Thanks to a slew of injuries that have happened over the course of the last few weeks, the NFL betting odds for Week 13 are only slowly trickling out. There are several games that are still off the board, but if you check back later this week, we will have the NFL lines posted for all 16 games on the rotation schedule.

The Thursday nighter between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks is a de facto elimination game if both teams haven’t already been booted from the second season. QB Michael Vick’s status is up in the air with his injured ribs, as are both WR Jeremy Maclin and WR Sidney Rice. This one will be off the board until all of those injury situations are worked out.

The Cincinnati Bengals are going to get another shot to prove that they are legitimate this week when they go on the road to Heinz Field to try to tango with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We know that the men in black and gold are going to be heavily favored in this one, especially knowing that it really could basically lock up a playoff spot with a win to earn the season split, but we don’t know just by how many points the Steelers will be getting the nod.

Another team in the thick of the AFC playoff race, the Houston Texans are off the board against the surging Atlanta Falcons. These two teams both badly need this game, though it is more important for Atlanta than Houston, as the latter has a two-game cushion in the AFC South. The big problem for the Texans is that it is likely going to be QB TJ Yates making his first career start in just his second career game. Both QB Matt Schaub and QB Matt Leinart were lost in a span of just about 60 minutes of game time.

Two of Sunday’s marquee games are also off the board at the moment thanks to the oddsmakers waiting to see what happens on Monday Night Football. The New York Giants take on the Green Bay Packers in a battle of two of the best teams in the NFC, and playoff positioning will also be crucial on Sunday Night Football when the New Orleans Saints host the struggling Detroit Lions.

As far as the games that are on the board at the moment, we have to look at the ridiculously big favorites that are posted. We knew that the Indianapolis Colts were going to be tremendous pups at some point this year, and this is the game in which it is going to happen. They are 21 point underdogs on the road at the New England Patriots, the biggest point spread of the year. (To make matters worse, they might find themselves as three TD underdogs next week against the Baltimore Ravens as well!) We haven’t seen an NFL betting line quite like this one since the Pats were in the midst of their perfect regular season in 2007, and it seems fitting that it is now QB Tom Brady and the gang that are once again laying three scores.

The San Francisco 49ers might be celebrating being the first team in the playoffs this week. A win over the St. Louis Rams at home, and the Niners can fly that division banner in the NFC West in 2011. It comes as no surprise that the struggling Rams are 13.5 point dogs on the road, halfway across the country. San Fran knows that it can’t afford too many more slips like it had last week on Thanksgiving if it wants to have a first round bye in the playoffs.

The AFC playoff picture is cloudy at best right now, but things should be a heck of a lot more clear when this week is said and done with.

The Oakland Raiders, the leaders in the AFC West, are slender one point dogs on Sunday on the road at the Miami Dolphins. The Fins have been stingy, playing essentially six straight very good games, and they would love to continue to play the role of the spoilers. Oakland is a short one-point dog on Sunday, and that means that it will probably be in a position to lose the AFC West lead to the Denver Broncos, who visit the Minnesota Vikings in yet another game that is currently off the board.

The biggest game of the day might be when the Tennessee Titans clash with the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is two back with five to play, and it is in a good spot to make up a game on the Bengals this week. The Bills are getting the nod by 1.5 points over the Tennessee Titans, who might need to win out to catch the Texans for the lead in the AFC South.

The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets are both in tricky spots on the road this week, but both really could use ‘W’s to keep control of their own destinies in the postseason picture. Baltimore is laying a TD at the Cleveland Browns, while the Jets are -3.5 in Landover against the Washington Redskins.

In other action on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys are -6 at the struggling Arizona Cardinals, the Chicago Bears are -7.5 in what could be the first game for QB Kyle Orton as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs (ironically, back in the Windy City, a place he called home for a number of years before being traded), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are -3.5 in an NFC South clash at home against the Carolina Panthers.

On Monday Night Football, the San Diego Chargers are -3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a battle of two teams that likely have already been eliminated from postseason contention.

Week 14 of the 2011 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. And it all comes down to this… There is just one week left in which teams will battle it out on the college football odds, and after that, all of the bowl games, the BCS, and the National Championship Game will be settled once and for all.

Of course, all eyes are going to be on the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship Game this week. This is clearly a game between two of the best teams in the country, as the LSU Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs have won 23 straight games between them. The Bayou Bengals, who have dominated virtually every single team that they have faced this year, are favored by just 11, the smallest margin by which they have been favored since taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant Denny Stadium. Georgia hasn’t been a dog of this size all season long, and it has already proven that it can take down a team of somewhat similar stature when it played with the Boise State Broncos in the first week of the season in this very venue.

This isn’t nearly the only game this week in which there will be a major conference title on the line.

Even before we get started on Saturday with all of the great games, three conference champions could be crowned. The West Virginia Mountaineers need to beat the NCAA football odds on Thursday in their finale against the South Florida Bulls to have a shot at making it to the Orange Bowl as the Big East champs. Should South Florida win this game though, it will have a chance to go to a bowl game, which it won’t be doing with a defeat. These two teams have historically played some interesting games, especially right here at Raymond James Stadium. WVU is getting the very slight 1.5 point nod on the opening odds.

On Friday, the MAC Championship Game takes place, as the Northern Illinois Huskies and Ohio Bobcats battle it out to determine which team will win this conference. This game at Ford Field is always one of the more exciting duels of the year, as there are seemingly always a ton of points. There are some great athletes in this game, namely NIU QB Chandler Harnish. He is the reason why the Huskies are favored by 3.5.

The other game on Friday is the first annual Pac-12 Championship Game. The Oregon Ducks are huge 31 point favorites at home against a UCLA Bruins team that seems to be rather hapless at this point. UCLA was knocked off by 50 on the road at the USC Trojans last week, and a loss in this one would force a petition for the Pac-12 South representatives just to be involved in the postseason.

And then we have the rest of the great games on Saturday… Either the Syracuse Orange or the Pittsburgh Panthers will be bowl eligible this year depending on which team ends up winning when the two teams meet one another. Neither team has been that great this year, but the Panthers seem to be the better of the two, and that’s why they are favored by 12.5.

Teams will be making their BCS cases in the Big XII the whole day on Saturday. The Kansas State Wildcats are favored by 11 at home against a suddenly stingy set of Iowa State Cyclones, who have played back to back solid games. Meanwhile, the Baylor Bears will take on the Texas Longhorns in an effort to get into the Top 14 in the BCS rankings as well. The latter game is off the board due to the fact that QB Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion last week and is still very much so up in the air for Saturday’s home finale.

Of course, it all means absolutely nothing should the Oklahoma Sooners beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Bedlam. This is the de facto Big XII Championship Game, as the winner will certainly be on its way to the BCS as the league champion. Oklahoma State would keep its title hopes alive, and QB Brandon Weeden would have his Heisman Trophy hopes renewed as well. There is a question as to whether the Cowboys are in the BCS regardless of what happens in this game, but they certainly will end up with a better case than a Kansas State team that they beat a few weeks ago or a Baylor team that has three losses. The host Cowboys are favored by a field goal.

The Big East will finally be decided when the Cincinnati Bearcats take on the Connecticut Huskies in the final game in the conference of the year. The Bearcats will know whether they are playing for their own destiny or that of the Mountaineers before they kick it off on Saturday. Should WVU win, Cincinnati is going to have nothing to play for but bowl positioning. a win would send the Mountaineers to the Orange Bowl, while a loss would let the Louisville Cardinals go. If WVU loses, the Bearcats will be in the BCS with a win, and Louisville would go with a loss. Either way, this game is for UConn’s chances of a bowl game, as the Huskies will be eliminated with a loss, which would finish their season at 5-7.

This week, we have two tremendous underdogs in the Mountain West. The TCU Horned Frogs are favored by 41 points over the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels in what amounts to be nothing but a swan song for the seniors. The Boise State Broncos are the biggest favorites of the season, laying 49 against the lowly New Mexico Lobos. Both of these teams still have a feint chance of winning a spot in the BCS, but both are going to have to win and win impressively if they want to make their cases.

TCU also needs a loss for the Houston Cougars in the Conference USA Championship Game. The Cougs are a win away from being an automatic qualifier for the BCS, and they are 14 point favorites against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. SMS had a great season and would have been in BCS contention with a win in this one as well if not for its loss to the UAB Blazers a few weeks ago.

The other two conference title games are in primetime. In the ACC Championship Game, the Virginia Tech Hokies are favored by a touchdown over the Clemson Tigers, the only team that beat them in the regular season. The winner will go to the Orange Bowl, while the loser is likely going to be in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

And finally in the Big Ten, the Michigan State Spartans will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the first Big Ten Championship Game. Michigan State won this game in the regular season on a Hail Mary in East Lansing, and that is the only reason why this team is in this game. Wisconsin has blown through almost everyone on the schedule this year, including totally blasting the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday to advance to the title game. MSU is getting 10, and the oddsmakers just don’t believe in its chances of heading to the Rose Bowl. The loser is likely headed to the Capital One Bowl, where the Spartans were crippled by the Alabama Crimson Tide last year.

The fourth Thursday of November is this week, and that being said, we have turkeys, stuffing, cranberries, and the best Thanksgiving Day football picks you’ll find on the internet!

The biggest game of all of the Week 12 lines is the NFC North duel between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. These two division rivals have played on Thanksgiving Day a number of times over the course of the last several decades, but this is probably going to be the most important game that these two teams have played on the holiday. This might be the hardest game that the Pack have to play for the rest of the year, but it is clearly the biggest sporting event that the city of Detroit has seen quite some time. Green Bay is getting the nod by six points, while the ‘total’ is set at 55.5, the highest of the weekend.

One of the hottest teams in the land, the Miami Dolphins, have played five straight solid games, including three in a row. They’ll take on another team that has won three straight games, the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has topped the NFC East for the first time this year, and it won’t want to give that up on the holiday. That being said, the Cowboys are only seven point favorites, in a game that, three weeks ago, they probably would have been favored by 10-12.

The night cap pits the San Francisco 49ers against the Baltimore Ravens in the Harbaugh Bowl. These two teams are almost certainly going to be postseason players this year, and believe it or not, there is a legitimate chance that this could be a Super Bowl preview. The Ravens have been a totally different team at home this year than they are on the road, but they are only 3.5 point favorites against a San Fran team that only has one loss this year.

The games on Sunday should be remarkable, as there are a ton of divisional games that should provide some close calls. All of the games are featuring spreads of eight points or fewer, and that game pits the struggling Buffalo Bills against the New York Jets. The loser is going to be in big trouble in the playoff picture in the AFC, as there would be a legitimate possibility to be three games out with just five games to play. Buffalo is in a lot of trouble and is in bad form, and after getting beaten down at home by the Jets just a few weeks back, it is an eight point pup in the Meadowlands.

Elsewhere in the AFC playoff picture, the Houston Texans are going to play their first game without QB Matt Schaub when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is a crucial week for both Houston and for the team chasing it, the Tennessee Titans, as there is a big difference between the potential one game lead that the Texans could have this week, versus the three game lead that is possible as well. The Titans are 3.5 point favorites against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that likely needs to win out to get into the playoffs, while Houston gets the 3.5 point nod at Jacksonville.

The Cincinnati Bengals did prove that they can play with the likes of the Steelers and the Ravens over the course of those last two weeks, but they weren’t able to win either game. Now, they’re back at home in a game that they really should win against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns aren’t that far out of the discussion, and a win would clearly put them back in the thick of things. A loss would give Cincy the season sweep and would effectively knock the Browns out of contention. Cincy is favored by 7.5.

The Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears were both figured to be fringe playoff teams at best this year, but both are firmly in the playoffs right now. QB Carson Palmer has figured out how to take over as the firm starter in the Black Hole, but this will be the first time that Chicago has to go at it with QB Caleb Hanie under center after QB Jay Cutler suffered a broken thumb that will require surgery. Oakland is favored by 4.5.

Elsewhere in the AFC South, the Denver Broncos will face the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium. It’s probably do or die time for the Bolts at home, as they would likely be three back with five to play and in last place in the division with a home loss. QB Tim Tebow is 4-1 as a starter, though it hasn’t been pretty to say the least. San Diego is getting the call by 6.5 on the NFL betting odds.

The Indianapolis Colts might not have many chances to win games this year, but this is one of them. The Carolina Panthers come calling to Lucas Oil Field as 3.5 point favorites, and if Indy loses this one, the prospects of an 0-16 campaign are legitimate.

There are two very important games that are off the board right now on the Week 13 lines. The New England Patriots figure to be short favorites at the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Pittsburgh Steelers are likely going to be short favorites against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

Finally on Monday Night Football, the New Orleans Saints will play host to the suddenly struggling New York Giants. This has been a brutal stretch of games for the G-Men, who have slipped into a first place tie in the NFC East. A loss would bounce New York out of the playoff picture for the moment, at least one game, and potentially two out of the Wild Cards. New Orleans is a perfect 4-0 at home, and it has a great chance to run away and hide from the rest of the division with a win in this one. The Saints are favored by a touchdown.

The second to last week of the college football betting season is going to be as interesting as could be, as there are bowl bids and title bids on the line all over the country.

Last week was a week of a ton of carnage in the Top 10 in the nation, and this week might not be all that much of an exception.

We’ll start right at the very top in the SEC West, where all sorts of stuff could hit the fan. The Auburn Tigers are the ones that can really throw a monkey wrench into the works, as they could ruin the BCS for the SEC, which sits Nos. 1, 2, and 3 right now. The Alabama Crimson Tide will at least punch a ticket to the SEC Championship Game or the National Championship Game in all likelihood with a win in the Iron Bowl on the road. Last year, Bama could have ended the title hopes for the Tigers at home but couldn’t do it. This year, it’s Auburn that is trying to pull off the shocker. The hosts are whopping 20.5 point underdogs, though.

But of course, all eyes, once again, are going to be glued on the LSU Tigers. The Bayou Bengals could probably make the argument with road wins against West Virginia, Oregon (neutral site), and Alabama that they deserve to play for all the marbles regardless of whether they beat the Arkansas Razorbacks or not. We’d venture to say that the SEC West title will be on the line in Baton Rouge on Friday afternoon for the traditional day after Thanksgiving game between LSU and Arkansas. We’ve seen LSU ranked No. 1 in the country at this juncture before, and we’ve seen the Hogs pull off the upset. That being said, we’ve also seen that happen and LSU still be playing for all the marbles, so nothing is definitive yet. For now though, this is the most important game of the season for both teams, and the host Tigers are 13 point favorites.

Don’t think that these are the only two rivalry games going on this week, and they’re certainly not the only games that feature some huge NCAA football point spreads.

The West Virginia Mountaineers and Pitt Panthers hate each other with a passion, and in a Big East title elimination game, the host ‘Neers are favored by 7.5 points. Be careful though, as the underdog has won three of the last four in this series outright.

On Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will square off in the battle of the Peach State. Tech really has rebounded from a few bad games in the middle of the season, and there is no shame in its only loss since that point against the No. 5 team in the land, the Virginia Tech Hokies. Georgia hasn’t been beaten since Week 2 though, and the argument could be made that this team is one of the hottest in America and is deserving of a spot in the Top 10 in the country. UGA may be on the road in this one, but it is still a six point favorite.

As for those Hokies, they’re taking on the suddenly red hot Virginia Cavaliers in a game that is for a heck of a lot more than just instate bragging rights. If by chance the Cavvies can take down V-Tech, the ACC’s bid to the BCS becomes a heck of a lot more interesting. The winner of this game will win the ACC Coastal Division and go on to play the Clemson Tigers for the bid to the Orange Bowl next week. The Hokies are laying 5.5 on the road in Charlottesville, but UVA proved just how dangerous it can be last week when it went on the road and beat the Florida State Seminoles.

The Noles are involved in a rivalry game of their own this week at the Florida Gators. FSU broke a long losing streak to UF last year, and now, it is trying to win its first game in Gainesville in quite some time. The Gators have had a rough first season under Head Coach Will Muschamp, and a loss in this one would be debilitating for the program’s recruiting. The garnet and gold, even off of that aforementioned loss to the Cavaliers, are two point favorites.

More rivalry games of note… the Ohio State Buckeyes are getting 7.5 in the Big House against the Michigan Wolverines… the Clemson Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks are both out of the running for a slot in the BCS, as both really wilted in their most important games down the stretch. The Gamecocks are -4.5 at home in this rivalry game… The Civil War in the state of Oregon is expected to be quite one-sided. The Oregon State Beavers are 28 point favorites on the road in Autzen, where the Oregon Ducks will need to win to wrap up the Pac-12 North… The Mississippi State Bulldogs need a win to attain bowl eligibility this year, and they is a comfortable 17.5 point favorite over the Mississippi Rebels at home in the Egg Bowl… The USC Trojans can end the Pac-12 South title hopes for the UCLA Bruins in the battle of Tinseltown this year. USC is favored by 14.5.

The Big Ten Championship Game already has one entrant in the Michigan State Spartans, but their foe will be decided on Saturday when the Penn State Nittany Lions head to Camp Randall to tango with the Wisconsin Badgers. No one really gave Penn State a chance of winning on the road last week at Ohio State, but it got the job done and kept its Rose Bowl hopes alive. The Nittany Lions are getting no respect in this one though, as they are 15 point pups.

Finally, we have a lot of teams that are putting their BCS bowl hopes on the line. The Oklahoma Sooners are going to take on the Iowa State Cyclones, who just upset the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday night to gain bowl eligibility. OU can’t afford a third loss, no matter who it is to, which is why the oddsmakers have made it a four touchdown favorite. Of course, Okie State was a four TD favorite last week as well, and we all saw what the Cyclones were able to pull off in that situation…

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Stanford Cardinal are probably playing for an at large bid to the BCS. Notre Dame isn’t necessarily in with a win, while Stanford isn’t necessarily out with a loss, but the Cardinal are in with a win, and the Irish are out with a loss. The Cardinal haven’t played well over the course of the last two weeks, but they are still favored by 6.5 in this one against the Irish, who finally cracked the Top 25 in the BCS rankings this week.

Week 11 of the 2011 NFL campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2011 Week 11 NFL football lines and (at the very bottom) spreads along with a breakdown of the current Week 11 NFL odds. There are some extremely big favorites on the week 11 NFL odds this week, but that just means that there are probably going to be some big, big surprises as well!

We don’t even have NFL odds yet for a few games that are going to feature some big lines. The New England Patriots are going to be decided favorites against the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Green Bay Packers are going to likely be the biggest favorites of the week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lambeau Field.

That being said, of the games that are on the board, there are five teams that are favored by at least a touchdown.

The biggest of the bunch for now is the San Francisco 49ers against the Arizona Cardinals. This is probably the last even remotely possible chance for anyone to run down the Niners atop this division. In recent weeks, the Cardinals have beaten the Eagles and challenged the Ravens on the road, so there might be some sort of a hope here for another upset. However, the hosts are 8-1 and are well on their way to a first round bye in the playoffs in all likelihood. They probably won’t be derailed in this one considering the fact that they are 10 point choices of the oddsmakers.

Either the Baltimore Ravens or the Cincinnati Bengals will be tied for first place in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers when Sunday is over with, as the two meet up with one another at M&T Bank Stadium. The bigger story might not be the winner of this game, but the loser. The team that turns out on the wrong side of this one is going to be right on the fence in the playoffs. Though Cincinnati was able to fight with the Steelers at home last week, this is a totally different challenge. There is a reason why it is a 7.5 point underdog on Sunday.

In other action, the Dallas Cowboys are nine point road favorites against the Washington Redskins in a divisional rivalry game, while the Atlanta Falcons are laying seven against the Tennessee Titans at the Georgia Dome in a battle of 5-4 teams.

The Detroit Lions have dropped three games in their last four, but they are going to have a great chance to get back in the win column when they take on the Carolina Panthers. They are the fifth of the TD+ favorites at home on Sunday, where they have played great ball of late. This is the first of two home games in just five days for Detroit, which gets the nod by seven against QB Cam Newton and company.

The best game of the week might pit the San Diego Chargers against the Chicago Bears. Chicago is one of the hottest teams in the league right now, as it has won three straight to comfortably solidify itself as a contender for one of the Wild Cards. Meanwhile, the Chargers really have no chance whatsoever of getting into the playoffs if they can’t figure out how to win the AFC West. They have dropped four straight though, and the likelihood is there that this one will be lost in the Windy City as well. The hosts are 3.5 point favorites.

On Sunday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles will have one final shot to at least have a chance of getting back in the NFC East race. They’re three games out with just seven to play, but they still realistically do have a chance of making up the difference on both the Dallas Cowboys and this week’s foes, the New York Giants. The boys in blue can get the season sweep if they can win this one, and they have really played tremendous football of late. A split against the Patriots and 49ers on the road was well deserved and was a great result, and because of that, the week 11 lines have New York as a 3.5 point home favorite on Sunday night football.

We notice on the NFL betting lines this week that the ‘totals’ have come down just a bit. We have two games that are posted in the mid-30s thus far this week, and there are more low scorers that are likely on the horizon. As the weather starts to cool down and wind and snow start to become factor in some of these venues, it is clear that the point totals are going to start to dip, which could finally halt some of these ridiculous numbers that quarterbacks are putting up through the air.

That being said, in the highest ‘total’ of the week to date, the Lions and the Panthers are set at 48.5. Still, this is the first time in weeks that we haven’t had a game with a ‘total’ of at least 50 (as of Sunday night’s opening NFL lines).

Week 12 of the 2011 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Seemingly each and every week, there are a number of teams on the college football odds that are big time favorites. Some weeks have more than others, but almost every week, whether a notable name, or a not-so-notable name, someone gets picked off. Case in point, last week it was the Boise State Broncos, who got nailed at home for the first time in a conference game since 1998 by the TCU Horned Frogs. This week, there are a number of huge favorites that should have no problems on paper, but you never really know until the game plays out.

We’ll start right at the top of the Week 11 rotation schedule, where the Northern Illinois Huskies are 19 point favorites against the Ball State Cardinals in a Tuesday night MAC showdown with huge implications in this conference. Don’t think that NIU is the only big time favorite in the middle of the week, though. Of the eight games that are going to be played between Tuesday and Friday this week, six of them feature games with spreads of at least 11 points.

Ball State is a bowl eligible team this year as well, which makes it all the more surprising that the spread is so high in this one. Of course, so too are the North Carolina Tar Heels, who are catching 11 against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Blacksburg on the Thursday, and so might be the Iowa State Cyclones, who are 25.5 point underdogs against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the No. 2 team in the country.

There are teams that are right in the thick of their conference fights; teams that the week 12 NCAA football lines have laying huge numbers; and against potentially dangerous teams.

The Wisconsin Badgers know that they will play in the Big Ten Championship Game if they win out, but they are facing a tough test in Champaign on Saturday against the Illinois Fighting Illini, who are trying ot break a four-game skid. The hosts are getting 14 in a conference game in a league which has featured a slew of incredibly tight games this year.

The Clemson Tigers already know that they are going to the ACC Championship Game, and they might be a bit complacent after locking that bid up. They’re on the road in Raleigh this week against the NC State Wolfpack, where they are laying nine points.

“Between the Hedges,” the Georgia Bulldogs can wrap up the SEC East if they beat the Kentucky Wildcats. It would be an inexcusable defeat if it weren’t to happen.  However, they’re facing a Kentucky team in week 12 that needs a win to have a shot at bowl eligibility.  So, you know that the stakes are high are both squads. That being said, the week 12 college football odds have the Dawgs laying a whopping 28.5 points at home in this matchup.

The top team in the land, the LSU Tigers are 28.5 point favorites in week 12, and they have to go on the road and cover such a number. That being said, the Ole Miss Rebels aren’t exactly tough competition, but games on the road in the SEC can always be tough regardless of the foe, so this is definitely a spot where a team could be involved in an upset, especially with the Bayou Bengals looking forward to that big showdown next week against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Think the Hogs have it easy? Think again. The Mississippi State Bulldogs pushed the Alabama Crimson Tide for the full 60 minutes last week in Starkville, and now they go to Little Rock to try to secure a bowl bid. The hosts are 13 point home favorites.

In the showdown of the desert, the Arizona Wildcats are going to look to derail the Pac-12 South title hopes of the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Devils are laying 10, but they have been the subject of upsets as big favorites in back to back weeks.

Continuing with teams that could become upset bait when push comes to shove… The TCU Horned Frogs are -33.5 in a game that would clinch the Mountain West title against the Colorado State Rams in Fort Worth… The UCLA Bruins are only -8.5 at home against the lowly Colorado Buffaloes with the Pac-12 South title potentially being at hand…The Oklahoma Sooners are on the road at the Baylor Bears, where they are laying 13.5 points at the same venue in which the aforementioned Horned Frogs were upset right at the start of the year… And finally, the Stanford Cardinal, fresh off of their upset loss against the Oregon Ducks are giving 20 to the Cal Golden Bears in the annual “Big Game.”

Not everything is a total mismatch this week, though. Sure, on paper, the Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans are separated by 15 points on the Week 12 odds. However, we recognize that this is like the National Championship Game for the Trojans, who would love to prove that they are good enough to beat the best in the Pac-12. Oregon still has its sights set on the BCS National Championship Game, but it’ll take a victory in this one, likely in convincing fashion, to keep those dreams alive.

Perhaps the biggest game of the day is the Big Ten title eliminator between the Michigan Wolverines and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Big Red went on the road last week and won arguably its biggest game since joining the Big Ten at the Penn State Nittany Lions. Now, they have to go to the Big House for the first time, where the Michigan Wolverines will be waiting. Big Blue still has a chance, but it needs a win and a heck of a lot of help in the Big Ten title race. Regardless, it will want this one to move up the bowl ladder and to potentially even keep some faint BCS bowl hopes alive. The hosts are laying 2.5 in Ann Arbor.

As far as those Nittany Lions, they’re back on the road this week in the Horseshoe against the struggling Ohio State Buckeyes. The Bucks were beaten last week by the Purdue Boilermakers to likely end any hope of winning the Big Ten, but they are still going to be fighting to put pressure on PSU. If Wisconsin loses earlier in the day, this could send Penn State to the Big Ten Championship Game in spite of the fact that Head Coach Joe Paterno has been fired. That being said, the week 12 college football lines have the Nittany Lions getting seven.

Finally, in the only other game between two ranked teams that we haven’t discussed yet, the Texas Longhorns will play host to the Kansas State Wildcats. The Cats have proven that they can play with some of the best teams in the land in recent weeks, and a road win here will keep their slim BCS bowl hopes alive. There’s still no confidence in one of the Top 20 ranked teams in the land though, as KSU is getting nine in Austin.

If you’re a fan of big time divisional rivalry football, this is the week of NFL betting action for you!

We’ll start right at the top with the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders. The Bolts are the type of team that will blow at least one of these games with the Raiders, and this might be the big time gaffe that the team pulls to cost it its season. Oakland lost last week inexplicably against the Denver Broncos, and few are giving it much of a chance to snap its two game losing streak. At least a tie for first place in the division is guaranteed in this one. The week 10 NFL lines have San Diego favored by a touchdown in the first Thursday Night Football game of the year.

From there, we’ll head to the AFC North, where the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to try to lick their wounds from last week’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The winner of this one will move into second place in the division, while the loser will drop to third and likely into a tie for the final Wild Card slot in the conference. It’s amazing to think that Pittsburgh could legitimate drop from the best record in the AFC to right on the cusp of the postseason, but it’s quite possible. The Bengals are only 3.5 point home underdogs at Paul Brown Stadium.

First place in the NFC South is on the line on Sunday afternoon in Hot ‘Lanta as well. The Atlanta Falcons are getting absolutely no respect in this one, as they are narrow one point home underdogs against the New Orleans Saints. Sure, the Saints are rolling right now, but Atlanta has won three in a row and finally looks like the team that won the NFC South last year and was the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

Meanwhile in the other NFC South game of note, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play host to the AFC South leading Houston Texans. Houston has finally opened up a game and a half lead in the division, one that it doesn’t figure to choke away before the end of the season, while the Bucs are just trying to hang in there in the Wild Card race in the NFC since winning the NFC South seems to be a bit far out of reach at the moment. Speaking of no respect for the hosts, the Bucs are catching 3.5 from the oddsmakers in spite of the fact that the Texans are still dealing with a boatload of injuries.

From there, we’ll go to the NFC North, where all four teams are playing divisional games. On Monday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers look to continue their perfect season against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes were stingy in their first meeting just a few weeks ago, but QB Christian Ponder now has a two more starts (and two wins!) under his belt. Still, the oddsmakers aren’t thinking that this is going to be even a remotely close contest. Green Bay is the only double digit favorite of the week at -13.5, and the game has the highest ‘total’ at 51.

On Sunday afternoon on week 10, the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears probably play in their most important game since the AFL/NFL merger. These two would both be in the playoffs if they started today, and it is clear if the Bears want to move onto totally solid ground for the postseason, this is a game that they need to win. Detroit won the first go around of these two teams in primetime, and if it can go into the Windy City and pull out a win, it’ll be hard to see how it won’t be a playoff team. The Bears are the short field goal favorites in this one though, and we expect to see a tremendously close game through and through.

In perhaps the most interesting game this week and perhaps the most curious line of all the week 10 NFL lines, puts the New York Giants against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s somewhat odd to think that these two teams are both in front of their divisions heading into week ten, and it’s even odder to think that they are both leading their divisions by multiple games. Especially if the Saints end up losing to the Falcons earlier in the day, the winner of this game is going to have a tremendous leg up on a first round bye in the playoffs. That especially goes for San Fran, which would be 8-1 with the tiebreaker over the Bucs and the Giants with a slew of lousy divisional games to play. Everyone is waiting for the G-Men to fold, but they were able to win last week in Foxboro, ending a streak of over four years since QB Tom Brady had been beaten at home. The 49ers are 3.5 point favorites and have been great against the spread this year.

We might as well mention week ten’s most crucial NFL games in the “Suck for Luck” Sweepstakes. The Indianapolis Colts are three point underdogs in their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which might be the last legitimate chance that the hosts have of winning a game. The Miami Dolphins are 3.5 point home favorites to extend their winning streak to a whopping two games when the Washington Redskins come to town. And lastly, the St. Louis Rams are 2.5 point underdogs in the Dawg Pound against the Cleveland Browns.

But back to games that really matter… The Buffalo Bills are expecting to fold down the stretch, as they were beaten at home last week by the New York Jets and still have a brutally tough schedule left to play. The first game of the bunch comes at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, a game that the hosts really can’t afford to lose with the Giants and Bears suddenly playing so well. Dallas can move above the .500 mark with a ‘W’, while the Bills are just trying to stay in the race in the three way tie of the AFC East. It should be no surprise that Buffalo is a six point underdog.

And finally, on Sunday Night Football, Head Coach Rex Ryan takes aim at the New England Patriots. Ryan’s Jets are trying to send the Patriots to their third straight loss and their fourth game with offensive struggles. There is no doubt that the athleticism is there to pull it off, especially if the team plays as well as it did against the Bills last week in Orchard Park. That being said, the Brady Bunch has to be tired of losing, and if it drops this one, it realizes that it will be out of the playoff picture for the time being. However, the hosts are the slender one point favorites on the Week 10 betting lines.

Week 11 of the 2011 college football campaign is going to get underway this weekend. Below you will find the current list of 2011 Week 11 NCAA football lines and spreads along with a breakdown of the Week 11 college football lines. Surprisingly, this is going to be a Saturday in which there aren’t all that many humongous favorites, which could make for a wild, wild weekend. Sure, the Houston Cougars are five touchdown favorites over the Tulane Green Wave, but that game is on Thursday, not Saturday. The only teams that is favored by more than three touchdowns are the Wisconsin Badgers, which are getting the nod by 27 on the road at the Minnesota Golden Gophers, and the No. 1 team in the country, the LSU Tigers, who are laying 41.5 at home against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The big game of the week is the clash down on “The Farm,” where the Stanford Cardinal and the Oregon Ducks are going to duke it out against one another. These two are fighting for not just Pac-12 supremacy, but for a spot to stay in the National Championship race as well. Everyone is talking about the possibility of an LSU/Alabama rematch in the title game, but an LSU/Oregon rematch isn’t totally out of the question either. That being said, the winner of this one is going to probably still need some help to get into the title game, but it is definitely the toughest test that either will have left. To show just how evenly matched these two teams are, Stanford, which has covered all nine games this season, is only favored by 3.5 points, basically the value of home field advantage.

The team that would love to stay off the ropes this week is the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Pokes are three wins away from playing for a championship in all likelihood, and that starts this week at the Texas Tech Red Raiders. If the guns could be up in Norman, they definitely could be up in Lubbock as well. The Red Raiders know what it is like to pull off an upset, and they need one more win against a brutal schedule to make it to a bowl game. Will magic strike twice? If it is going to, it’s going to have to do so as 19 point underdogs.

This is likely the very last even remotely difficult test for the Boise State Broncos this year. This game against the TCU Horned Frogs may as well be called the MWC Championship Game, because the winner is certainly taking the conference crown. The question is whether Boise will be able to stay alive for the BCS or not. There was much made about this game at the start of the year, but two losses for the Horned Frogs have taken this one off of the radar. Still, the Broncos are only 14 point favorites, which is odd for a game that is played on the Smurf Turf.

There are three other games this week that pit a pair of Top 25 teams against each other. We’ll start on Thursday with the clash between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Though it’s not guaranteed to be this way, this is the de facto Coastal Division title game in the ACC. The winner will still have a shot at the BCS and potentially as an at large team as well, while the loser may as well get ready for something like the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. This one is at Bobby Dodd Stadium, where teams have had all sorts of troubles in the past, which is why the Hokies, in spite of the fact that they are ranked significantly higher than the Ramblin’ Wreck, are just one point favorites.

In the Big Ten, the big game pits the Nebraska Cornhuskers against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Nebraska lost control of the Legends Division of the Big Ten by losing at home inexplicably to Northwestern last week, and now, in order to stay alive for the BCS, it has to win this game. Penn State knows that it just needs to find a way to scratch together two wins in these final three games to win the Leaders Division, but it is going to be brutally tough with three difficult games left on the horizon. It may be little respect, but the Lions are 2.5 point home underdogs in this newly borne rivalry game.

Meanwhile in the SEC, the Georgia Bulldogs can wrap up the SEC East with a win and some help on Saturday. They’ll host the Auburn Tigers, who aren’t quite mathematically eliminated from the BCS quite yet. Auburn isn’t expected to stick around with a Georgia team that quite frankly, resembles last year’s Virginia Tech squad quite a bit. The Bulldogs haven’t been beaten since Week 2, and they are 13 point favorites to keep that intact this week.

Georgia will win the SEC East with that win if the South Carolina Gamecocks end up losing at home to the Florida Gators. The Gators haven’t beaten a good team all year, and they would benefit greatly from a victory on Saturday against a divisional rival. South Carolina lost its chance to control its own destiny for the SEC East title, but it was to be expected. A win though, parlayed with a Georgia loss would send the Cocks to the SEC Championship Game for the second time in team history. As of Sunday night, this game is off the board.

Remember when the duel between the Florida State Seminoles and the Miami Hurricanes used to actually mean something? The game is pretty irrelevant this year, as neither team is going to have trouble making a bowl game, nor will either team factor into the ACC Championship race. That being said, these two teams just downright hate each other, which should make for great viewing. The Canes are 9.5 point underdogs in Tallahassee off of what has been a long week of preparation for the Noles after their Thursday night thumping of Boston College last week.

The Texas Longhorns, Michigan State Spartans, and Michigan Wolverines are all going on the road this week in games that are potential traps. Texas is only a slender two point favorite against the Missouri Tigers, who badly need this game to get towards bowl eligibility. The Spartans are laying a field goal in the cornfields against the Iowa Hawkeyes. And Michigan, which lost at Kinnick Stadium last week, is only a 1.5 point favorite at the Illinois Fighting Illini.

And of course, there are the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are coming off of that loss in the “Game of the Century” against the Bayou Bengals. Bama is a 17 point favorite on the road this week in Starkville, but you had better believe that Head Coach Nick Saban will be preparing his team for what could be a real fight against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Lastly, there are two major divisional games that could have a big impact on the BCS. The Clemson Tigers are 16.5 point favorites over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at home. Should Clemson win this one, it will lock up its spot in the ACC Championship Game, while Wake needs to win to keep its BCS hopes alive. And then in the Big East, the West Virginia Mountaineers, off of their bad loss last week to Louisville at home, are at the conference leading Cincinnati Bearcats. The Cats are the only team in the conference to be ranked in the BCS Top 25, and there won’t be anyone left if this one is lost. The hosts are 3.5 point favorites to end the BCS dreams this year of the ‘Neers, which would be eliminated from Big East title contention with a loss.
