Andrew Luck ColtsHere at Bankroll Sports, we aren’t just interested in the gambling world, but the fantasy football world as well. Join us for our Week 5 fantasy football picks, including a heck of a lot of sleepers that might be worth playing throughout the weekend.

Rueben Randle, New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns: Once again, we know that the passing yards have to be going somewhere from QB Eli Manning, and knowing that WR Victor Cruz is going to draw all of the attention might let the rookie out of LSU finally take some major steps in the right direction for the first time in his career. Randle is one of these players, much like Ramses Barden did two weeks ago, that can come out of absolutely nowhere this week and put together eight catches, 100 yards, and a score very easily against a Cleveland seconday that ranks 30th in the NFL against opposing wide receivers.

Nick Novak, San Diego Chargers vs. New Orleans Saints: It’s not often that we take the time to talk about kickers here with our fantasy football talk, but this is a case where you can probably get a guy off of the waiver wire in your fantasy football league that can really step it up and make some big time kicks for you. Novak is kicking in a dome this week for the Chargers, a team that routinely does find ways to put some points on the board, in a game that very well could be a shootout. The Bolts have had troubles pounding the ball into the end zone at times, and they are going against a New Orleans defense that ranks 31st in the NFL against opposing kickers. Only once this year did they hold a kicker under 10 fantasy points. Novak might be a sneaky play, just as K Ryan Succop was a few weeks ago for the Chiefs in this same situation.

Kendall Hunter, San Francisco 49ers vs. Buffalo Bills: By all accounts, this week’s game for the Niners against Buffalo should be a blowout, just like last week’s 34-0 win over the Jets turned out to be. Hunter is going against a ‘D’ that just allowed not just one, but two different men to rush for over 100 yards against it, and we just don’t see how that type of play is going to change. Many are in a bye week pinch this week with running backs, and this could be the perfect time to slot in Hunter, who we know is going to get his 15-20 snaps on the field regardless of whether the game is a blowout or not.

Justin Forsett, Houston Texans vs. New York Jets: The same type of thing here. If you’re in a bye week pinch, Forsett might be a sneaky man to plug in. RB Arian Foster isn’t going to see his carries go up with RB Ben Tate out of the fold, as Head Coach Gary Kubiak wants to really keep his carries down. That means that it will be Forsett who gets to carry the ball behind this massive offensive line that is just provide massive holes that mack trucks could run through. If the Texans get ahead, as is expected, Forsett might get even more than the 6-8 carries that he would figure to get in a close game. A touchdown isn’t out of the question.

Matt Hasselbeck, Tennessee Titans vs. Minnesota Vikings: Hasselbeck was a wreck last week when he came off of the bench against the Houston Texans, but the truth of the matter is that Houston has one of the best defenses in the league. QB Jake Locker has already been ruled out for this week, and that leaves the vet to take on the Vikes in a much different situation. This game is in a dome, and it comes against a team that has a history of having a terrible secondary. We’re afraid that Hasselbeck might get killed in the pocket, getting sacked by a defense that could be all over the place. It might be an ugly day that looks a lot like a prototypical Jake Plummer day where he throws for 350 yards, 2 TDs, and 3 picks, but if you’re in a bye week pinch, that would translate out to 18 points, and that’s a heck of a respectable day.

Other Fantasy Football Sleeper Options For Week 5

Bernard Pierce, Baltimore Ravens: If the Chiefs get blown away in this game, something that is a distinct possibility, Pierce could get himself 10-12 carries in this game against a terrible defense.

Minnesota Vikings D/ST: DE Jared Allen is due for a 3+ sack day, and as we saw last week, you never know when WR Percy Harvin is going to return a kick 105 yards for a touchdown.

Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings: Rudolph is likely to get in the end zone this week against a Tennessee defense that has allowed just a slew of touchdowns to opposing tight ends this year.

Harry Douglas, Atlanta Falcons: It’s a deep flex play, but Douglas as a third receiver might be in for a huge day against a Washington defense that has had problems guarding slot receivers this year.

Jacob Tamme, Denver Broncos: Tamme has had two games this year with at least five catches, and New England has given up three TDs to tight ends in the last two weeks combined. Joel Dreessen might also make a decent start if you’re in a tight end pinch.

We’re down to the nitty-gritty of the fantasy football season, and we are set to head into the playoffs. Find yourself in a bind? Check out these fantasy football sleepers for Week 15!

Heath Miller vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Niners still haven’t allowed a rushing touchdown this year, and it is completely up in the air whether QB Ben Roethlisberger is going to give it a go or not on Monday Night Football. That doesn’t mean that all of a sudden, Pittsburgh isn’t going to score. It’ll be tough to get the ball up the field to these speedy receivers against a great San Fran secondary, but the Steelers might be able to work the ball to Miller in the slot. Miller only has 56 points so far this season in standard ESPN.com fantasy leagues, but he really could be in line for a decent day, especially near the red zone if RB Rashard Mendenhall can’t find any holes to take advantage of. This is a sneaky play for a man that you could probably find on the waiver wire.

Sammy Morris vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Before you ask who Sammy Morris is and what he is doing in this article, we’ll answer those questions for you. He might be the back that is getting the goal line carries this week against a rush defense that ranks dead last in the game against fantasy backs this year. The Cowboys signed Morris on Tuesday, but with both RBs Phillip Tanner and DeMarco Murray going on IR in recent weeks, Jerry Jones had to do something to bolster his team’s running game. RB Felix Jones isn’t anywhere near a between the tackles back, and at 6’2″, 200 lbs, we very well could see some action for Morris straight off of the streets, a la Kevin Smith a few weeks ago for the Lions. Don’t say that we didn’t warn you, especially against a Tampa Bay team that is turning the ball over a ton and can’t seem to get out of its own way offensively this year.

Santana Moss vs. New York Giants
Last week, Moss had 11 targets, but he was only able to convert on three of those. That being said, he did have 81 yards and a TD, and now, he is going against a defense which ranks No. 31 against fantasy wide receivers this year in that of the Giants. New York just doesn’t have a great secondary, and if you want proof of that, just check the 76 yards that Moss had the first time that these two teams met in Week 1. It seems as though Moss is getting back into the groove again after missing a month injured, and he could be in line for another big time day for Washington, as it tries to pull off the upset of the G-Men to ruin their playoff chances.

Arizona Cardinals D/ST vs. Cleveland Browns
In spite of the fact that the Browns have a hard time putting points on the board, they really haven’t been all that bad about turning the ball over and giving up sacks thanks to the short passing game of QB Colt McCoy. The Cardinals aren’t a turnover forcing machine either, but in this one, we know that we have a safe play that isn’t going to cost you points. We always have the off chance at a defensive TD, especially against an offense that is going to be likely featuring QB Seneca Wallace on Sunday, and we know that DB Patrick Peterson is always capable of returning a punt for a touchdown. The Cardinals have only had one week since Week 7 in which they have scored fewer than eight points. They’re not going to be a play that wins you your week, but if you’re in a bind and want a consistent option that you know will get you some point, Arizona’s defense and special teams could probably be had off of the waiver wires.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 14!

Nate Burleson vs. Minnesota Vikings
We took a stab at Burleson last week, and he had three catches for about 50 yards called back via offensive pass interference calls. That being said, his quarterback, Matt Stafford has been absolutely fantastic all season long, and with RB Kevin Smith still nursing that ankle injury, there doesn’t seem to be that much that the ground attack is going to do. Burleson has only found the end zone twice all year, but over these last four weeks, he has come up with seven, 12, four, and nine fantasy points. If you’re in a bind at wide receiver, this still is a good option to go to, especially in some deeper leagues or leagues which require that you use three wide receivers, or if you are looking for a decent flex play. Remember that the Vikes rank dead last in the league against opposing fantasy quarterbacks, and with all of the double and triple coverage being given to WR Calvin Johnson, Stafford has to be able to put the ball somewhere.

Santana Moss vs. New England Patriots
Moss was a middle round draft pick in most leagues this year, but he was probably dropped due to the fact that he was injured for over a month. That being said, he could probably be had on the waiver wires in most leagues, and he is going to make for a great start this week. Moss has been getting his targets over the course of the last two weeks, 13 of them to be exact, but they have only been parlayed into a total of six fantasy points. Last week, the Pats gave up just a slew of yards and points, especially late in the game against the Colts, and they have had a history of getting torched by opposing passing games. Wide receivers do more damage against the New England defense from a fantasy football perspective than any other defense in the league. Moss, in our eyes, is a must start that you can probably have for nothing via free agency.

Seattle Seahawks D/ST vs. St. Louis Rams
Last week, we made a huge mistake by recommending the Jaguars’ defense on Monday Night Football against the Chargers. This week, we vow to make amends. The Seahawks play better defense than they do offense, and this is as important of a game as they will play all season long against a terrible St. Louis team that just can’t get out of its own way. The Rams rank dead last in the league in scoring offense and in a number of offensive categories, and with the potential there for the weather to be iffy at CenturyLink Field, especially in front of that fantastic crowd that provides such a great home field advantage, Seattle makes for a great start. Over the last four week, the Seahawks have been good for 18, six, 20, and nine points, and they have been worth double digits five times this year.

Ricky Williams vs. Indianapolis Colts
Last week, we watched Williams get 13 fantasy points in his best day of the year against the Browns. It’s not like RB Ray Rice didn’t get his touches, as he rumbled for over 200 yards and a score. That being said, Williams also had 16 carries for 76 yards and a TD. Now comes an Indianapolis defense which can’t get out of its own way under most circumstances. Especially with this game at home, the possibility is there for a blowout, and just as we took a chance with RB Stevan Ridley last week with the Pats, we are confident that we can get double digits worth of points for the second straight week out of Williams after he didn’t do better than six in any game over the course of the first three months of the season.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 13!

DeAngelo Williams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Most who spent relatively high fantasy football draft picks on Williams have probably either cut him loose or have just forgotten about him. However, Carolina’s richest running back has had double digits worth of fantasy points in each of the last two weeks, and he is starting to at least get a few more carries than RB Jonathan Stewart. Either way, the Tampa Bay defense has had a miserable time going against some of the top running games in the league, as this unit ranks No. 31 in the league against rushers in terms of fantasy points. It’s always scary to see QB Cam Newton stealing touchdowns, but Williams has gotten a couple red zone looks of late, so we know that he at least has a shot of getting the job done.

Stevan Ridley vs. Indianapolis Colts
Ridley has only really had one good game this year, a 97-yard effort against the Oakland Raiders in Week 4. Since that point, he only has 21 carries for 46 yards without a sniff of the end zone. However, this game against the Colts is going to be an interesting one, as Head Coach Bill Belichick knows that this is going to be a great opportunity to use all of his running backs against a pitiful defense that ranks dead last in the league in a number of categories. Ridley may get some more looks, especially if RB Danny Woodhead and RB Shane Vereen can’t go, as both are injured.

Nate Burleson vs. New Orleans Saints
Odds have it, there is going to be a shootout in the Bayou on Sunday, and that means that QB Matt Stafford is going to have to put the ball in the air quite a bit to have any chance of sticking around with QB Drew Brees and the Saints. Burleson has had at least four catches in each of Detroit’s last four games, and he has emerged as a legitimate second receiver opposite of the great WR Calvin Johnson. Finding the end zone might be tough, as there is a lot of attention paid to both Johnson and TE Brandon Pettigrew when the Lions get in the red zone, but especially if you’re in a PPR league, Burleson makes for a great play, and he might be able to be had via free agency.

Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST vs. San Diego Chargers
The Jags are allowing just over 18 points per game this year, and you know that they are going to play a relatively short game with all of the running that RB Maurice Jones-Drew should be doing. That being said, the Chargers look like a lame team right now with a lame duck coach, and their offense just turns the ball over a ton. San Diego’s offense ranks No. 19 in the league for fantasy points against defensive, but a lot of the damage came at the start of the season when the team was 4-1. The Bolts haven’t won since that point, they have been devastatingly bad. That shouldn’t change on Monday with new Head Coach Mel Tucker in charge of the Jags.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 12!

Michael Jenkins vs. Atlanta Falcons
This is going to be an interesting week for the Minnesota offense without RB Adrian Peterson in the fold. WR Percy Harvin could be used more as a running back than anything else, and either way, QB Christian Ponder is likely going to have to put the ball in the air to get the job done against an Atlanta defense that typically excels against the run. The Falcons defense ranks No. 25 against fantasy wide receivers this year, and after DB Dunta Robinson, there really isn’t a heck of a lot out there in terms of defensive backs. Don’t be surprised if Jenkins, who has seen increased looks over the course of the last several weeks turns out to be a top target of Ponder’s on Sunday.

Harry Douglas vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikes have a miserable secondary, and they really don’t have the corners to be able to match up with QB Matt Ryan. Douglas has 16 catches and over 290 yards over the course of his last four games, and in one of those games, he didn’t have a catch because of WR Julio Jones’ massive game against Indy. The former Louisville Cardinal has a great chance to get the job done on Sunday. He doesn’t have a touchdown this year, but he does have a tremendous amount of big plays, and this could be the week that he breaks one into the end zone.

Joseph Addai vs. Carolina Panthers
If there is a week that you are going to want to use any of the Colts in your fantasy football lineup, this is probably the week to do it. Addai has been nursing a hamstring injury, but he is expected to give it a go this week. Be sure to check your injury report first. If Addai is out, you might want to give Delone Carter a shot this weekend. No matter who is going against the Panthers, the running backs seem to be picking up slews of yards and lots of touchdowns. Carolina ranks dead last in the league against running backs from a fantasy standpoint, and though Indianapolis seems to be rather anemic on the ground on a regular basis, this could be the week that everything changes.

Dustin Keller vs. Buffalo Bills
Keller hasn’t found the end zone since Week 2, and he really hasn’t had a remarkable game since Week 3, but he did have four catches for 64 yards against the Bills just three weeks ago. Now, the Jets are back at home, and the Buffalo defense doesn’t look all that much better. Against the Broncos last week, Keller had five receptions for 40 yards and a slew of looks, including a few in the red zone. The Bills tend to look like a mess right now, and we don’t think that they are going to be able to keep the Jets out of the zone all that often. We’ll take our chances on Keller at tight end if we’re in a bit of a bind.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 11!

Carson Palmer vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings rank No. 30 against the pass and are No. 31 against fantasy quarterbacks. Throw out that first game that Palmer played against Kansas City in which he was picked off three times, and you’ve got a man with some darn good fantasy stats. He’s thrown for 299+ yards in back to back games and has five touchdowns to go with it. Sure, those nine turnovers in 2.5 games are an eyesore, but it’s nothing that a couple touchdowns won’t make you feel better about. If you’re in a bye week binge at QB, this is your perfect start to make even though the Raiders are going on the road.

Michael Bush vs. Minnesota Vikings
Same game. Same type of result. The Vikings are a heck of a lot better against the run than the pass, but the way that the Raiders have force fed Bush over the last two games has been remarkable. It’s hard to believe that Bush is a backup tailback. When he has the backfield to himself though, look out! He had over 230 total yards and a TD last week, and we can see a heck of a lot more of the same this week against Minnesota. There’s just no way that Bush doesn’t get his hands on the ball at least 25 times if Run DMC is kept out of the lineup once again, which is sounding like more and more of a possibility.

Marshawn Lynch vs. St. Louis Rams
This is the same St. Louis team that just let Chris Ogbonnaya run for a ton of yards against it last week… Most have probably forgotten about Lynch, and we can see why that was the case up until a few weeks ago. He only averaged 6.4 fantasy points per game (standard ESPN scoring) over his first seven games of the year, and he looked like he was being overtaken by RB Leon Washington and a host of others in the Seattle backfield. That being said, against the Cowboys and Ravens in the last two weeks, Lynch has 55 carries, 244 yards, and a TD in each game. Now, he’s got an easy two game stretch against the Rams and Redskins and really should be started even if he is on your bench.

Dexter McCluster vs. New England Patriots
In most leagues, McCluster will work as a receiver or as a running back, which makes him the perfect play this week if you are weak in either spot due to a big bye week. We know that he hasn’t found the end zone all year long, but what we also know is that there really is no choice but to get the ball in his hands a heck of a lot more often that has already been the case. QB Tyler Palko will be checking down all game in all likelihood, and against a relatively not-so-athletic defense like that of the Patriots, this could ultimately be a game in which McCluster ends up with 60 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards, and that elusive touchdown.

Fantasy Football picks are here at Bankroll Sports this year, and we are going to try to make the most of your NFL props betting options at BoDog Sportsbook by giving you some of the best fantasy football sleepers in Week 10!

Jason Hill vs. Indianapolis Colts
If there were ever a week to go ahead and try to pick out a Jacksonville wide receiver to start in your fantasy lineup, this would be the week. Hill has had a consistent look of at least five targets per game for the most part, and QB Blaine Gabbert seems to look his way in the red zone quite a bit. However, this is a play that is more about going against the Colts than anything else. Indy ranks dead last in the league against wide receivers for fantasy purposes, and matters are really just getting worse for this team, not better. We watched WR Julio Jones totally rip this team apart last week. We’d just be happy with 60 yards and a score from Hill, though.

Chris Johnson vs. Carolina Panthers
It’s really sad that we are considering Johnson as a bit of a sleeper pick, but with the way that he has played this year, he certainly isn’t an automatic start every single week. Last week, he really showed some decent signs though, coming up with a couple long plays against the Bengals, and now, he has his best matchup of the season on the road against a Panthers team that ranks dead last in the league against fantasy running backs. If CJ2K can’t figure out how to find the end zone in this one and account for more than a season-high 12 points (in standard ESPN fantasy leagues), he’s never going to do it.

Brandon Pettigrew vs. Chicago Bears
According to ESPN.com, the Bears have allowed a whopping 80 targets in nine games against opposing tight ends, and they have allowed an average of almost 10 points per game against tight ends. Pettigrew found the end zone against them earlier this year, and QB Matt Stafford continues to look the big man’s direction when the team is near the end zone. You have to go back to Week 6 to find the last time Pettigrew scored a touchdown, and he only has seven catches for 39 yards since then, but we have confidence that this is the week that he is going to be back in the saddle and back on the big time scoreboard.

Christian Ponder vs. Green Bay Packers
Ponder isn’t afraid to scramble out of the pocket, which could give him a heck of a lot of rushing yards against the Green Bay defense this week. He has a chance to crack double digits once again in points this week, just as he has done in each of his first two starts. There are definitely worse quarterback situations to have. Remember that the Packers, for as vaunted as they have been this year, rank No. 28 against opposing fantasy quarterbacks, and in a game in primetime which could feature a slew of points, Ponder might make a nice start to fill in for a quarterback with a bad matchup.
