The sixth week of NFL betting action commences on Thursday night for some of the biggest and best teams in the league, as we will see a number of teams that are fighting for their lives try to right their seasons, and some teams continuing the quest for perfection.

The biggest story of the weekend is probably the biggest NFL point spread of the weekend. The Denver Broncos are giving 27 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that makes this the biggest single game spread in the history of NFL betting. Will it close that way, though? That’s still a bit of a mystery. Early action was on Jacksonville last week when WagerWeb Sportsbook posted the game at Denver -26, but we’ll see what happens now that Jacksonville has become the first team in NFL history to lose its first five games by 10+ points. It is clear that this is the worst team in football, and regardless of whether it is QB Blaine Gabbert or QB Chad Henne, things are going to be disgusting. QB Peyton Manning has put up just gobs of numbers, and for as long as he wants to be in this game, he is going to be doing even more damage. We would be shocked to see Manning throw for fewer than four TDs in this game on Sunday, and the scariest part is that it is going to take more than that to cover the number.

What’s almost as remarkable is the fact that the San Francisco 49ers are 11-point favorites against the Arizona Cardinals, yet they are the third biggest favorites of the day. The other team in the NFC West of note, the Seattle Seahawks are -14 against the Tennessee Titans, who remain to be a 3-2 team that is right in the thick of the fight of the playoff picture. There is obviously a lot of good coming here for these teams that are heavily favored, and it would be a shock to see any of them even remotely fail on the Week 6 odds in spite of those huge numbers.

Thursday Night Football is a dream waiting to happen for the Chicago Bears’ defense. This is a team that prides itself on forcing turnovers and making life a living hell on opposing quarterbacks. Enter the New York Giants, who have the most turnovers in football, and it isn’t even all that close. QB Eli Manning has already chumped up 10 picks this year, and his G-Men are off to an 0-5 start. Losing this one would put the team three back in the division with just 10 games to play, and the hope of a turnaround would be fading out once and perhaps for all. New York is getting 7.5 in this one, and it would be a miracle if the team could just salvage its first cover of the campaign in this one.

What we’re not seeing all that much of on the Week 6 betting lines are road favorites. The Green Bay Packers are giving three to the Baltimore Ravens in what should be one of the better games of the day, while the team that they are chasing, the Detroit Lions, are -2.5 on the road against the Cleveland Browns, who are forced to turn back to QB Brandon Weeden under center. Meanwhile in the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are still in search of their first win of the season, are -3 on the road against the New York Jets, and their division mates, the Cincinnati Bengals are -7 on the road against the Buffalo Bills. We’ve mentioned four games here, and two of the underdogs, the Bills and the Browns have the same problem. They’re both playing without their starting quarterbacks. We’ve already mentioned the QB Brian Hoyer injury that has put Weeden back in the saddle, but Buffalo has lost its second quarterback right now, as QB EJ Manuel has an LCL injury that is going to keep him out for a couple of weeks.

The Bills made their effort to sign QB Josh Freeman this week, but that right went to the Minnesota Vikings instead. Freeman is going to make $3M this year from the Vikes and over $8M from the team that cut him, Tampa Bay, and we aren’t all that sure if he is going to step in and start right away or not. QB Matt Cassel led Minnesota to its first win of the year two weeks ago in London, and he figures to start on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, where the Vikes are -2. As far as those Bucs are concerned, they’re a pick ’em at home against the Philadelphia Eagles (that’s the division leading Philadelphia Eagles to you!). Philly doesn’t know yet if QB Nick Foles or QB Michael Vick will be starting after Vick’s hamstring acted up against New York on Sunday, so that will be an interesting development to watch as the week wears on.

We have yet to make mention of the fact that the Houston Texans are -6.5 at home against the St. Louis Rams, as QB Matt Schaub tries to avoid becoming the first quarterback in league history to throw a pick six in five straight games, but that’s clearly not amongst the best games of the day. In the 4:00 ET hour though, the clash between the New Orleans Saints and the New England Patriots is. New England is giving 2.5 in this one, but New Orleans remains the only undefeated team in the NFC, and it is surely going to put up a heck of a fight. It’s not often that you see a pair of surefire Hall of Fame quarterbacks doing battle with one another, but QB Drew Brees and QB Tom Brady absolutely fit the bill.

Sunday Night Football should be a good one this week, as the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys battle for first place in the NFC East. The Cowboys are coming off of that crippling loss to the Broncos last week, and they badly need to bounce back in this one. If they don’t, they’re going to be in a lot of hot water. The Redskins haven’t shown much yet this year, but they are +4.5 and would qualify as a big upset if they were able to pull this one out of their hat.

On Monday Night Football in Week 6, the San Diego Chargers have to play once again. The Bolts have already played a Sunday night game that started at 11:35 p.m. ET and a Monday night game that started at 10:10 p.m. ET, so playing at odd times is nothing new to them. For the Indianapolis Colts though, this is a huge game. They knocked off the Seahawks last week, and they can put their foot on the gas pedal in the AFC South if they can win this game. They’re -1 on the road, and the oddsmakers aren’t showing much in the way of confidence that they can get the job done.

Surprisingly, the highest ‘total’ of the week actually isn’t the game between Brees and Brady as you would figure. The Colts and Jaguars have the highest number of the week at 51.5, and the implied team total here for the Broncos is 39.5 points, an absolutely insane number by the NFL’s standard.

We do have to mention that there are some games that have started off the week as of Sunday night off the board, and that could change some of the numbers around. However, the lowest ‘total’ of the games that are on the board right now pits the Jets against the Steelers, where the ‘total’ is only 40. The Titans and Seahawks get an honorable mention at 40.5, while the Raiders and the Chiefs are set at 41 to open up Week 6.

This is one of the biggest weeks on the NCAA football odds all year long. There are three clashes of teams that are ranked in the Top 15 in the nation and a ton of other conference games that should whet your appetite. Don’t miss out on our 2012 Week 6 betting lines for college football!

But before we get to the main course on Saturday, we have five weekday games to sink our teeth into. The most important game on the college football gambling lines is the one between the USC Trojans and the Utah Utes. Anyone betting on the Men of Troy have to be careful, knowing that road teams have been as good as death, especially ones that are ranked in the Pac-12 this year. USC has already fallen victim to the Stanford Cardinal on the road, and the CFB point spread wasn’t really all that far off from this one. USC is getting the nod to start the week at -12.5.

Elsewhere on Thursday night, the UCF Knights are laying two touchdowns against the East Carolina Pirates, while the Arkansas State Red Wolves and the Florida International Golden Panthers aren’t going to be separated by all that much. The Red Wolves are 1.5-point underdogs on the road in South Florida.

Friday night is featuring a two-pack of games. The Big East kicks things off when the Pitt Panthers are favored by a field goal at the Carrier Dome against the Syracuse Orange. The BYU Cougars and Utah Utes will also face off on Friday night on ESPN, but the Week 6 odds are currently off the board at the start of the week.

There are three absolutely massive games that are on the docket this week that cannot be missed, as they all feature Top 12 teams.

We’ll start with the 3:30 ET game pitting the Florida Gators against the LSU Tigers. The Bayou Bengals have been falling in the Top 5 in the land over the course of the last few weeks. They have been playing very vanilla ball though, and they are going to have a real chance to shine in the Swamp against the Gators. Play this game two weeks ago, and the Gators are underdogs by at least a touchdown, and maybe double digits. Play in three weeks in the future, and that might be the case as well. However, with the Tigers playing seemingly as badly as they have over the course of the last few years and the Gators coming into this one at 4-0, and for those reasons, the men in blue and orange are only catching 3.5.

Later on in the night, the West Virginia Mountaineers, fresh off of their 800+ yard game, are going to be headed on the road to take on the Texas Longhorns. The Horns were able to come up with a game winning drive of their own against Oklahoma State last week. QB David Ash and QB Geno Smith are going to be fighting it out in this one in Austin, and it is going to be a Texas-sized showdown. This is inevitably going to be one of the biggest ‘totals’ of the week. The Mountaineers are the higher ranked team, but in the end, they aren’t expected to win this game, and the oddsmakers aren’t even implying that they are the better team. Texas is favored by 6.5.

But perhaps the biggest NCAA football matchup in Week 6 pits the Georgia Bulldogs against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Especially if Florida loses earlier in the day, this game will be for first place in the SEC East. This is a bigger game from the standpoint that will be a National Championship elimination game. These two teams are amongst the best in the nation, and they are both going to be up against it taking on the other in the biggest game for both over the course of the year. Unlike Texas, which is favored by more than home field advantage, the oddsmakers just can’t separate Georgia and South Carolina. The only difference to make this spread South Carolina -3? The fact that this game is being played in Columbia and not in Athens. Flip this one to Athens, and the Dawgs would probably be favored by a field goal right now as well.

It’s not as though the rest of the card is going to be feature a ton of slacking games. There are a number of teams that are on massive upset alert that are ranked in the Top 25 in the country.

Perhaps the biggest upset candidate might be the Florida State Seminoles. The garnet and gold overcame their first road game of the year, and they are expected to do so against the NC State Wolfpack this week as well. However, Raleigh has always been a nightmarish place for the Noles to play in, and NC State has always been a thorn in FSU’s side. The Wolfpack are getting two touchdowns, but if recent history repeats itself, the Seminoles might be in some trouble. They have lost four meetings here in Raleigh since the late-1990s.

The Oklahoma Sooners might be on upset alert as well on the road. The Sooners were beaten by the Kansas State Wildcats at home the last time that we saw them, and now, their hopes of playing for the Big XII Championship or the BCS really at all are up in the air here in Lubbock on Saturday. The Texas Tech Red Raiders are the next team on the docket, and this game is dangerous for sure. Head Coach Tommy Tuberville is a master for games like this one, and his offense is going to be problematic for OU. Remember that last year, as more than four-touchdown underdogs, the Red Raiders pulled off the shocker in Norman. This year, T-Tech is getting just five points.

The Michigan Wolverines could be in some trouble as well. They aren’t in the Top 25 anymore, but they are certainly still supposed to be favorites to win the Big Ten. QB Denard Robinson has looked lost at times in this, his senior year, and now, he is going to be running into a Purdue Boilermakers outfit that was the only one this year to really give the Notre Dame Fighting Irish a run for their money for the full 60 minutes. Michigan is -3.5, but it wouldn’t be a shock at all if the Boilers started their Big Ten campaign on the right foot.

Last week, the biggest favorite, the Alabama Crimson Tide, were favored by 30.5 points. This week, that number has come down quite a bit. The only favorites that are greater than 21 points on the opening college football betting odds are the Oregon Ducks (-24.5 vs. Washington Huskies), Kansas State Wildcats (-24.5 vs. Kansas Jayhawks), and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (-25 vs. UNLV Runnin’ Rebels). There aren’t all that many big time road favorites this week either. The Fresno State Bulldogs are -16 against the Colorado State Rams, while the Michigan State Spartans are -14.5 on the road against the Indiana Hoosiers. No other team is favored on the road by more than the 14 of Florida State.

On the flip side of that though, there are six games which are separated by a college football point spread of three points or fewer, while there are 19 games that are separated by a touchdown or fewer.

What’s most interesting to us is the role of the aforementioned Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. One more win should put the Bulldogs in the Top 25 in the land, and they are laying 25 points against the UNLV Running Rebels at home and should have no problem. Meanwhile, the only other mid-major team that has any sort of real chance to get into the BCS discussion this year is the Boise State Broncos, who are favored by 11 on the road against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.

Drew Brees Over/Under 25 Completions
Brees has already completed a whopping 152 passes this year, which is an average of 30.4 passes per game. The running game just isn’t getting any better for the boys from the Bayou, and going against a defense that is allowing 254.6 yards per game isn’t going to hurt that in all likelihood. Brees completed just 21 passes in the one game that truly meant anything last year, but that game got out of hand in a hurry in a 31-6 win for the Saints. We tend to think that this game is going to be a heck of a lot closer, and if that’s the case, we have to believe that Brees is going to throw the ball 40 times, and he’ll complete at least 25 of them. Ben Roethlisberger Over/Under 21.5 Completions
Last week, in a game in which the Steelers won going away against the Tennessee Titans, Big Ben completed 24 passes on his 34 attempts, including throwing for five touchdowns. This week, he is going against a Jacksonville secondary that is a heck of a lot better than that of the Titans in all likelihood. We know that RB Rashard Mendenhall is going to be back in the lineup, and there is a commitment to this running game in spite of the fact that the offensive line is all beat up for the black and gold. With this game being at home with the crowd on their side, the Steelers are probably going to go back to the old school type of game instead of this new school passing game. Roethlisberger Under 21.5 Completions (-115 at BetOnline Sportsbook).

Sam Bradford Over/Under 240.5 Passing Yards
If you were to look at our fantasy football analysis, you would know that we are high on Bradford this week against the Packers. This has been one of the worst pass defenses in the league for whatever reason, and off of their bye week, we tend to think that the Rams are going to be able to put forth their best offensive game. Bradford has only had one game this year with even 190 passing yards, but in that game, he threw for 331 yards against the New York Giants. This is a very similar looking game, and we expect a very similar looking result. Bradford Over 240.5 Passing Yards (-115 at BetOnline Sportsbook).

Santana Moss Over/Under 59.5 Receiving Yards
At times, QB Rex Grossman only really has eyes for Moss, but thanks to Matthew Berry of ESPN.com, we learned a fantastic stat this week about top receivers against the Eagles. Against Philly this year, Roddy White had 23 receiving yards, Hakeem Nicks had 25 receiving yards, and Steve Johnson had 29 yards. And you think that Moss is going to be able to reach 60 with DB Nnamdi Asomugha on his tail the entire game? We tend to think not, especially considering the fact that Moss, in spite of the fact that he has had at least five receptions in all four games this year, is only averaging 61.5 yards per game. Colt McCoy Over/Under 19.5 Completions
The Raiders are lost in their secondary right now, as they are allowing 299.6 yards per game through the air, No. 29 in the league. Last week alone, the Houston Texans accounted for over 400 passing yards. Don’t think that Head Coach Pat Shurmur wasn’t paying attention to all of this during Cleveland’s bye week. QB Colt McCoy has thrown the ball 172 times this year in just four games, and he should put the pigskin in the air at least 35 times in this one. Even though McCoy is only completing 58.1 percent of his passes on the season, we know that that number should be higher with this short passing West Coast offense. Michael Turner Over/Under 91.5 Rushing Yards
Turner has struggled this year on the ground, as he only has two 100+ yard games on the ground. Both of those came courtesy of big runs, and without the two carries of more than 50 yards on the year, Turner is only averaging 3.32 yards per carry. That being said, Carolina’s rush defense is absolutely putrid at 135.2 yards per game. There aren’t any other running backs that are going to be stealing Turner’s carries as long as he doesn’t get hurt, and he does have that potential to knock off a 50+ yard run even time that he touches the pigskin. Don’t be shocked if he has 20 touches in this one, and if that’s the case and even one can get broken, this could be a third triple digit rushing game. Ryan Fitzpatrick Over/Under 240.5 Passing Yards
Another man that we highlighted this week on our fantasy football picks to click. Fitzpatrick has had back to back games with fewer than 200 passing yards, but this is a significantly different New York secondary, and a bad one at that. Remember that this is a Buffalo passing attack that reasonably has two 100+ yard receiving options on a regular basis in WR Steve Johnson and WR David Nelson. They both might get the job done in this one. This is a terrible line in our estimation, as Fitzpatrick should approach 300 passing yards. Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. New York Giants
Fitzpatrick wasn’t owned in most leagues at the start of the season, but he became a hot commodity to pick up after the first couple weeks of the season. He has had back to back games with fewer than 200 yards passing, and the emergence of RB Fred Jackson has really eaten into his touchdown production. That being said, we have to remember that last week’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles was a tough one for the Ivy Leaguer. He’s smart enough to know that these defensive backs are the real deal and using the ground game was the best course of moving the ball up and down the field. The Giants still don’t have a fantastic secondary, and we tend to think that Fitzpatrick is going to be in for a significantly better game. If you’re in a bye week quandary and Fitzpatrick is out there, pick him up and don’t be afraid to start him.

Sam Bradford vs. Green Bay Packers
In most standard ESPN fantasy football leagues, Bradford hasn’t even averaged 10 points per game. He only has three total touchdowns against seven turnovers. However, in this one, the former Oklahoma Sooner has a good matchup. We know that the Packers have a vaunted defense, and Bradford will surely be making his mistakes. He’ll pick up some big plays though, knowing that Green Bay just isn’t as good in the secondary as it has been in years past. Especially off of the bye week, we tend to think that Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels should have a great game plan for Bradford to succeed. A pair of touchdowns and 250 passing yards is the minimum that we’re expecting to see.

Harry Douglas vs. Carolina Panthers
Carolina’s defense is as shoddy as could be, and Douglas is definitely a guy that should not be ignored. Rookie WR Julio Jones is out of the lineup and WR Roddy White has been banged up as well. Douglas is almost certainly going to be the starter opposite of White, and QB Matt Ryan is probably going to form a relatively quick bond with him. The best news is that the Panthers have been stingy this year, and they aren’t going to give up in any game. That might keep the passing game going for Ryan and the crew, and if that’s the case, Douglas could really be the beneficiary.

Delone Carter vs. Cincinnati Bengals
We’ve given up in saying, “If the Colts can win this game…” because we know that they probably aren’t going to prove to be victorious. It doesn’t seem like RB Joseph Addai is going to be in the fold this week, and if that’s the case, Carter is going to be getting the call for the most part. The former Syracuse Orange tailback has proven that has the ability to get the job done when he is given the chance, and though the Bengals rank No. 11 in the league against the rush for fantasy football players, you can probably pick Carter up off of the scrap heap right now, and you might get a good game.

Making NFL picks this weekend is going to be awfully difficult for even the best of NFL fans this week, as there are a number of injuries to talk about and close call matchups that could go either way. As of Monday morning, there are only eight games that are on the board with a ton of other NFL spreads to still be released over the course of the week. The notable news for Week 6 is that QB Ben Roethlisberger is back for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben spent the first four games of the season on the shelf due to a suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Roethlisberger will have a relatively easy opponent to take on in Week 6, but the Cleveland Browns have proven to be a stingy team this year. Cleveland was originally getting 12 points in this game, which was hefty in spite of the fact that the Pittsburgh offense has really yet to prove that it has the ability to score that many points this year, but news really got worse over the course of the week for the Browns. QB Colt McCoy is going to be getting his first career start against one of the most vaunted defenses in the league, as both QB Seneca Wallace and QB Jake Delhomme are out. The Steelers are now laying 14 points in a very popular NFL pick for the week.

In what suddenly looks like it could be a very interesting clash in the NFC South, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the New Orleans Saints. The visitors are going to be favored in this game, but not by nearly as many points as one probably would have thought at the outset of the season. New Orleans has only played two road games this year and has failed to cover both of them. The Saints are coming off of a bad loss to the Arizona Cardinals, while the Bucs shocked the Cincinnati Bengals with a last second field goal at Paul Brown Stadium to move to 3-1. The winner of this game will be sitting near the top of the NFC South, depending on how the Atlanta Falcons do against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Saints are down to -4 after opening at -5 in this clash.

The game of the afternoon on Sunday is going to be at Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots, fresh off of their bye week, are going to take on the Baltimore Ravens. Both of these teams have looked good in recent weeks, as they each only have one loss to their names thus far on the season. These two met up at this venue in the postseason last year, with the Ravens bouncing New England out of the playoffs. QB Tom Brady no longer has WR Randy Moss to throw the ball to, as he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings during the bye. However, the oddsmakers still think that the Pats are the choice in this game, as pro football picks will have to be made against a 2.5 point spread.

On Sunday Night Football, the Washington Redskins, off of their overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers, will look to claim another scalp on the season when the Indianapolis Colts come to FedEx Field. Indy certainly hasn’t played well of late in spite of the fact that it is sitting in the middle of this dog pile at 3-2 in the AFC South. These teams might have identical records, but the men making the NFL lines aren’t so sure that they are really on a level playing field. The Colts are favored by three points on the road.

Monday Night Football will feature two more teams from that wacky AFC South, as the Tennessee Titans are three point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Sunshine State. Both teams are off of road victories that helped push them above the .500 mark for the season to date.

Week 6 betting action picks up on Tuesday night and continues with college football betting action throughout the week! The action is going to be hot and heavy in conference play this year, as some fierce rivals take aim at big wins that can change the landscape of college football for the 2011 BCS Championship run!

We’re keeping a very close eye on some undefeated Big XII teams this week, as both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are on upset alert on the road in weeknight, nationally televised duels. Nebraska is heading to Kansas State, where the Wildcats are out to prove that they belong as a Top 25 team. The Pokes have a much more modest test, as they have to travel to face the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns. However, they have had a history of losing against Sun Belt teams before, so Okie State is certainly one to watch out for.

Saturday belongs to the SEC, though!

The Alabama Crimson Tide, fresh off of their whooping of the Florida Gators, now have to hit the road in the SEC, where there is simply never a week off. The South Carolina Gamecocks are searching for some respect and nearly pulled the upset at the Auburn Tigers two weeks ago. The Ol’ Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier knows that the Tide did his Cocks a big time favorite by handing UF its first conference loss, and a win in this won could go a long way in flipping the tide of the SEC East race. The Crimson Tide are favored by seven points, the third straight hefty college football point spread in a tough game.

One would figure when the No. 9 team in the land travels to face the No. 12 team that the spread would be awfully close. However, that just isn’t the case this week, as the Florida Gators play host to the LSU Tigers in a game that could have some major implications in the National Championship run as well. LSU knows that it can afford a slip, but there are still some horrifying games on the slate. Florida’s season would effectively be over with a second straight loss. The Bayou Bengals might be undefeated, but they certainly don’t look sharp right now. They’re expected to take a major tumble in this one, as they are 6.5 point underdogs on Saturday night in the Swamp.

There are two other major games of note. In the Big Ten, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans will both look to lock up a spot in a bowl game this early in the season. Both teams are 5-0 and both are ranked in the Top 25. It is clear to say that both are exceeding expectations, though one will clearly take a tumble back towards earth upon defeat. The Spartans are the team under the gun in this one though, as they know that they can play at home but have yet to really get tested away from East Lansing. That will all change on Saturday. Big Blue is favored by 4.5 points.

The Sunshine State will be burning as well in South Beach for arguably the most crucial duel in ACC betting action all season long. The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles have both looked fantastic for the most part this year, and they can both get a huge leg up in their respective divisions in the ACC with a win against their biggest rivals. Florida State might be angry over last year’s defeat on Labor Day night at home, but it has a 6.5 point hole to climb out of to win this one.

As we enter week six of the season and rundown the week 6 NFL lines, we take a quick look at how last week’s numbers panned out. The underdogs jumped back in the driver’s seat in week 5, as the favorites were 6-8. Home teams were 8-6 in week 5 and the over/unders were an even 7-7 split, as they have been most of the year. As we said they would, the home dogs showed a profit in week 5, going 4-2. Favorites still have an overall advantage this season and you can expect more underdogs to continue to catch up due to some big numbers. Favorites of 7 points or more went 4-2 and favorites of 10 points or more went 3-1 in week 5. Therefore, you can expect to see more big numbers once again the week 6 NFL spreads, making this another excellent week for underdog bettors. However, if you like the home dogs, this is not your week. There are lots of home favorites on the week 6 schedule and just two home underdogs. The only two home dogs of the opening week 6 NFL lines are the (3-1) Philadelphia Eagles, who are 14 point favorites on the road vs. the (1-4) Oakland Raiders, and the (1-3) Carolina Panthers, giving 3 points to the (0-5) Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. That’s it. The rest of the board features home favorites and quiet a few big ones. There six games on the board for week six with spreads of 9 points or more. The biggest number on the board is a 14.5 point spread, where the (3-2) Pittsburgh Steelers are 14½ point favorites at home vs. the (1-4) Cleveland Browns, who won their first game in week 5 over the Buffalo Bills. In the unanimous game of the week featuring two undefeated teams, the (5-0) New York Giants head to the Superdome as 3 point dogs, to take on the (4-0) New Orleans Saints who are coming off a bye week. The Sunday night matchup features the Falcons, coming off their drubbing of the (3-2) 49ers, as 3½ point favorites at home vs. the (3-1) Chicago Bears. The week 6 NFL spread for this week’s Monday Night Football matchup, is a 3½ point home favorite in (5-0) Denver @ (2-2) San Diego. One can only wonder how a 5-0 team is actually getting more then a field goal from a 2-2 team that has looked mediocre at best this season. Some other big spreads from the week sx NFL lines include; the winless Rams getting 10 points at (2-3) Jacksonville, the (1-4) Detroit Lions getting 13½ at (2-2) Green Bay, (1-4) Buffalo getting 9½ heading into New York to take on the Jets, who are coming off a tough Monday Night loss, and the Patriots who are 9 point favorites at home vs. the winless (0-5)Tennessee Titans.
