Thanks to a slew of injuries that have happened over the course of the last few weeks, the NFL betting odds for Week 13 are only slowly trickling out. There are several games that are still off the board, but if you check back later this week, we will have the NFL lines posted for all 16 games on the rotation schedule.

The Thursday nighter between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks is a de facto elimination game if both teams haven’t already been booted from the second season. QB Michael Vick’s status is up in the air with his injured ribs, as are both WR Jeremy Maclin and WR Sidney Rice. This one will be off the board until all of those injury situations are worked out.

The Cincinnati Bengals are going to get another shot to prove that they are legitimate this week when they go on the road to Heinz Field to try to tango with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We know that the men in black and gold are going to be heavily favored in this one, especially knowing that it really could basically lock up a playoff spot with a win to earn the season split, but we don’t know just by how many points the Steelers will be getting the nod.

Another team in the thick of the AFC playoff race, the Houston Texans are off the board against the surging Atlanta Falcons. These two teams both badly need this game, though it is more important for Atlanta than Houston, as the latter has a two-game cushion in the AFC South. The big problem for the Texans is that it is likely going to be QB TJ Yates making his first career start in just his second career game. Both QB Matt Schaub and QB Matt Leinart were lost in a span of just about 60 minutes of game time.

Two of Sunday’s marquee games are also off the board at the moment thanks to the oddsmakers waiting to see what happens on Monday Night Football. The New York Giants take on the Green Bay Packers in a battle of two of the best teams in the NFC, and playoff positioning will also be crucial on Sunday Night Football when the New Orleans Saints host the struggling Detroit Lions.

As far as the games that are on the board at the moment, we have to look at the ridiculously big favorites that are posted. We knew that the Indianapolis Colts were going to be tremendous pups at some point this year, and this is the game in which it is going to happen. They are 21 point underdogs on the road at the New England Patriots, the biggest point spread of the year. (To make matters worse, they might find themselves as three TD underdogs next week against the Baltimore Ravens as well!) We haven’t seen an NFL betting line quite like this one since the Pats were in the midst of their perfect regular season in 2007, and it seems fitting that it is now QB Tom Brady and the gang that are once again laying three scores.

The San Francisco 49ers might be celebrating being the first team in the playoffs this week. A win over the St. Louis Rams at home, and the Niners can fly that division banner in the NFC West in 2011. It comes as no surprise that the struggling Rams are 13.5 point dogs on the road, halfway across the country. San Fran knows that it can’t afford too many more slips like it had last week on Thanksgiving if it wants to have a first round bye in the playoffs.

The AFC playoff picture is cloudy at best right now, but things should be a heck of a lot more clear when this week is said and done with.

The Oakland Raiders, the leaders in the AFC West, are slender one point dogs on Sunday on the road at the Miami Dolphins. The Fins have been stingy, playing essentially six straight very good games, and they would love to continue to play the role of the spoilers. Oakland is a short one-point dog on Sunday, and that means that it will probably be in a position to lose the AFC West lead to the Denver Broncos, who visit the Minnesota Vikings in yet another game that is currently off the board.

The biggest game of the day might be when the Tennessee Titans clash with the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is two back with five to play, and it is in a good spot to make up a game on the Bengals this week. The Bills are getting the nod by 1.5 points over the Tennessee Titans, who might need to win out to catch the Texans for the lead in the AFC South.

The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets are both in tricky spots on the road this week, but both really could use ‘W’s to keep control of their own destinies in the postseason picture. Baltimore is laying a TD at the Cleveland Browns, while the Jets are -3.5 in Landover against the Washington Redskins.

In other action on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys are -6 at the struggling Arizona Cardinals, the Chicago Bears are -7.5 in what could be the first game for QB Kyle Orton as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs (ironically, back in the Windy City, a place he called home for a number of years before being traded), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are -3.5 in an NFC South clash at home against the Carolina Panthers.

On Monday Night Football, the San Diego Chargers are -3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a battle of two teams that likely have already been eliminated from postseason contention.

DeAngelo Williams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Most who spent relatively high fantasy football draft picks on Williams have probably either cut him loose or have just forgotten about him. However, Carolina’s richest running back has had double digits worth of fantasy points in each of the last two weeks, and he is starting to at least get a few more carries than RB Jonathan Stewart. Either way, the Tampa Bay defense has had a miserable time going against some of the top running games in the league, as this unit ranks No. 31 in the league against rushers in terms of fantasy points. It’s always scary to see QB Cam Newton stealing touchdowns, but Williams has gotten a couple red zone looks of late, so we know that he at least has a shot of getting the job done.

Stevan Ridley vs. Indianapolis Colts
Ridley has only really had one good game this year, a 97-yard effort against the Oakland Raiders in Week 4. Since that point, he only has 21 carries for 46 yards without a sniff of the end zone. However, this game against the Colts is going to be an interesting one, as Head Coach Bill Belichick knows that this is going to be a great opportunity to use all of his running backs against a pitiful defense that ranks dead last in the league in a number of categories. Ridley may get some more looks, especially if RB Danny Woodhead and RB Shane Vereen can’t go, as both are injured.

Nate Burleson vs. New Orleans Saints
Odds have it, there is going to be a shootout in the Bayou on Sunday, and that means that QB Matt Stafford is going to have to put the ball in the air quite a bit to have any chance of sticking around with QB Drew Brees and the Saints. Burleson has had at least four catches in each of Detroit’s last four games, and he has emerged as a legitimate second receiver opposite of the great WR Calvin Johnson. Finding the end zone might be tough, as there is a lot of attention paid to both Johnson and TE Brandon Pettigrew when the Lions get in the red zone, but especially if you’re in a PPR league, Burleson makes for a great play, and he might be able to be had via free agency.

Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST vs. San Diego Chargers
The Jags are allowing just over 18 points per game this year, and you know that they are going to play a relatively short game with all of the running that RB Maurice Jones-Drew should be doing. That being said, the Chargers look like a lame team right now with a lame duck coach, and their offense just turns the ball over a ton. San Diego’s offense ranks No. 19 in the league for fantasy points against defensive, but a lot of the damage came at the start of the season when the team was 4-1. The Bolts haven’t won since that point, they have been devastatingly bad. That shouldn’t change on Monday with new Head Coach Mel Tucker in charge of the Jags.

The second to last week of the college football betting season is going to be as interesting as could be, as there are bowl bids and title bids on the line all over the country.

Last week was a week of a ton of carnage in the Top 10 in the nation, and this week might not be all that much of an exception.

We’ll start right at the very top in the SEC West, where all sorts of stuff could hit the fan. The Auburn Tigers are the ones that can really throw a monkey wrench into the works, as they could ruin the BCS for the SEC, which sits Nos. 1, 2, and 3 right now. The Alabama Crimson Tide will at least punch a ticket to the SEC Championship Game or the National Championship Game in all likelihood with a win in the Iron Bowl on the road. Last year, Bama could have ended the title hopes for the Tigers at home but couldn’t do it. This year, it’s Auburn that is trying to pull off the shocker. The hosts are whopping 20.5 point underdogs, though.

But of course, all eyes, once again, are going to be glued on the LSU Tigers. The Bayou Bengals could probably make the argument with road wins against West Virginia, Oregon (neutral site), and Alabama that they deserve to play for all the marbles regardless of whether they beat the Arkansas Razorbacks or not. We’d venture to say that the SEC West title will be on the line in Baton Rouge on Friday afternoon for the traditional day after Thanksgiving game between LSU and Arkansas. We’ve seen LSU ranked No. 1 in the country at this juncture before, and we’ve seen the Hogs pull off the upset. That being said, we’ve also seen that happen and LSU still be playing for all the marbles, so nothing is definitive yet. For now though, this is the most important game of the season for both teams, and the host Tigers are 13 point favorites.

Don’t think that these are the only two rivalry games going on this week, and they’re certainly not the only games that feature some huge NCAA football point spreads.

The West Virginia Mountaineers and Pitt Panthers hate each other with a passion, and in a Big East title elimination game, the host ‘Neers are favored by 7.5 points. Be careful though, as the underdog has won three of the last four in this series outright.

On Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will square off in the battle of the Peach State. Tech really has rebounded from a few bad games in the middle of the season, and there is no shame in its only loss since that point against the No. 5 team in the land, the Virginia Tech Hokies. Georgia hasn’t been beaten since Week 2 though, and the argument could be made that this team is one of the hottest in America and is deserving of a spot in the Top 10 in the country. UGA may be on the road in this one, but it is still a six point favorite.

As for those Hokies, they’re taking on the suddenly red hot Virginia Cavaliers in a game that is for a heck of a lot more than just instate bragging rights. If by chance the Cavvies can take down V-Tech, the ACC’s bid to the BCS becomes a heck of a lot more interesting. The winner of this game will win the ACC Coastal Division and go on to play the Clemson Tigers for the bid to the Orange Bowl next week. The Hokies are laying 5.5 on the road in Charlottesville, but UVA proved just how dangerous it can be last week when it went on the road and beat the Florida State Seminoles.

The Noles are involved in a rivalry game of their own this week at the Florida Gators. FSU broke a long losing streak to UF last year, and now, it is trying to win its first game in Gainesville in quite some time. The Gators have had a rough first season under Head Coach Will Muschamp, and a loss in this one would be debilitating for the program’s recruiting. The garnet and gold, even off of that aforementioned loss to the Cavaliers, are two point favorites.

More rivalry games of note… the Ohio State Buckeyes are getting 7.5 in the Big House against the Michigan Wolverines… the Clemson Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks are both out of the running for a slot in the BCS, as both really wilted in their most important games down the stretch. The Gamecocks are -4.5 at home in this rivalry game… The Civil War in the state of Oregon is expected to be quite one-sided. The Oregon State Beavers are 28 point favorites on the road in Autzen, where the Oregon Ducks will need to win to wrap up the Pac-12 North… The Mississippi State Bulldogs need a win to attain bowl eligibility this year, and they is a comfortable 17.5 point favorite over the Mississippi Rebels at home in the Egg Bowl… The USC Trojans can end the Pac-12 South title hopes for the UCLA Bruins in the battle of Tinseltown this year. USC is favored by 14.5.

The Big Ten Championship Game already has one entrant in the Michigan State Spartans, but their foe will be decided on Saturday when the Penn State Nittany Lions head to Camp Randall to tango with the Wisconsin Badgers. No one really gave Penn State a chance of winning on the road last week at Ohio State, but it got the job done and kept its Rose Bowl hopes alive. The Nittany Lions are getting no respect in this one though, as they are 15 point pups.

Finally, we have a lot of teams that are putting their BCS bowl hopes on the line. The Oklahoma Sooners are going to take on the Iowa State Cyclones, who just upset the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday night to gain bowl eligibility. OU can’t afford a third loss, no matter who it is to, which is why the oddsmakers have made it a four touchdown favorite. Of course, Okie State was a four TD favorite last week as well, and we all saw what the Cyclones were able to pull off in that situation…

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Stanford Cardinal are probably playing for an at large bid to the BCS. Notre Dame isn’t necessarily in with a win, while Stanford isn’t necessarily out with a loss, but the Cardinal are in with a win, and the Irish are out with a loss. The Cardinal haven’t played well over the course of the last two weeks, but they are still favored by 6.5 in this one against the Irish, who finally cracked the Top 25 in the BCS rankings this week.

The postseason picture is going to probably be sorted out quite a bit over the course of Week 13, as there are a number of playoff contenders playing potential pretenders that are looking to just keep their heads above water.

Nowhere else is that demonstrated more than on the first NFL betting battle of the week, a clash between the 7-4 Philadelphia Eagles and the 5-6 Houston Texans. The visitors just keep finding ways to lose games this year, as they are still a game below .500 on the year and are clinging to life support. The Eagles are tied for first place in the NFC East, but they know if they lose this one, that they are in a heck of a lot of trouble, as the rest of the NFC isn’t going to let up at this point. The hosts are favored by 8.5 points, but this could be a game that is a lot more hotly contested than this point spread suggests.

Another game of potential pretender versus certain contender involves two more NFC East teams. The Washington Redskins have no choice but to beat the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, as they could get back to within a game of the division lead with a ‘W’. A loss though, would be debilitating, as there isn’t a team in the NFC that is coming back from a 5-7 record, save perhaps in the NFC West, to make the playoffs. Washington is facing a hefty 7.5 point spread on Sunday afternoon.

The NFC South could be made into a real mess this weekend if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pull off the modest upset against the Atlanta Falcons. The hosts are coming off of a rough game against the Baltimore Ravens in which they were beaten 17-10, while the Falcons just continue to win game after game after game. Tampa Bay is two games back in the NFC South, but with one more loss, the Bucs could be in danger of falling out of the NFC playoff race all together. Atlanta is a game up on the rest of the conference right now, but with the New Orleans Saints hot on its tail, it badly needs to keep up the pace to keep some distance between itself and the rest of the conference. The Falcons are favored by a field goal.

The biggest favorites on the board are the San Diego Chargers. They are 12.5 point favorites over the Oakland Raiders even though these teams are separated by just one game in the standings. The Bolts have won five in a row and are in a position to take over first place in the AFC West if the Kansas City Chiefs trip up once more. The Raiders are in dire straits this week, as a loss will almost certainly end their campaign.

The disastrous stretch of games for the Indianapolis Colts could take a real turn for the worse if they can’t take out the Dallas Cowboys in the national game on Sunday afternoon. The ‘Boys are hot right now, though they were beaten at the gun by the New Orleans Saints last week on Thanksgiving. Indy has dropped two in a row and is still outside of the playoff picture, and a loss on Sunday would leave it at just .500 over the first three quarters of the regular season. Dallas is only a dog by 5.5 points at Lucas Oil Field.

However, the crème de la crème for Week 13 picks occur on Sunday Night and Monday Night Football. In the appetizer of the weekend, the Baltimore Ravens will play host to the Baltimore Ravens. These two teams are tied atop the AFC North right now, and the winner will be in great shape for a first round bye in the playoffs. The Ravens already beat Pittsburgh once this year, and now that these two teams are playing in M&T Bank Field, this is a golden opportunity for the hosts. Should Baltimore capture this one, it will essentially be two games up with just four to play. The Ravens are the choices of the oddsmakres by a field goal.

The New York Jets are in the same spot on Monday Night Football this week, but their task is significantly harder. The New England Patriots have their identical record at 9-2 this year, and the winning team is going to almost certainly have a first round bye in the bag should that squad hold the AFC East title for the rest of the year. Should the Jets win, New England can already pack its bags for the road against most like either the AFC South or AFC West winner in the first round of the playoffs. The Jets at least have a chance to come back from a defeat, though the Pats aren’t likely to trip if they become the dominating team in the division. New England is favored by 3.5 points.

Week 13 of the 2010 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2010 Week 13 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 13 college football lines. Rivalries are abound over the course of this weekend, and college football betting fans should be excited for the action! This week offers a slew of fantastic games on the slate, and we have all of the action broken down for all of the most important college football picks that you need to make for the week to come.

In the Big XII, the Texas A&M Aggies and Texas Longhorns are going to try to make some headway in the conference, but they have some totally different goals. The Aggies are trying to move up in the bowl picture in the conference, and perhaps even keep their slim BCS bowl dreams alive. Texas is going to need to win this game to make a bowl game, as it knows that this is its last chance to get back to .500 on the season. The Aggies are favored by 3.5 points.

Texas isn’t the only team in bowl trouble, though. The Georgia Bulldogs are 5-6 on the season, and they are going to try to take down the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who are 6-5. Both teams probably need this game though, as neither the SEC nor the ACC is going to be able to send all of its teams to bowl games in all likelihood. The visitors are playing without QB Josh Nesbitt, which is why the Dawgs are 12 point choices of the oddsmakers.

The Golden Boot will be handed out to the winner of the annual duel between the LSU Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The loser of this game is certain to be stuck with a second tier bowl game this year, while the winner is going to finish in no worse than a tie for second place in the SEC West and be eligible for a BCS at large bid. LSU knows it is going to the BCS and has a chance to play for a National Championship with a victory. However, with this game being played in Little Rock, QB Ryan Mallett and company are favored by 3.5 points.

In the Sunshine State, the Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles are going to have at it on Saturday afternoon at Doak Campbell Stadium. UF knows that it is probably going to the Outback Bowl regardless of the outcome in this game, but the Noles are likely to really move up or down the ACC bowl ladder based upon the result. This is an incredibly important game for HC Jimbo Fisher, as he badly needs to beat the rival Gators, who have beaten the Noles six straight times. The Seminoles are 2.5 point favorites at home on Saturday afternoon.

FSU might be paying more attention to the duel in College Park, where the NC State Wolfpack are going to face the Maryland Terrapins. Should the Terps win this game, the Noles will be going to the ACC Championship Game to face the Virginia Tech Hokies, while a win for the Wolfpack will put them in the title game for the first time in school history. The visitors are 2.5 point favorites.

The Backyard Brawl should be a good one this year, as the West Virginia Mountaineers and Pitt Panthers are going to be fighting for the catbird’s seat in the Big East. The winner will have a shot to win the conference and crack the Top 25, while the loser is going to be in awful trouble for a quality bowl game. The hosts are favored by 2.5 points, but when the ‘total’ comes out, be careful about backing the ‘over’. There are a few high school games being played the day before and the weather might not be fantastic at Heinz Field.

The Big Ten is going to be a mess this weekend, as there are a number of opportunities for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, and Michigan State Spartans to make it to the Rose Bowl. Wisky is the team that probably is in the best shape, but it can’t do anything right now without the Buckeyes giving it a hand. If OSU loses to the Michigan Wolverines, the Spartans are going to be in the driver’s seat. The Badgers will win the conference though, if all three teams win. They are favored by 23 points at home against the Northwestern Wildcats. Ohio State is favored by 17 points over Big Blue, while the Spartans are slender two point choices at Happy Valley against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

The biggest favorites on the board this weekend in NCAA football betting action is the TCU Horned Frogs. They need to win this game against the New Mexico Lobos in fine fashion to have any chance of staying in front of the Boise State Broncos in the BCS rankings. The Lobos are 43.5 point pups on the afternoon, while Boise State, who is visiting the Nevada Wolf Pack, is favored by 13.5 points.

The Big XII South is down to just two teams, and Bedlam is going be a heck of a showdown this year in Stillwater. The Oklahoma Sooners have played down to the level of their competition all season long, but they are going to need this one in a big way to win the Big XII and to potentially set up a duel with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big XII Championship Game. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are going to be getting in the way, though. They have had a fantastic season and might be primed for something huge. A ‘W’ as 2.5 point favorites at home will send the Pokes to the Big XII title game.

However, no weekend like this would be complete without discussing the game that people have been dying to make college football picks on all season long. The Alabama Crimson Tide, last year’s National Champions, are going to be hosting the Auburn Tigers, the No. 2 team in the country. Auburn really hasn’t done a lot on the road this year, as it has only played three games against subpar opponents. Its defense has really struggled for the majority of the year as well. However, the bottom line is that “0″ sitting in the Tigers’ loss column right now, and regardless of how good the Crimson Tide really are, they have two losses and know that they need some help to go to a BCS bowl game. The oddsmakers are showing all sorts of faith in the hosts in this one, as they are 4.5 point favorites in spite of the fact that Auburn has so much more to play for in the Iron Bowl.

As the NFL season winds down with just a few more weeks in the regular season, we bring to you a broader look at the playoff picture. There are a ton of teams whose destiny is still undecided and we will try to break down what each team needs to do to have a shot at the post season. Keep checking back here at Bankroll Sports, as this will be a weekly edition of the 2009 NFL Playoff Picture.

NFC Conference

NFC East:

Dallas Cowboys (8-3) – The Cowboys have taken advantage of the Eagles and Giants struggling giving their self a little breathing room in the division, but they still must finish strong which has been the problem over the past few years. Dallas gets New York this week with a tough remaining schedule. The division is still up for grabs, but a win against the Giants would about guarantee a wildcard spot in the worst of scenarios.

Philadelphia Eagles (7-4) – The Eagles have knocked off two straight close victories and are right in the midst of the division race. Luckily the Eagles have some teams on the schedule who have been experiencing struggles and there is plenty of room to finish strong. The only question is the Eagles have had troubles as well. In most scenarios they will need to win at least 3 of the last 5 to better their chances

New York Giants (6-5) – If the season ended today the Giants would be out of the playoffs after losing 5 of their last 6 games. To make matters worse, New York gets the top dogs in the division with Dallas and Philadelphia next on the schedule. The Giants have to get hot and anything less than winning 3 of the next 5 will have them watching the postseason at home.

Washington Redskins – Out

NFC North:

Minnesota Vikings (10-1) – The Vikings may be functioning as well as any team in the league right now. Brett Farve has found a star in WR Sidney Rice and with Peterson combining efforts on the ground this team is scary. The Vikings need just 1 more win to clinch the division which should be no problem

Green Bay Packers (7-4) – The Packers have won 3 games in a row and need to stay rolling. They would actually make the playoffs through a wild card spot as of right now, but they can not afford any slip-ups. The Packers offense will have to get the job done against some of the tough AFC defenses with meetings with Baltimore and Pittsburgh on the horizon.

Chicago Bears (4-7) – The Bears could win out and flirt with the idea of making the playoffs in a miraculous turn of events. However, they have too many issues to put together any big time run. With that being said, scratch Chicago from the postseason.

Detroit Lions (2-9) – Out

NFC South:

New Orleans Saints (11-0) – The Saints are already in the playoffs and who would have thought they would be this dominate? We expected to have a breakout season based on our preseason previews, but I do not think anyone would have expected them to be 11-0. After a blowout against the Patriots, is a Lombardi Trophy a legitimate opportunity?

Atlanta Falcons (6-5) – The Falcons chances of making the playoffs keep diminishing each week as they have lost 4 of the last 6. The Falcons get Philadelphia and New Orleans next, but a chance to end the year strong with some very winnable games. If they get 3 wins they would need help, but 4 would really do the trick.

Carolina Panthers (4-7) – Coach John Fox is probably looking more forward to the off-season than anyone. The Panthers have major problems and it all starts behind center. Again this is a meltdown we predicted with Jake Delhomme and the Panthers will finish right where we predicted at 3rd in the NFC South.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-10) – Out

NFC West:

Arizona Cardinals (7-4) – The Cardinals appear to be in the captain’s seat again to take advantage of perhaps the weakest division in the NFL at 7-4. The Cardinals still have some winnable games and some tough match-ups left on the schedule. Another loss to San Francisco would really make the division race interesting at that battle will follow their meeting with the Vikings this week. If the Cardinals can not win the division, they may not make the playoffs.

San Francisco 49ers (5-6) – So how can the 49ers legitimately be in the playoff race at 5-6? Well the Cardinals play Minnesota this week and they get their chance at Arizona in two weeks. If they hand the Cardinals another loss they will hold the tie breaker heads up. Luckily for the 49ers, every game left on the schedule can be won. Winning 3 of the last 5 including Arizona could be all they need.

Seattle Seahawks – Out
St. Louis Rams – Out

AFC

AFC East:

New England Patriots (7-4) – The Patriots were embarrassed last week by the Saints, but fortunately it will take a lot more embarrassment for them to be knocked out of the AFC East ranks as they have a two game lead in the division. With a soft schedule ahead, the Patriots should be sizeable favorites in every game and have the possibility to run the table.

Miami Dolphins (5-6) – Just when it looked like the Dolphins were going to make a run they were blown out by Buffalo of all teams. The Dolphins now get the angry Patriots next and close out with Pittsburgh in the finale. The Dolphins do not have a lot of room for improvement and the odds are definitely stacked against them.

New York Jets (5-6) – The only thing official about the Jets is that they are headed in the wrong direction. After a promising start with Sanchez behind center, the offense is having trouble scoring. Plus the defense is not near as strong as they were playing earlier this season. No chance here.

Buffalo Bills (4-7) – Out

AFC North:

Cincinnati Bengals (8-3) – The emergence of the Bengals has the entire AFC North turned upside down. Both Baltimore and Pittsburgh will be fighting for wild card spots as long as they can win at least two more games. With meetings with the Lions, Jets, and Chiefs still remaining it appears that Cincinnati’s odds are good. However, how will they stack up in the post season?

Baltimore Ravens (6-5) – The Ravens kept their postseason hopes alive with their overtime win over the Steelers last week. The only problems is they may have to do it again as the next meeting in week 16 could determine the team that makes it in as a wildcard. The Ravens have some very winnable games upcoming which should make things a little less stressful. However, there is absolutely no room for mistakes.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) – The Steelers will have every opportunity to bounce back with the likes of Cleveland and Oakland next up on the schedule. Pittsburgh could make it in at 9-7 with a win over Baltimore, but to be safe 10 wins would be ideal in this scenario.

Cleveland Browns – Out

AFC South

Indianapolis Colts (11-0) – The Colts have already clinched the AFC South and are just one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL. The Colts wins have not been near as dominating as the Saints, but their defense will make the prime candidate for a deep run in the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars (6-5) – The Jaguars meeting with the Texans this week is a must win game. Dropping back to 6-6 would make things extremely difficult with both the Colts and Patriots remaining on the schedule. Even if you count those two as losses, the Jaguars can still finish a solid 9-7 which puts them right in the thick of the hunt. However, they have had trouble beaten the teams they should beat.

Houston Texans (5-6) – Even at 5-6, the Texans still have a chance with the way the AFC picture is shaping out. Houston has lost 3 straight games by a combined 14 points including two losses to the undefeated Colts. They are actually not playing bad and they may be a pretty safe pick to make a run at the postseason. The schedule helps that opportunity, but the defense will be the deciding factor.

Tennessee Titans (5-6) – Talk about the “wow” factor. Ever since Vince Young took over behind center the Titans have roared with a new wave of conference going from 0-6 to 5-6 with 5 straight wins. The question is could they do the unthinkable and run the table? The Colts may say no this weekend, but if they could find a way to get the upset the rest of the table is very soft. Tennessee has every opportunity to finish with 9 wins if they can keep the momentum alive.

AFC West

San Diego Chargers (8-3) – The Chargers have come alive over the latter part of the season and have won 6 straight games. The running game is finally moving the ball at least a little and Phillip Rivers has done the rest. With the Broncos back pedaling, the Chargers look to be the team to beat in the division.

Denver Broncos (7-4) – The Broncos have now lost 4 of their last 5, but as it turns out they are still in the number 1 spot for the wild card position if things ended today. Kyle Orton has to get back the swagger from earlier in the year and get the offense back rolling. The Broncos chances look good even if they are not playing that well. Two matches with Kansas City and an additional battle with Oakland put 10 wins as the primary goal. However, the Broncos could finish even better.

Kansas City Chiefs (3-8) – Out
Oakland Raiders (3-8) – Out

If you can remember week 11 was highlighted by the underdogs that went 10-5 ATS regaining their stronghold over the favorites. However, one week and a few turkeys later the favorites roared back with a 9-5-1 ATS mark in week 12. Perhaps on an even more impressive run were the home teams that dominated the week. Dallas and Denver captured convincing wins at home on Thanksgiving Day and the trend continued throughout the weekend as home teams were a stout 13-3 SU. However, the home teams were again under the .500 mark against the spread for the second straight week going 6-8-1 ATS. Not all home teams struggles considering the home favorites were 6-3-1 ATS. One of the interesting factors that intrigued us heading into the week was the number of close games favored by a field goal or less. In those game, the favorites were 5-1-1 ATS. Also, if you remember correctly we have been warning for the possible upcoming trend with the under totals. In week 11, that trend finally hit with under totals out weighing the over totals 9-4-1. The trend continued this week again as the under totals were 10-5 vs. over totals as defenses have taken over as normal in the latter part of the season. In fact, there is not a single total this week over the 47 mark making it one of the lowest predicted scoring weeks of the season. As far as the rest of week 13 NFL lines, the majority of the home teams (7-5) will actually be underdogs for the first time in about two months of football. There are two pick’em contests on the board which could change before kickoff time in contests involving San Francisco at Seattle and Houston at Jacksonville. Some other interesting week 13 games involve Dallas attempting to take total control of the NFC East at the New York Giants and also the red hot Titans who will try to knock Indianapolis off the unbeaten ranks.
