated Broncos who will are 3 point underdogs in Baltimore, Houston over Buffalo, Miami over New York Jets, and Jacksonville over Tennessee are all around field goal favorites. Another 3 point favorite is the much anticipated rematch between Minnesota at Green Bay. Brett Favre got the win over his former team of 16 years earlier this season, but they will be 3 point underdogs this weekend. Another close match-up to keep on your radar includes the Giants (5-2) at the Eagles (4-2) for claims to top the NFC East. The Eagles are favored by just a single point, but the game will likely be even by game time. Be sure to catch all of week 8 NFL lines including sides and totals from BetUS Sportsbook below.
