The 2012 FedEx 400 odds are going to be contested this weekend, and here at Bankroll Sports, we are taking a close look at the odds to win the FedEx 400, and making our FedEx 400 race predictions!

2012 FedEx 400 Odds, Picks & Info
2012 FedEx 400 Date: Sunday, June 3rd, 2012
2012 FedEx 400 Green Flag Time: 1:15 ET
2012 FedEx 400 Location: Dover International Speedway, Dover, DE
2012 FedEx 400 Favorite: Jimmie Johnson (+550)
Defending FedEx 400 Champion: Matt Kenseth
2012 FedEx 400 Coverage – Network: FOX

The FedEx 400 defending champion is Matt Kenseth (Current Dover FedEx 400 Odds: 9.50 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Kenseth has had quite the interesting last 18 races here in Dover. He has 13 Top 10 finishes, but he also has four DNFs in those 18 runs. It’s quite interesting to say the least, as there aren’t any drivers that have that many Top 10 finishes in the last 18 races at Dover, but there are none of the serious contenders that have more DNFs either. Is this a good sign or a bad sign? We tend to think that this is going to be a man to watch for sure, especially knowing that Kenseth has six Top 5 finishes in the 12 races this year.

List Of Past FedEx 400 Champions (Since 2000)
2011 – Matt Kenseth
2010 – Kyle Busch
2009 – Jimmie Johnson
2008 – Kyle Busch
2007 – Martin Truex Jr.
2006 – Matt Kenseth
2005 – Greg Biffle
2004 – Mark Martin
2003 – Ryan Newman
2002 – Jimmie Johnson
2001 – Jeff Gordon
2000 – Tony Stewart

The man that has the best history here in Dover of late is Carl Edwards (Dover FedEx 400 Lines: 9 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Granted, Edwards only has one win in the last 15 races here at Dover, but he has an average finishing position of 7.7, making him the only serious driver that has an average of a Top 10 finish on this track. There are a heck of a lot of other drivers that have a ton of Top 10 finishes, but Edwards having 11 Top 10s in 15 tries is quite the feat. Of course, this year, consistency has been a major problem for Edwards. He is in the Chase for the Sprint Cup at the moment, but he is dangerously close to the cut off line. Still, this might be the track that Edwards gets over the top and gets back on track in the 2012 season.

But of course, the man that has the best shot of winning this race on Sunday in all likelihood is the favorite, Jimmie Johnson (Odds To Win FedEx 400: 9 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). The No. 48 is trying to get back in the saddle as one of the top contenders in the Sprint Cup after finally getting knocked off of his pedestal last year, and he is doing a great job doing so. JJ only has one win this year at the Bojangles Southern 500, but he also won the NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race. He has just one finish outside of the Top 12 since the season-opening race at the Daytona 500, and that was a DNF at the Aaron’s 499. Johnson has been on a fantastic run, and he just loves running at Dover International Speedway, where he has four victories over the course of his last 13 races on this track. No driver has these types of accolades here at Dover.

Wager Web

The NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader right now is Greg Biffle (FedEx 400 Betting Odds: 9 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Biffle won this race in 2005, and he has a win this year at the Samsung Mobile 500 this year. Sure, Biffle really hasn’t been winning a ton of races, but to see all of these Top 10 finishes makes it hard to ignore just how great of a racer he really is. Save for the Capital City 400, Biffle has finished 13th or better in every single race this year, and for as long as this stays the case, there is no reason not to want to back him on the NASCAR betting lines on a weekly basis.

The boys of NASCAR will be heading to Fontana, California this weekend, as 43 of the best and brightest drivers in the world try to make for great Auto Club 400 picks. But before you bet on the Auto Club 400 betting lines, be sure to check out our analysis for the race!

2012 Auto Club 400 Predictions & Info
2012 Auto Club 400 Date: Sunday, March 25th, 2012
2012 Auto Club 400 Location: Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, CA
Defending Auto Club 400 Winner: Kevin Harvick
2012 Auto Club 400 TV Coverage – Network: FOX

This could be the week that Jimmie Johnson (Current Auto Club 400 Odds: 5 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook) really gets the job done. JJ has been running well of late, accounting for four straight Top 10 finishes. Now, he heads to Fontana, where he has a great history, finishing in the Top 10 in nine of his 10 races that he has run in his career on this track. Hendrick Motorsports has a great history on this track as well, as Jeff Gordon also has a great chance of taking the checkered flag. That being said, of the two Hendrick cars that are likely to be in the running come the end of the night on Sunday, we think that JJ is the better choice, especially knowing that he has to be running like wild to try to get back to the top of the Sprint Cup standings in the near future.

The man that took the checkered flag in the first race of the year here at Fontana last year was Kevin Harvick (2012 Auto Club 400 Odds: 8.50 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Harvick hasn’t had a finish worse than 11th this whole season, and he is going to be well on his way to the Chase for the Sprint Cup once again this year in all likelihood. Fontana is a place in which he has raced quite well in his career, taking a win, three Top 5s, and eight Top 10s in 18 races. Harvick is just nine points back of the lead in the Sprint Cup standings, and he is going to do everything that he can right now to try to get the job done at Auto Club Speedway.

List Of Past Auto Club 400 Winners (Since 2000)
2011 – Kevin Harvick
2010 – Jimmie Johnson
2009 – Matt Kenseth
2008 – Carl Edwards
2007 – Matt Kenseth
2006 – Matt Kenseth
2005 – Greg Biffle
2004 – Jeff Gordon
2003 – Kurt Busch
2002 – Jimmy Johnson
2001 – Rusty Wallace
2000 – Jeremy Mayfield

Looking back at the history of this race, it is clear to see why Matt Kenseth (Odds To Win the 2012 Auto Club 400: 10 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook) is one of the favorites to take the checkered flag once again at the Auto Club 400. He hasn’t won this race since 2009, but he does have three victories since 2006, easily the most of any driver on the Sprint Cup circuit. Kenseth does already have one victory this year, and there could be a heck of a lot more where that came from. A ‘W’ in this race, and he is going to really have the edge on the rest of the field in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

2012 Auto Club 400 Starting Grid

1: Denny Hamlin (11)
2: Kyle Busch (18)

13: Martin Truex, Jr. (56)
14: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (88)

21: Jeff Gordon (24)
22: Regan Smith (78)
23: Kurt Busch (51)
24: Juan Pablo Montoya (42)
25: AJ Allmendinger (22)

39: Mike Bliss (19)
40: Travis Kvapil (93)
41: David Gilliland (38)
42: Ken Schrader (32)
43: Reed Sorenson (74)

Sitting on the pole for this one is Denny Hamlin (2012 Auto Club 400 Betting Lines: 6 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Hamlin has had some good runs this year, finishing fourth at the Daytona 500 and winning the Subway Fresh Fit 500, but there is definitely some work that he needs to do to get back towards the top of the Sprint Cup standings. Back to back 20th place finishes haven’t helped matters any, but his good qualifying efforts and strong practice runs have us thinking that he is going to be one of the big time drivers sticking around at the end of this race.

NASCAR betting fans: We’re back with another fantastic race this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, as 43 of the best drivers in the world look to make for great Ford 400 picks and the Chase for the Sprint Cup continues!

2011 Ford 400 Odds, Picks & Info
2011 Ford 400 Date: Sunday, November 20th, 2011
2011 Ford 400 Green Flag Time: 3:15 ET
2011 Ford 400 Location: Homestead-Miami Speedway, Homestead, FL
2011 Ford 400 Favorite: Tony Stewart (+475)
Defending Ford 400 Champion: Carl Edwards
2011 Ford 400 TV Coverage – Network: ESPN

There are only two drivers that are still in the running to win the Sprint Cup, and if either driver takes the checkered flag in this, the last race of the year, they will have won NASCAR’s biggest prize. We’ll start with the current points leader and the defending champion of this race, Carl Edwards (Odds to Win the Ford 400: 5.25 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). What we do like about Edwards is that he has been incredibly consistent during the Chase for the Sprint Cup. He hasn’t finished worse than 11th in a race since August 21st, and he has back to back second place finishes in races and five Top 5s in his last eight races. Edwards is as due as due could be for a checkered flag, something that he hasn’t had since way back on March 6th. With two wins under his belt in the last three years on this track, we just love Edwards’ chances on Sunday.

And then there is Tony Stewart (Current Ford 400 Odds: 4.75 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). “Smoke” won this race both in 1999 and 2000, but he hasn’t been victorious as the owner of his own car. Stewart already has four wins during the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and he has finished 8th or better in all but two of the nine races. That ugly 25th place finish at the AAA 400 is the only thing separating Stewart from running away from the rest of the field, and it is amazing to think that he still has a chance of claiming the Sprint Cup with a win. Don’t be surprised either if he gets the job done and claims glory for the first time since 2005 and for the third time in his career.

List Of Past Ford 400 Champions (Since 2000)
2010 Ford 400 Winner: Carl Edwards
2009 Ford 400 Winner: Denny Hamlin
2008 Ford 400 Winner: Carl Edwards
2007 Ford 400 Winner: Matt Kenseth
2006 Ford 400 Winner: Greg Biffle
2005 Ford 400 Winner: Greg Biffle
2004 Ford 400 Winner: Greg Biffle
2003 Ford 400 Winner: Bobby Labonte
2002 Ford 400 Winner: Kurt Busch
2001 Ford 400 Winner: Bill Elliott
2000 Ford 400 Winner: Tony Stewart

As great as it would be to see these two aforementioned drivers running neck and neck down the stretch on Sunday in the final laps for the race and for the entire Sprint Cup, the NASCAR odds have it that someone else is going to win this race. The man that we are going to be keeping a very close eye on is one that has had quite the frustrating season, Greg Biffle (Ford 400 Lines: 11 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). History is definitely on Biffle’s side having won this race three times in his career, in consecutive years no less, and it could really take away the sting from what has otherwise been a fairly disappointing season with no victories and only three Top 5 finishes.

Defending TUMS Fast Relief 500 Champion: Denny Hamlin
2011 TUMS Fast Relief 500 TV Coverage – Network: ESPN

The Chase for the Championship is starting to wind down, and it is a wonder whether there is going to be too much more movement or not. In spite of the fact that he is in 11th place and seems to be out of contention, a win this week would be just what the doctor ordered for Denny Hamlin (Odds to Win the Martinsville 500: 6 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Hamlin is 84 points back, and without a real collapse by a number of drivers, he’s just not going to be able to make it all the way back to the top of the mountain. He hasn’t raced well in the Chase, not finishing better than 7th since the Irwin Tools Night Race in August. However, results are getting better and better. Hamlin finished 31st at the GEICO 400, and from that point forward, he finished 29th, 18th, 16th, 9th, and then 8th last week at the Good Sam Club 500.

The man that made a really, really big push last week towards the top of the charts was Brad Keselowski (Current Martinsville 500 Odds: 20 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). The Jet Ski is 18 points back, but he is in third place, in front of a whole heck of a lot of drivers that probably thought that he was a totally dead member of the Chase. Since July 31st though, Keselowski has been the best driver on the Sprint Cup circuit. He has two wins, seven Top 5s, and 10 Top 10 finishes in 13 races. He has yet to win a race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, but if Keselowski is going to make his move, he’s going to do it here at Martinsville.

There hasn’t been a driver in a Ford win this race since 2002, as Hendrick Motorsports has truly dominated, winning races from 2003 through 2008 before Hamlin took over and won in 2009 and 2010. That being said, if there is a Ford that is going to be able to break the hex, it has to be Carl Edwards (Martinsville 500 Lines: 17 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook). Edwards only has one win all season long, and that was way back in March, but he has turned in the most consistent performance amongst drivers all season long. The No. 99 had nine Top 10 finishes in 10 races in the Spring, and he now has finished in 11th or better in nine straight races. If he can hang this close to the top of the pack, we have to keep taking these types of NASCAR odds on Edwards.

2011 Good Sam Club 500 Odds, Picks & Info
2011 Good Sam Club 500 Date: Sunday, October 23rd, 2011
2011 Good Sam Club 500 Green Flag Time: 2:14 ET
2011 Good Sam Club 500 Location: Talladega Super Speedway, Talladega, AL
2011 Good Sam Club 500 Favorite: Kevin Harvick (+1000)
Defending Good Sam Club 500 Champion: Clint Bowyer
2011 Good Sam Club 500 TV Coverage – Network: ESPN

Talladega 500 OddsWith the Chase for the Sprint Cup continuing, we have to wonder whether this is finally the race in which Jimmie Johnson (Odds to Win the Good Sam Club 500: 12.75 to 1 at SportBet Sportsbook) finally gets back in the Chase. The five-time defending champion is in a ton of trouble, as he is 35 points off the pace with just five races to go, and even if he wins all five races, he won’t be a lock to win. Last week’s terrible run at the Bank of America 500 was devastating, but if there is a driver that can overcome this type of a deficit to win the championship, this is it.

The man who is in second place right now in the Chase is also the favorite to win the Good Sam Club 500, Kevin Harvick (Current Good Sam Club 500 Odds: 10 to 1 at JustBet Sportsbook). Harvick has five points to close on the lead for the Chase, and he knows that this is probably the best chance that he has of making headway for the rest of the season. Harvick hasn’t finished worse than 12th in a race since the start of September, and he won the Wonderful Pistachios 400 in that stretch as well. Could he get the job done at Talladega? We won’t bet against it.

List Of Past Good Sam Club 500 Champions (Since 2000)
2010 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Clint Bowyer
2009 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Jamie McMurray
2008 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Tony Stewart
2007 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Jeff Gordon
2006 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Brian Vickers
2005 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Dale Jarrett
2004 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
2003 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Michael Waltrip
2002 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
2001 Good Sam Club 500 Winner: Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Finally, we’re willing to take a stab on the 2008 winner of this race, Tony Stewart (Good Sam Club 500 Lines: 12 to 1 at JustBet Sportsbook). Stewart has always run well at superspeedways, and he has a legit chance in this one of cutting into the 25 point deficit he has at the top of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Stewart has been sort of a mixed bag of results of late. He won the first two races in the Chase, but since that point, he has finished 25th, 15th, and 8th, and the 8th place performance came after starting on the poll at the Bank of America 500. Still, Smoke is as good as any other driver out there, and he should be in contention the whole way.

NASCAR betting fans: We’re back with another fantastic race this weekend at Dover International Speedway, as 43 of the best drivers in the world look to make for great AAA 400 picks and the Chase for the Sprint Cup continues!

Defending AAA 400 Champion: Jimmie Johnson

After taking down the first two races in the Chase for the Championship, there is just no way that we can ignore just how good Tony Stewart (Odds to Win the AAA 400: 8 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook) has truly been. “Smoke” still probably doesn’t believe that he is the driver to beat in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, but he definitely has done well enough in these first two races to be considered a legitimate threat when push comes to shove. The problem for Stewart? He has only averaged finishing at 12.5 at this track in his career, and though he has a pair of wins at Dover, that isn’t nearly as good as some of the other contenders around him.

For example, there’s a reason why Jimmie Johnson (Current AAA 400 Odds: 6 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook) is the man that is favored to win this race. He was not just the winner of the AAA 400 last year, but he is the two time defending champion. In total, Johnson has won six races at Dover dating back to 2002, four of which have come in the race late in the season. We keep waiting for the No. 48 to wake up and take his place near the top of the Sprint Cup standings, and it has yet to happen. Though the No. 48 won’t be on top when this weekend is all said and done with, he can really put the threat into the rest of the drivers in the field by taking the checkered flag at a racetrack he has dominated over the years.

List Of Past AAA 400 Champions (Since 2000)
2010 AAA 400 Winner: Jimmie Johnson
2009 AAA 400 Winner: Jimmie Johnson

2006 AAA 400 Winner: Jeff Burton
2005 AAA 400 Winner: Jimmie Johnson
2004 AAA 400 Winner: Ryan Newman

2002 AAA 400 Winner: Jimmie Johnson
2001 AAA 400 Winner: Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
2000 AAA 400 Winner: Tony Stewart

And then there’s Brad Keselowski (AAA 400 Lines: 15 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook)… We still think that the Jet Ski has a legitimate chance of winning the Sprint Cup this season, and we know that he has some real potential at this track. Sure, he only has an average finishing position of 17.7 in his races here, and he did only finish 13th in the May race here, but we just can’t ignore this man’s form right now. Keselowski has had nine straight finishes in the Top 12, and he darn near won again last week at the Sylvania 300. Don’t be surprised if the shocker heads to Victory Lane again this week.

NASCAR betting fans: We’re back with another fantastic race this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as 43 of the best drivers in the world look to make for great Sylvania 300 picks and the Chase for the Sprint Cup continues!

2011 Sylvania 300 Odds, Picks & Info
2011 Sylvania 300 Date: Sunday, September 25th, 2011
2011 Sylvania 300 Green Flag Time: 2:14 ET
2011 Sylvania 300 Location: New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, NH
2011 Sylvania 300 Favorite: Jimmie Johnson (+625)
Defending Sylvania 300 Champion: Clint Bowyer
2011 Sylvania 300 TV Coverage – Network: ESPN

The Sylvania 300 is one of the newer races on the NASCAR circuit, having only been around since 1997. That being said, some of the biggest names in the sport have won here, including this year’s favorite, Jimmie Johnson (Odds to Win the Sylvania 300: 6.25 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook). Johnson actually hasn’t won this race since 2003, which is surprising considering how dominating he has been in the Chase for the Sprint Cup in years past. Johnson didn’t race that well last week at Chicagoland Speedway, and with 16 points to make up and seven cars to pass with nine races to go, we know that Johnson needs to step on the gas, and this is the perfect track to do that at.

We just narrowly missed last week at Chicagoland with Kevin Harvick (Current Sylvania 300 Odds: 8.50 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook), but we’re going to take another chance with him this week in Loudon. Harvick has finished 1st and 2nd in his last two races, and he is leading the Chase for the Sprint Cup for the time being. He didn’t have a good run in the first race of the year at New Hampshire, finishing 21st and never really getting anything going, but on the relatively short tracks, we have confidence that Harvick can continue to stay at the top of his game and march on towards challenging for the Sprint Cup.

List Of Past Sylvania 300 Champions (Since 2000)
2010 Sylvania 300 Winner: Clint Bowyer
2009 Sylvania 300 Winner: Mark Martin
2008 Sylvania 300 Winner: Greg Biffle
2007 Sylvania 300 Winner: Clint Bowyer
2006 Sylvania 300 Winner: Kevin Harvick
2005 Sylvania 300 Winner: Ryan Newman
2004 Sylvania 300 Winner: Kurt Busch
2003 Sylvania 300 Winner: Jimmie Johnson
2002 Sylvania 300 Winner: Ryan Newman
2001 Sylvania 300 Winner: Robby Gordon
2000 Sylvania 300 Winner: Jeff Burton

If there is absolutely no justice in racing, the man that will take the checkered flag in this race is the same man that took it last year. Of course, Clint Bowyer (Sylvania 300 Lines: 17 to 1 at 5Dimes Sportsbook) was docked 150 points after winning this race last season thanks to illegal car modifications. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a very comfortable track for Bowyer to run at, as he does have a pair of wins at Loudon. This is probably the most feared driver for the rest of the pack in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and Bowyer is probably one of the few that legitimately have a chance to win this race outside of the Top 12.
