As we go into another week on the NBA playoff schedule, we here at Bankroll Sports are taking the time to recognize all of the teams that are on the verge of making it to the conference finals. There are some teams that have their seasons hanging in the balance as well, and they are going to try to fight as long as they can to keep their year alive.
Even the top team in our NBA Power Rankings, the Miami Heat are in a heck of a lot of trouble. Dwyane Wade is hurting with a leg injury, and Chris Bosh is likely going to miss at least the rest of this series against the Indiana Pacers, and maybe more… if the Heat survive. Going into play on Sunday, the Heat are down 2-1 to Indiana, and they have been blown out of the water in two straight games. Roy Hibbert is dominating in the paint, and the rest of the Pacers are playing with a tremendous amount of confidence right now.
Elsewhere in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are fighting in their best-of-seven series as well. The two teams are level at two games apiece, and it wouldn't be all that surprising to see either team playing in the Eastern Conference Finals. You aren't going to want to miss our Live NBA Odds Page, which will show all of the game lines for Game 5, and the rest of the games in this and all of the series in the NBA playoffs.
Out West, things are a little bit more cut and dry. The team that is going to be holding home court advantage in the NBA Finals is the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have been the hottest team in the league this year, accounting for a 15-1-1 ATS and 17-0 record in their last 17 games dating back to the regular season, and they are making incredibly short work of the Los Angeles Clippers. It has been good to see the Clips in the second round of the playoffs, but in the end, they just don't have enough to fight it out with one of the best teams in the league. The Spurs could be in the Western Conference Finals as early as Sunday, when they can close out this series at Staples Center. Be sure to check out our NBA Playoff Matchups Page quite often, to check out which teams are going to be playing against each other and to get the latest news and notes for all of the duels on the NBA playoff schedule.
The Spurs have had an easy time of it in the playoffs so far, but that doesn't mean that they are the favorites on the Odds To Win The 2012 NBA Championship. The Heat are still one of the top teams in the league, and it is clear that it is going to be a tossup between the Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. The Thunder aren't quite out of the woods yet, but their series with the Los Angeles Lakers seems to be just about over. The win on Saturday at Staples Center give OKC the 3-1 lead in this series, and with the way that the Lakers are fighting with one another, it just doesn't seem all that likely that the boys in purple and gold, who are just 2-5 in their last seven games, are going to be able to mount a comeback this time around.
There aren't all that many games left in the NBA betting campaign, but here at Bankroll Sports, you don't want to miss any of our Expoert NBA Basketball Picks. Football and basketball might be all the craze right now in the sports betting world, but here at Bankroll Sports, we are keeping a very close eye on some of the other sports that are going on right now, along with taking a look at some of the best futures odds for sports that aren’t quite in season yet.
We’ll start with a sport that is all set to get revved up here in a few weeks. The Daytona 500 is right around the corner, and that means that we are set for another Chase for the Sprint Cup. Jimmie Johnson was knocked off of his pedestal last year after winning the title five straight times, and now, it is Tony Stewart who is holding the championship at the moment. “Smoke” really caught some fire at the end of the year and dominated the Chase, but there are a slew of other drivers that are going to be right on his tail. Check out our 2012 Sprint Cup Picks!
The NHL betting season is about halfway through, and there are definitely some teams on the ice that you should be backing on a regular basis. The Boston Bruins are as hot as could be, but the New York Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks are trying to hold them off in the race for the President’s Trophy. It’s all about the final prize though, Lord Stanley’s Cup, and with the playoffs starting to come into sight, now is the perfect time to invest in our 2012 Stanley Cup Picks.
Pitchers and catchers are still two months away from reporting, and the Fall Classic is still quite a ways away, but there have definitely been some moves on the diamond that have us interested in the odds to win the World Series already. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are the toast of the town after a day in December in which they signed both Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson, but the Texas Rangers could be firing back with the signings of Japanese sensation Yu Darvish and Prince Fielder any time now. The Miami Marlins have some new faces, a new manager, and a new ballpark. Will it all translate into success? Can the Tampa Bay Rays continue their magical success? Can the St. Louis Cardinals figure out how to repeat as World Series champs even though they had to fight at the brink of elimination a number of times last season? Will the spending that brought a new pitching staff together in the Big Apple make a difference to the New York Yankees? And will the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves get over their respective collapses from last season? Check it all out with our 2012 World Series Odds and Picks.
Finally, we’ll take a look at the world of college football. Players are declaring for the NFL Draft left and right, and there are a heck of a lot of changes that are on the horizon in the landscape in the NCAAs. That being said, this is still the SEC’s world, and the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers, the teams that played for the BCS National Championship this year are going to be favored once again to play for the whole enchilada. The Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks are great as well, and the newcomers in the SEC, the Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers are going to be contenders to boot. The TCU Horned Frogs are joining the Big XII, and that could even open the door for a team like the Boise State Broncos to barge in and run the table yet again. You can find it all with our 2013 BCS National Championship Predictions and 2012 College Football Season Preview.
